I have a dog of my own so pet care is part of my daily lifestyle, From playing fetch in the yard to taking my girl for walks on the beach! I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly and well trained 1 year old golden Ausiedoodle to keep your dog very thoroughly entertained!
“Abby was absolutely wonderful as a sitter. My regular sitter was out of town and unavailable to take care of my dog but Abby was very quick to respond and setting up a meet and greet was super easy. She sent me plenty of updates throughout the five days I was away, and always messaged whenever she had a question regarding my dog's care. I went on my trip with full confidence that he would be well taken care of!”

“Lilly was amazing. She was quick to respond to messages. Sent plenty of photos, pictures and updates. She was willing to pickup and and was punctual with drop off. I highly recommend Lilly for dog sitting/boarding”

“Liah is absolutely wonderful!! She went above and beyond every step; not only for Gus, but for us as well. Great communication, sweet picture updates and space to let Gus find his happy place. Will absolutely book with Liah again!”

“Hadley was wonderful with my older pup. She sent photos of their walks together and noted my dogs quirky behaviors. I will definitely use her again if I come back into town.”

“Suzanne was a whole new level of wonderful! She made sure we were comfortable and gave us awesome updates throughout the stay. She took our girl on hikes and walks and made sure she was loved and taken care of. I am pretty sure our pup thought SHE was at the resort! Next time we're in Steamboat Suzanne will be our absolute go-to! :) Thank you so much Suzanne!!”

I have experience watching doggies in my own home and in others home. l live next to great walking trails and a great park for fetch. My doggie would love to keep yours company but she can also be in her kennel if that makes any owners more comfortable.
About: I have experience in all things dog walking, training, crate training, bath time, feeding time, medicine distribution, playtime, socializing, house training, dog birthday parties, and specialized attention. I prioritize dogs health and walkies so I always get up in the cold mornings, feed them on time, take good walks, and take them to the park for socialization. I base my schedule around letting them out and giving them enough playtime to reduce boredom. My house is clear of any hazards and all cleaning supplies are put away. Since it’s not my pet, we will not be going off leash on walks.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I’ve had all types of pets ranging from dogs and cats to horses and reptiles and have 15+ years of experience in pet sitting. I have extensive experience with horses and farm animals as well, through riding, competing, and training horses for most of my life. If you have ANY questions at all about me or my services, feel free to reach out and I would love to get to know you and your furry friend! I work Monday – Thursday at the hospital and have short mid-day lunch breaks, but if you live within 5 minutes of the hospital, I can often make mid-day potty breaks work with my schedule. I work Monday - Thursday at the hospital and have short mid-day lunch breaks, but if you live within 5 minutes of the hospital, I can often make mid-day potty breaks work with my schedule. I am committed to making sure your pet is safe and well cared for in a setting that is familiar to them. If your pet has any special needs or requirements, I am happy to work with you to accommodate them.
About: Having been a dog lover since childhood, I’ve always had dog sitting gigs for a side hustle. I also managed a professional boarding kennel for 5 years where I learned to care for pets of all sizes, personalities and needs. The great outdoors are my life, and I have grown into a passion hunting dogs, and have spent the last 4 years training my Labrador retriever. I have two dogs of my own, West, my four year old trusty hunting black Labrador, and Tilly a nine year old German Shepherd mix. I’m mostly available on weekends (Friday-Sunday), but depending on your dog’s daily needs, I can be flexible. I live in Oak Creek, but work in Steamboat Springs at a very dog friendly environment. I ensure your pet gets the basic care they need, plus extra love, photos, and time outside. I am flexible on whether you want me to stay in your home, or in mine, again depending on the specific pet’s needs and location.
About: * Been taking care of friend's loved one for decades * Ample, daily play-time is provided * Live near Rita Valentine so short or long hikes very accessible * My rules are your rules - whatever is needed to make things seamless for you and your pet so they are comfortable while you are away * I work from home and have a very flexible schedule * I'm able to walk dogs very regularly on whatever schedule they normally have * I live up the street from Yampa Core Trail and right by Rita Valentine so ample options to get them out and exercising * 15-45 minutes hikes are very easy to accommodate * My husband is retired so he is also home. He is a SUCKER for an offered belly so often his choosing to work out or doing any work around the house is ignored in favor of rubbing bellies! * I'm in a very quiet and dog-friendly neighborhood. * I have a nice side-yard but it is not fenced in. Dogs are never let out on their own. * Dogs are allowed on furniture and to sleep in bed - I try to follow whatever is the "norm" for them * I have no problem taking dogs in my car to run errands (if they have separation issues) or to have variety at Spring Creek or other nearby walking areas. * For the senior loved ones: there is an enclosed flight of stairs to get into the house. Carrying pups up stairs is NOT an issue - I had an injured gal who was limping and I just picked her up to make it easier. (50-ish lbs)
About: I grew up with labs, and have pet sit for family and friends for years. I will give your dogs lots of attention, cuddles, and exercise! I currently have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate to most needs! Have plenty of time during the day to walk/let out pets. Can accommodate to longer walks/hikes for large dogs. I will follow instructions based on your individual dog. I am good with leash walking for dogs of all sizes. Let me know what you need!
“Chad was so incredible to our dog. He really let her become part of the family. He gave her delicious food, let her sleep with the family in the bed, took her on plenty of walks, sent a ton of updates. She was in heat and he handled the diapers and her need for love so well. I felt so assured that she was having a really good time, and when we got back to her she wasn’t anxious at all. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on Rover. I can’t recommend him enough. He was super flexible and accommodating and overall, a really good person who gave our girl so much love and comfort.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have been taking care of friends dogs ever since I can remember. In my community I am often the first person called when it comes down to finding a trustworthy pet sitter. In addition, I have spent the last 5 years working with/ and babysitting kids with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. As a full time student I spend a lot of my time doing school work but, like dogs, need to get out and run around. I get to spend my time outside, on walks, runs, and bikes in between classes and on the weekends. I live in an apartment with two other dog loving girls. I am more than happy to share my bed or floor with an interested pup. Although I don't have a yard, I live right across from a big soccer field and have access to the horse gulch trail system behind my apartment (which I frequently use). I am currently working as a plumber for my dad. I tend to have lots of leniency with work and can even bring a pup with me! My house is open to all cats and dogs and that includes the couch haha! I live outside of town in a house where dogs have lots of room to roam and even a pond! In my home the safety of all pets is very important :)

