“Lilly was amazing. She was quick to respond to messages. Sent plenty of photos, pictures and updates. She was willing to pickup and and was punctual with drop off. I highly recommend Lilly for dog sitting/boarding”

About: I have experience in all things dog walking, training, crate training, bath time, feeding time, medicine distribution, playtime, socializing, house training, dog birthday parties, and specialized attention. I prioritize dogs health and walkies so I always get up in the cold mornings, feed them on time, take good walks, and take them to the park for socialization. I base my schedule around letting them out and giving them enough playtime to reduce boredom. My house is clear of any hazards and all cleaning supplies are put away. Since it’s not my pet, we will not be going off leash on walks.
“Hadley was wonderful with my older pup. She sent photos of their walks together and noted my dogs quirky behaviors. I will definitely use her again if I come back into town.”

“Elisabeth is phenomenal! She watched our pups for 5 days and provided them with the best care. She was very aware of each dog’s needs/rules and was so attentive. We also had some logistical complexity during our time in Steamboat, and she was so easy to work with, super communicative, and very helpful!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for friends, neighbors, and people in the community for the past couple of years. I have stayed at other peoples houses, let other dogs stay at my place, and have also done just some dog walking in the afternoons. I also worked at Beaver Brook Pet Center two summers ago where I took care of all the dogs boarding there and took them outside everyday, so I have experience with all different kinds and sizes of dogs! I’m currently working part-time this summer typically on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9-5, but I get an hour long lunch break at noon so I would be able to take the dogs out then if needed and would be able to take them out before and after work for a nice long walk! But I am very open on my weekends and at night for the summer! I love being outdoors, so if your dog likes long walks I would love to take them on hikes and long walks, and make sure they get enough outdoors time! I also make sure to feed the dogs at the same time everyday. I have experience and am comfortable giving any medications to your little ones if necessary as well! If your dog is friendly I also have a super sweet dog at home named Obi who can keep him company!
About: Having been a dog lover since childhood, I’ve always had dog sitting gigs for a side hustle. I also managed a professional boarding kennel for 5 years where I learned to care for pets of all sizes, personalities and needs. The great outdoors are my life, and I have grown into a passion hunting dogs, and have spent the last 4 years training my Labrador retriever. I have two dogs of my own, West, my four year old trusty hunting black Labrador, and Tilly a nine year old German Shepherd mix. I’m mostly available on weekends (Friday-Sunday), but depending on your dog’s daily needs, I can be flexible. I live in Oak Creek, but work in Steamboat Springs at a very dog friendly environment. I ensure your pet gets the basic care they need, plus extra love, photos, and time outside. I am flexible on whether you want me to stay in your home, or in mine, again depending on the specific pet’s needs and location.

“Suzanne and her family took fantastic care of our older golden. Suzanne sent regular updates and it was obvious our pup had a blast. I will definitely use Suzanne for again next time we have a Steamboat ski weekend.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I’ve had all types of pets ranging from dogs and cats to horses and reptiles and have 15+ years of experience in pet sitting. I have extensive experience with horses and farm animals as well, through riding, competing, and training horses for most of my life. My 1.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog, Ruger, comes with me to any stays that I book. He is very well behaved and friendly with all animals. When I am not at your house (at work, errands, etc.), he goes back to stay at my house. If you have ANY questions at all about me or my services, feel free to reach out and I would love to get to know you and your furry friend! I work Monday – Thursday at the hospital and have short mid-day lunch breaks, but if you live within 5 minutes of the hospital, I can often make mid-day potty breaks work with my schedule. I work Monday - Thursday at the hospital and have short mid-day lunch breaks, but if you live within 5 minutes of the hospital, I can often make mid-day potty breaks work with my schedule. During my non-working hours and on my off days, I am able to spend as much time with your pets as possible. I am committed to making sure your pet is safe and well cared for in a setting that is familiar to them. If your pet has any special needs or requirements, I am happy to work with you to accommodate them.
“Sunny had the best time with Sarah! They went on fun adventures together and I got so many adorable pictures! I am so grateful for Sarah and would recommend her to all my fellow doggy parents! ♥️”

