“Our dog, Roscoe, had a great stay with Crystal and Michael! Crystal was very communicative and sent photos and videos. I was particularly encouraged because Roscoe has tended to have stress colitis when boarded which caused diarrhea. His stomach was FINE with Crystal which tells me he wasn’t stressed and he seemed genuinely happy. I will definitely book with them in the future.”

“Ollie had a great time! Elizabeth was great to work with and we would highly recommend her. She updated us with pictures throughout the weekend. Will be using her again for sure!”

“Alton & Valerie’s family take tender care of Mimi my tiny chiweenie. I love seeing the kids shower her with attention in the photos sent. Can’t thank them enough for giving me the freedom to go away and not worry. 😊”

“Rooby had so much fun at Haley and Audri’s house! She fit right in with their pets and enjoyed spending time over the weekend with her new friends. Haley kept us updated with their adventures throughout our vacation, and made sure that Rooby was happy and comfy the whole time. We will certainly be rebooking in the future, and highly recommend Haley and Audri for your pet sitting needs!”

About: I've cared for dogs (small to medium size), cats, ducks, fish, chickens and some birds since in my teens. I've looked after friends, family and neighbors pets for feeding, boarding, day care, walking, play, etc… I am an artist, so I am free to be home all day therefore my availability is Monday through Sunday. My hours are flexible and accommodating to your pets needs. I have a house with a tall fenced yard and 3 dogs that are dog and people friendly. Your pets can play with mine or they can be placed in a separate area. During good weather, I leave the back door open so dogs are free to come in and out of the house. All dogs sleep inside the house together or if requested in a separate room.

“Justin is my go-to dog sitter for when I go out of town! He's always willing to watch my dog on short notice, and let me pick her up and drop her off whenever works best for my schedule. I can tell my dog absolutely loves staying with him, as she gets SO Excited when we get there, and always comes home exhausted. It's great that she can play with his family and get all her energy out and be a dog. I never worry about River when I am out of town, so that's a nice feeling! Thanks again Justin for helping me out.”

About: I specialize in reactive, shy, elder, and special-needs pets. My background in shelter care, training, and grooming helps me safely handle animals many sitters cannot. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, personalities, and ages since I was very young, learning dog behavior from my mother, who was a professional dog trainer. In 2017, I started my own dog walking business and built a loyal clientele, and later became a shelter technician at SCRAPS, deepening my experience and empathy for pets of all kinds. I’m trained to give medications orally, topically, ophthalmically, subcutaneously, and in the ear. I’m also a PetSmart-trained dog groomer, so baths if your pup needs extra pampering. Whether your furry friend needs a walk, some cuddles, a game of tug of war, someone to keep them out of trouble, or just a companion to sit with them, I tailor my care to their personality and needs. I focus on making every visit safe and fun, and making your pet feel happy during their stay. Please reach out anytime, any day! I should be able to get back to you same day. I am currently available any day, between 10am-4pm I make sure pets are fed, watered, let out, and any messes cleaned up. I follow all instructions, double-check doors and windows, and spend quality time cuddling, playing, and keeping them happy and safe.
“We were so thankful to find Matt and Shelby!! Our dog had excellent care, lots of playtime, cuddles, and walks. We will not hesitate to bring Ranger back next time. I highly recommend.”

“Mandy did a great job with my dog Harley. He was loved and adored and I got lots of photos to keep me updated how he was doing. He was very happy and calm when I came to pick him up as well. In addition, she was very sensitive to his special needs as a senior dog. I would highly recommend her!”

“Brittany was able to engage with my Tilly in playful ways. Tilly experiences separation anxiety and Brittany was patient with her as Tilly needed time to warm up. I receive lots of photos and feedback on her day. I would definitely use her service again. Additionally, Brittany has a great play yard for dogs. It is fenced and clean.”
“Chantel is amazing!! She was a pleasure to work with from booking Scout’s stay until I picked him up. My schedule changed a couple of times and Chantel graciously adapted to the changes. She took great care of Scout, sending pictures every day he was with her and he was obviously very comfortable and happy. Chantel will always be my choice of sitters in the future. Thank you so much, Chantel!”

“Andy and Jerry were super easy to work with. They were flexible and took great care of Piper while we were gone. They gave us updates and loved on her lots! She came back happy and tired! We will definitely be booking with them again. ❤️”

“I cannot sing enough praise loud enough for Monika! Communication from the beginning has been amazing, to how she expertly handled meet & greet, to how she loves our 140 lb. Rottweiler and sends photos/videos while he is in her trusted care. Let’s just say if 1 million stars was an option I would give her a million stars. Beyond grateful to have found her and I know our big boy Rocky feels the same. Highly recommend.”

“It is s very apparent that Jaimie loves animals. The separate play area she has for the dogs is perfect. Her photos and videos kept me updated on my dogs well being. I have already booked him in for my next trip.”

“Cheyenne was a great choice for Zion! She welcomed Zion into her home like she was a part of the family and even sent her home with a cute bag of treats! Once home, Zion was very relaxed and calm (which isn't common for her after being away from us). Cheyenne was very responsive with communication and sent great pics often. I would 100% book with her again.”

“Shyann treated my doggo with so much love and care! Ten out of ten recommend! She provided regular updates and honestly made me feel like a terrible per dad 😂😅 She goes above and beyond!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Janet is absolutely amazing. Betty was so spoiled during her stay — she went on walks and hikes, and Janet sent daily updates with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. Janet is incredibly kind and easy to communicate with, and from the start it felt like we’d known her forever. We could tell Betty was happy, loved, and well cared for the entire time. I highly recommend Janet and would 100% book with her again”

Rooby had so much fun at Haley and Audri’s house! She fit right in with their pets and enjoyed spending time over the weekend with her new friends. Sarah always takes such good care of our boy Tucker! We dropped him off this time with some doggy ibuprofen in hand since he strained a muscle right before we were supposed to go out of town (classic!). Luckily he healed right up and didn’t favor it or need meds while he was there. Love that she sends picture updates to us as well. Tucker loves going to Sarah’s!

Natalia was amazing! She took care (boarded) my high energy dog and my sweet timid cat during my two week vacation and they both seemed like they had a great time! Natalia is extremely nice, responsive, and sent the best video updates while we were away. You can tell she just truly loves animals! Thank you for the great sit Natalia!

Elisabeth was amazing with my dogs during our Thanksgiving trip! Before I had even made it home from dropping them off, she was sending me pictures and updates and she continued that level of attentiveness over all 11 days she had them. Multiple pics and videos a day showing my 2 fur babies having fun playing with her sweet dogs and wagging their tails happily. She will be our go to sitter for future trips and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and kind person to make their animals feel loved and at home when you are away!

Citlali and Connor did an incredible job watching my dog Athen while I was away for 3 weeks on vacation. Citlali gave updates of their walks, a pup cup adventure and lots of cuddles! Athen was in the best hands, he had such a blast in their care. I cannot recommend Citlali and Connor enough they truly love animals and they spoiled my dog like their own. Next time I leave town I will make sure to ask them if they can watch Athen!

I’m really glad I found Megan on Rover! She took good care of my pet dog, Polly. She was professional, responsible, and kept me informed. I like that she agreed to a meet and greet and that she only takes care of one client’s pet at a time. Polly had fun at her house playing her dog, Ruby. I would recommend Megan, and will definitely book again if I need a sitter in the future. Thank you, Megan! 💚

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