About: I have been caring for cats since early childhood and have a true passion for animals. Pet sitting was my first means of income as a child with my neighbors (and parents) allowing me to care for their animals into my home while also growing up with a number of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and rodents. My love for animals has only grown and for the first time in my life I have no pets of my own. For that reason, Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time where my heart is and surround myself with what I love while also helping others. Look forward to hearing from you!
“I've used Mayra twice now. One time Ally stayed with her and this last time she came by the house a couple times while I was out of town. Best service I've had and will continue to use Mayra when she's available! ”

About: * I "meet" your cat at whatever personality they possess * If they like to be held, petted, and knead on shirts - great! * If they want to chase a laser or fish on a string for hours - we'll do it! * If they prefer some alone time and just want a clean box and nibbles - no problem!
“Allison watched our unconventional pet, a rabbit, for 10 days over the holidays and checked in with us daily on how things went. She did everything we asked and took great care of her and took the time to bond with our bunny. Alison is awesome and we highly recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting. We will certainly request her in the future. Rover is a professional service. We love it.”

“Alaina is a wonderful caretaker of my kittens. She was exceptionally caring and attentive to the needs of my two kittens. She also, kept me informed on a daily basis with photos of the boys and her interactions with them. I'm so happy to have had the exceptional care of Alaina, as she treated my kittens as if they were hers. Alaina will be the first person I reach out to for future care of my little boys.”

“Taylor was awesome with my two cats! She took great care of them, was very communicative and friendly, and sent pictures while I was away. Highly recommended - thank you, Taylor!”

“Liah is amazing! Kona went with her immediately, which tells me she truly has a special connection with dogs. Communication throughout the day was excellent, and she was very flexible with pick-up time. I felt completely at ease knowing Kona was in such good hands. 100% recommended!”

“Elisabeth and Mike were incredible sitters for my 11 year old higher anxiety cattle dog mix pup, Hazel for a week while I was on a work trip to Steamboat Springs. I always struggle leaving her with new people but they very adamantly listened to all the needs I expressed about Hazel's care and as a result make it very easy to trust that I was leaving her in good care. One of my favorite things was that as a dog with separation anxiety, Hazel never had to be alone during doggy daycare! It was clear after the week that she was so loved and well cared for that she didn't want to go home! I'm so grateful for Elisabeth's trustability, reliability, communication, cute pictures, and catering Hazel's experience to her needs over the course of the week. I only wish I lived closer so Hazel could see them more often!”

“Suzanne and her family treated Sophie like one of their own. They were extremely considerate of her special needs as an older dog and I felt safe leaving my gal in their care! We will definitely use them again the next time we’re in Steamboat.”

“"I cannot recommend Mayra enough. She sent us photos and videos of our furry baby, which made our vacation so relaxing because we knew he was in great hands. Mayra was able to confirm our appointment within an hour of us needing someone to take care of our puppy. She was caring, and truly treated our dog like their own. Thank you for the amazing care!"”

“Chad was fantastic! They were super attentive to my pup and stayed in touch with quick updates the whole time. The large fenced-in yard was a huge hit, and I really appreciated how flexible they were with my schedule. It’s such a relief finding a sitter this reliable—we’ll definitely be back!”

“This worked out great! Juanita was available on short notice, and very responsive, and we were able to keep our pup sheltered from the extreme daytime heat while we were camping in Steamboat. Very grateful that we had this last minute solution.”