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 13 years old and have previously owned a dog for over 16 years. I am excellent at training new dogs and am fully capable of taking care of their every need. I have experience with both large and small dogs and am confident handling either size. I adore both dogs and cats and will show the same love and attention to your pet as if it were my own. I have very flexible hours and can typically choose my own schedule, so I would be able to dedicate extra time and attention to caring for your pet and making sure all of their needs are met. I live in a pet friendly apartment with a balcony that is pet safe and have a yard as well as a park that is very close to where I live. Boarded dogs would typically go on walks 3 times a day unless preferred differently by owner and play time would happen regularly throughout the day.
About: I am an animal lover and will do anything in my power to ensure your furbaby is well-cared for and communication is clear and exceeds your expectations so you can ease your worries and take care of business or enjoy your vacation. I am available for drop in visits morning, throughout the day and at the end of the day. If your pet needs special attention let me know! If they are cat friendly they can stay at my place otherwise I can make arrangements to potentially stay at your place if your pet needs overnight care. My attention to detail and deep compassion will guide my care as I communicate with you to best understand needs, schedule and expectation of care. I love direct, clear communication that helps us make a plan and communicate any changes or challenges along the way.
About: Hi, I’m Juliette! 🐾 Animals have always been at the center of my life. I’ve worked at a veterinary clinic assisting vet techs, which gave me hands-on experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. On top of that, I’ve raised multiple dogs myself, so I know just how much love, care, and attention they require to feel safe and happy. I also have experience working with shy and reactive animals. With patience, kindness, and understanding, I make sure each pet feels comfortable at their own pace. Whether it’s going on a walk, enjoying playtime, or simply keeping them company, I’ll give your fur baby the same love and care I’d want for my own. Most importantly—I want your pet to have fun and feel loved while you’re away! ❤️ I have a very flexible schedule right now, I am willing to work around what times or days are needed for your animal! I usually need a few days notice— but also completely welcome same day requests. I live in a cozy condo with running room right outside my door. I promise to provide any kind of walks to your pooch that are needed! I also love hikes/being outdoors or am up for a lazy day inside depending on energy level.

I prioritize keeping them engaged through play time and exercise (spring creek is my favorite trail to take pups on) I pride myself on patience, especially the youngsters, and am always happy to keep up with training programs I’ve also seen several cats and dogs through the end of their lives, and emphasize the importance of their comfort, as they’re all kittens/puppies/young at heart and deserve the attention to keep them feeling that way. Though if they are partial to snuggling, pups are always welcome to night time cuddles.
About: I grew up with dogs and have been taking care of friends dogs ever since I can remember. In my community I am often the first person called when it comes down to finding a trustworthy pet sitter. In addition, I have spent the last 5 years working with/ and babysitting kids with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. As a full time student I spend a lot of my time doing school work but, like dogs, need to get out and run around. I get to spend my time outside, on walks, runs, and bikes in between classes and on the weekends. I live in an apartment with two other dog loving girls. I am more than happy to share my bed or floor with an interested pup. Although I don't have a yard, I live right across from a big soccer field and have access to the horse gulch trail system behind my apartment (which I frequently use). I am currently working as a plumber for my dad. I tend to have lots of leniency with work and can even bring a pup with me! My house is open to all cats and dogs and that includes the couch haha! I live outside of town in a house where dogs have lots of room to roam and even a pond! In my home the safety of all pets is very important :)
“Chad was so incredible to our dog. He really let her become part of the family. He gave her delicious food, let her sleep with the family in the bed, took her on plenty of walks, sent a ton of updates. She was in heat and he handled the diapers and her need for love so well. I felt so assured that she was having a really good time, and when we got back to her she wasn’t anxious at all. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on Rover. I can’t recommend him enough. He was super flexible and accommodating and overall, a really good person who gave our girl so much love and comfort.”

This isn’t just a side gig for me it’s what I genuinely love doing. “Elisabeth is incredibly responsive and caring. I was so happy to hear about the great day Merlin had and felt so comfortable knowing he was well-taken care of and given lots of attention and exercise. Fantastic pet sitter!! One of the most professional people I have ever encountered on Rover.”

“Laura and her sweet family were fantastic with our pooch while we did non-dog activities in Steamboat! She was super considerate when she has an offer of another booking and asked great questions to ensure all of the dogs would get along together and that we were comfortable with the plan. Would highly suggest and use Laura and family again!”

“Suzanne was very attentive and affectionate towards our dog, a 6-yr-old Portuguese Water Dog who has lots of energy. He and her dog, Emmi, got along wonderfully and played with each other enough that ours came home fairly exhausted (that’s a good thing!). Suzanne lives in a very nice neighborhood with a nice house that has a lawn for doggies to play on without getting dirty (yea!). I recommend her highly as a dog sitter!”

“"I cannot recommend Mayra enough. She sent us photos and videos of our furry baby, which made our vacation so relaxing because we knew he was in great hands. Mayra was able to confirm our appointment within an hour of us needing someone to take care of our puppy. She was caring, and truly treated our dog like their own. Thank you for the amazing care!"”

