“Georgia was SO easy to communicate with! She sent photos and videos, was flexible with timing, and quick to respond. She has a great yard and play space and is so clearly a dog-lover and caretaker. Tillie had an amazing time with her and we will definitely be going back!”

“I was very pleased for the care that my Oliver got while I was away.. They sent pics to me to.. It eased my mind that he was well taken care of and looked happy. We will go back again😊”

“We dropped off Ziggy for the weekend after a visit to the vet where we left with four medications, a cone and a bloody paw. Philip didn't flinch. (He was two minutes from where I was visiting my mom, so we could have been there if anything had come up.) We didn't get a lot of updates, but we came back to a dog who seemed happy, and better yet, hadn't been chewing on his paw. Highly recommend.”

“Amanda was great with Sadie on our vacation! It was such a relief knowing she was safe and with a caring family! Amanda communicateed almost daily with me and sent photo updates while we were gone. Sadie got a surprise bath the day before we picked her up! We look forward to using her care in the future! Thank you for everything Amanda!”

“We are repeat customers with Leslie and have been so happy with our experience every time. She takes our dog to the dog park most mornings and she sends pictures and updates.”

“Danielle is fantastic! Her communication and willingness to do a meet and greet ahead of time (even though our dog's stay was only one night) meant the world to me. She sent several photos, which I really appreciated. I knew he was in good hands. Danielle has lots of experience with dogs, and did not flinch when she knew our's was a German Shorthaired Pointer. She had previous experience with the breed and that says a lot. Don't hesitate to book with her and her family. Your furry family member will be treated like one of her own.”

“Katie is fantastic and took wonderful care of our 2 Goldendoodles. They loved heading outside in her fenced backyard and playing with the other dogs. Katie sent a photo or video every day and was patient for our pups to become comfortable. I’d absolutely book another stay with Katie.”

“Carly was so kind and quick to reply to me, including sending photos and updates on his health often. She had all his things collected and ready for me when I came to pick him up. We will be seeing her again someday!”
“We have booked with Heidi numerous times, because our dogs adore her! She is so good with them and takes such good care of them, from my hyper Lab to my senior old lady mutt!”

“Teri was an exceptional dog sitter who made our time away worry-free. Missie clearly had a blast under her care, and we could see how happy and comfortable she was. Teri went above and beyond by keeping us updated with wonderful pictures throughout Missie’s stay, which gave us such peace of mind and let us share in her fun moments. We’re already looking forward to booking with Teri again!”

“Amazing dog sitter! Super reliable, caring, and great with communication. We got regular updates and our pup came home happy and relaxed. It’s clear they truly love what they do. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Mary was absolutely wonderful to book with. She got us in last minute, was very responsive, and gave lots of updates with pictures. She even met us closer for drop off, as she was in the area. Our dogs were in good hands. 10/10 recommend!”

“Jessica and her family were great! I loved the pics and videos she sent keeping me updated while I was away. I missed Murphy but I was so happy to see how much attention and exercise he was getting. I came home to a very tired and happy puppy! Will absolutely rebook:)”

“Excellent experience working with Kate! She took Juniper in for almost two weeks and I felt very comfortable with her. Flynn is adorable and they got along great”

“I’m so grateful to Benita and Kevin (and their adorable dog, Frankie!) for taking such wonderful care of my pup. They went above and beyond, sending photos, providing updates, and showering him with love and attention. Knowing he was in such kind and capable hands made leaving him stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for better sitters! Highly recommend!”

“Tiana did great with our pups! They stayed for three nights and had a blast. Tiana provided lots of pictures, videos, and updates about how the dogs were doing. We felt comfortable with her watching them and would recommend boarding with her!”

“Patricia is truly a 5-Star sitter! We really appreciate the time and attention she invested in getting acquainted with our boxer's particular needs and quirks. She was very positive and great communicating both before and during Rocky's stay. We received daily updates, both stories of his antics, or pic's of him just relaxing with the family. Clearly, they made him feel welcome. At one point during our trip, Patricia even helped us out with a minor emergency house visit. You know you've found a great pet sitter when you see an attachment has formed when you pick up your pet. We will definitely ask Patricia to care for Rocky again. Highly recommend!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we feel so blessed to have found this sweet family to care for our pug. Ashley and Caleb took such great care of Tre while we were on vacation for a week. They were easy to communicate with and sent regular updates and cute photos, which helped put our minds at ease. Tre looked happy and comfortable the whole time. We’re so glad we found them and will definitely book with them again!”

Erika was great communicating with us before booking and answering questions. I’m sure my puppy had a great time with her and her dogs. Erika sent pictures while my puppy was at her house and contacted me with questions. We will definitely use her services again when visiting Post Falls, ID.

Our 11 month old puppy greatly enjoyed his time at Robin’s. Robin did everything she could to include him and make him comfortable, which included a prolonged period without power in the heat of summer. She has 2 dogs and they all got along well, she sent us many pictures and we would definitely ask her to watch our dog again if the need arose. She was easy to communicate with.

Shaunett is reliably the most wonderful person to have in your contacts when you need someone to care for your dog! She's a great communicator - very thorough at drop off to make sure she knows everything she might need to know to care for your pup, and regular with updates along the way. Super responsive, eager to help, and genuinely loves what she does. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you Shaunett!

Boarded my dog for a weekend at their house. Easy location to/from airport from CDA area. Very responsive + accommodating to my last minute booking. Followed my instructions, properly introduced his dog to mine upon arrival, and sent daily photos. Highly recommend, would book again.

Brittney is a professional! My little dog was the smallest their family had ever hosted, and they were perfect for her - reading what was going on and adjusting as needed. Her children were perfectly gentle, too, which is unusual. She's the best dogsitter we've ever had.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