“Liam did a fantastic job taking care of Bowie. I really like his calm, friendly demeanor which put my pup and me at ease. When I picked Bowie up I could tell he received a good amount of exercise, but wasn’t overstimulated or anxious. Liam was quick to respond to any questions I had and sent me a picture of Bowie during the day just to let me know he was doing well.”

I also play a lot of sports if your dog is anything like my dog I would love to play soccer and basketball with them!
About: Lots of experience with dogs in particular. Always enjoy time with them and I think they enjoy time with me. And our 2 girls are very welcoming and eager to have new friends visit. I work from home so having another mouth or 2 around to feed and a friend or 2 more to play with is never an issue. Yard is not fenced but pets will never be left outside unattended. However, I have a large deck that is fully enclosed so weather permitting the pets are free to enjoy the outside as they wish.

So we will do everything in our power to make them (and you!) as comfortable as possible. - Frequent updates. We love taking pictures of our fun activities and sharing them with you :) - We do not have children however we have a golden retriever, Nacho. - Meet and greets (when available). We both have experience taking care of different breeds, temperaments, and ages of dogs. We have taken care of puppies, high energy dogs, and even elderly dogs. We’ll do an afternoon walk which we might also tie in with a hike or a trip to an empty dog park and we end our day with a night walk before bed. There three walks are the minimum we do, we’re flexible to anything. On weekends we take our pups with us to dog friendly locations. Our schedule revolves heavily on our guests and we do everything we can so they feel comfortable in our home. Our apartment has a big couch which we allow the pups to use. We have a toy box filled with balls, stuffed animals, ropes, kongs, etc. It’s expected that toys get played with so we have constant supervision and discard any broken toy.

I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I’ll remember all the little details—your pet’s name, routine, favorite toy, and how they like their belly rubs! Need help with a vet visit? Got questions? I’m here for you. Can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾💕 I have a very flexible work schedule! That gives me plenty of time to play with your pet and take them on walks. Open to a regularly scheduled walk if interested! I treat every client’s home with respect and care. I make sure the safety and care of your furry family member is my number one priority!
About: I grew up with dogs and cats always in the house, and I have experience caring for all kinds of pets; dogs, cats, rabbits, mice/rats, birds, etc. I also spent 5 years on active duty and will ensure your property stays safe and secure. My current day work allows me time throughout the day to be able to go let dogs out, feed and water, etc. I also have reliable transportation. I do not care for pets in my home, but I am more than happy to travel to you to help care for your loved ones!

About: Located in Steamboat Springs I’ve been caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes my whole life. I have 7 years of professional animal experience from dog and cat grooming to caring for exotic pets such as spiders and reptiles. I have a soft spot for senior pets and those with behavioral problems, but I love to care for pets of all shapes and sizes. I'm available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and am comfortable administering medications if your pet needs. I've cared for pets all my life and can promise to give your furry friends all the love while you're gone! I'm very flexible and can promise quick communication and scheduling! I'm currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule so I can adapt to what times you might need. I also am very quick to respond to any communication you send. I promise to watch your pups attentively and be sure to keep them occupied and take care of any needs they have from walking to medication!
About: I grew up caring for our three family dogs, my horse, and I have experience caring for a variety of livestock in addition to dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with special needs (behavior/giving meds/senior animals) and truly love to be with the animals. I love to train my own dog, Merlin, and I am always excited to work with new animals and build a strong relationship with them! Merlin is well behaved and friendly with all creatures and comes along with me to house sit/will be present if you board with me. This works great for dogs that are gentle with small dogs and enjoy a companion. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of dogs, often with some off leash, so please consider if this will be an ok situation for your dog before booking! I can be home all day (WFH) and live across from a park in addition to the small fenced yard attached to my house. Merlin and I take a long (often off leash) walk every day, if that’s your dog’s jam. I work remotely and full-time, with dedicated windows of 930-12 and 1-3 at my desk. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and can work from anyplace with good wifi and a comfortable chair. I’m very active and love to spend time outside, so I am very happy to exercise your pups. In the past, I’ve had the opportunity to form strong + long lasting relationships with the animals that I’m caring for. I always use gentle, positive reinforcement when working on behaviors with my client’s animals, as well as my own. I really appreciate lots of communication and clear directions/expectations for animal behavior and training needs, and I hope to build long-term relationships with all of my clients.
About: I’ve grown up around almost every type of animal and have even helped my dog deliver her babies! I absolutely treat my animals better than I treat myself and would without a doubt do the same for any other animal too! I have some downtime between jobs at the moment and would love to fill it with some more furry friends! When I am back to work, I can absolutely continue to make pet care work if it’s a good fit. Always make sure they’re fed, played with/walked, and above all loved! I have experience with rowdy puppies and have way too much patience with animals and will always make sure they’re comfortable and safe in any situation.

About: I have experience in all things dog walking, training, crate training, bath time, feeding time, medicine distribution, playtime, socializing, house training, dog birthday parties, and specialized attention. I base my schedule around letting them out and giving them enough playtime to reduce boredom. My house is clear of any hazards and all cleaning supplies are put away.