“Liam did a fantastic job taking care of Bowie. I really like his calm, friendly demeanor which put my pup and me at ease. When I picked Bowie up I could tell he received a good amount of exercise, but wasn’t overstimulated or anxious. Liam was quick to respond to any questions I had and sent me a picture of Bowie during the day just to let me know he was doing well.”

“This worked out great! Juanita was available on short notice, and very responsive, and we were able to keep our pup sheltered from the extreme daytime heat while we were camping in Steamboat. Very grateful that we had this last minute solution.”

About: Lots of experience with dogs in particular. Always enjoy time with them and I think they enjoy time with me. And our 2 girls are very welcoming and eager to have new friends visit. I work from home so having another mouth or 2 around to feed and a friend or 2 more to play with is never an issue. Yard is not fenced but pets will never be left outside unattended. However, I have a large deck that is fully enclosed so weather permitting the pets are free to enjoy the outside as they wish.

“Cali was a happy camper and got so excited to see Lacey for second walk. Lacey is very personable and definitely comfortable around animals. I’ll definitely use Lacey again.”

About: * Been taking care of friends' loved ones for decades * Ample, daily play-time is provided * Live near Rita Valentine so short or long hikes very accessible * My rules are your rules - whatever is needed to make things seamless for you and your pet so they are comfortable while you are away * I work from home and have a very flexible schedule * I'm able to walk dogs very regularly on whatever schedule they normally have * I live up the street from Yampa Core Trail and right by Rita Valentine so ample options to get them out and exercising * 15-45 minutes hikes are very easy to accommodate * My husband is retired so he is also home. He is a SUCKER for an offered belly so often his choosing to work out or doing any work around the house is ignored in favor of rubbing bellies! * I'm in a very quiet and dog-friendly neighborhood. * I have a nice side-yard but it is not fenced in. Dogs are never let out on their own. * Dogs are allowed on furniture and to sleep in bed - I try to follow whatever is the "norm" for them * I have no problem taking dogs in my car to run errands (if they have separation issues) or to have variety at Spring Creek or other nearby walking areas. * For the senior loved ones: there is an enclosed flight of stairs to get into the house. Carrying pups up stairs is NOT an issue - I had an injured gal who was limping and I just picked her up to make it easier. (50-ish lbs)

There three walks are the minimum we do, we’re flexible to anything. On weekends we take our pups with us to dog friendly locations. Our schedule revolves heavily on our guests and we do everything we can so they feel comfortable in our home. Our apartment has a big couch which we allow the pups to use. We have a toy box filled with balls, stuffed animals, ropes, kongs, etc. It’s expected that toys get played with so we have constant supervision and discard any broken toy.

About: I’ve grown up around almost every type of animal and have even helped my dog deliver her babies! I absolutely treat my animals better than I treat myself and would without a doubt do the same for any other animal too! Always make sure they’re fed, played with/walked, and above all loved! About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and enjoy taking them on fun walks or energetic hikes to keep them healthy and happy! I am currently working part-time, so I have a flexible schedule to hang out with furry friends. I have a changing schedule that varies week to week, but I am happy to find a time that works for us both. I am committed to making you and your dogs comfortable and happy. Safety is my priority, and I focus on maintaining an enjoyable and positive environment for your pup.
About: I have been caring for pups since childhood and have a true passion for animals. Dog sitting was my first means of income as a child with my neighbors (and parents) allowing me to care for their dogs into my home while also growing up with a number of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and rodents. My love for animals has only grown and for the first time in my life I have no pets of my own. For that reason, Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time where my heart is and surround myself with what I love while also helping others. I have a great deal of experience training puppies as well as handling dogs with behavioral issues. Look forward to hearing from you! I am available to provide frequent care every day of the week. I work 4-6 hour shifts 3-4 days per week and love playing with pups the rest of my free time. Let me know your needs and I can work with you! As I am unable to care for pets in my home I will be happy to follow all rules and guidelines you have in place for the care of your home and pets!

About: I love taking care of all animals: dogs, cats, birds, etc As a steamboat local I have a deep love for our home, local wildlife, and furry family members. I’ve also been raised on a sustainability mindset, mindful of electricity, water, and waste as it impacts our community. I often care for the pets of local friends of many years but am keen to make new friends (furry or not!). With my current transition through my marine biology career, I’ve got loads of free time and am able to prioritize the needs of any pets that are letting their owners enjoying well deserved holidays! I have my own car so I am able commute to take care of any that need and bring them on the best local adventures. I live out of town, giving a pup a chance to enjoy the freedom of country life, on or off leash. My own family dog, a border collie named Millie, loves new friends (she was the one comforting other pups during her time in shelter life) and is always happy to show them around the rural neighborhood. We have a closed garage and lockable doggy door for safety at night. And a comfortable living area with adjustable temperature for any pups sleeping crates.
