I highly recommend Stacy and her partner to everyone for doggy day care! My beagle became comfortable at their house very quickly and enjoys the company of their friendly dog Blue 😊. Stacy also sends great updates and photos during the day and has taken Maisie for some beautiful walks. Thanks for treating Maisie so well, we will definitely be back!

About: I have years of experience with horses, dogs, and cats. I have always had pets growing up, from small mutts to large high drive German Shepherds (currently have them!). I have knowledge of most breeds and their traits, which I believe helps you understand the pet itself. I have worked as an equine veterinary technician before for 2 years, which has exposed me to many different types of pets, big and small! I currently am self employed and run my own business. I enjoy going on walks and figured why not get a new buddy to go with me! I love animals and would much prefer hanging out with your cat, or dog than anything else really. I'll alway make time to pet that dog! (or cat, we don't play favorites. But we all know cats decide when they want to be pet. ;) ) I always put safety and comfort first. I follow each pet’s routine so they feel at ease, make sure they have fresh food and water, and keep their space calm and secure. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with love, patience, and attention.

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

During my visit to Coeur 'd Alene, we had some activities planned that were not suitable for dogs. I turned to Rover after reading some troubling reviews on the local pet resorts. And I could not be happier that I went this route! After reading several profiles and reviews, I found Carolyn and she was quick to respond to my last minute request, literally the night before we needed a sitter. After sharing a little information back and forth, she agreed to take our girl Shelby for the day. I can't express enough how very blessed and fortunate I was to have found Carolyn. Upon meeting her, and dropping off Shelby the next morning, I felt an instant connection, and she was gracious in sending me updates and pics throughout the day to provide assurance that Shelby was doing fine! We continued to use Carolyn's services for several more days, and each morning when we arrived, Shelby was excited to see her, and to go play with the other dogs in her care. Carolyn provided a good balance of outdoor play and indoor rest to ensure that the dogs didn't get too overheated. She was incredibly flexible and accommodating with drop off and pickup times as well. I will close with saying that Carolyn is an absolute sweetheart, and that I gained a new friend in Coeur 'd Alene! I look forward to using her services when visiting the area again. She will take care of your pet as if it were her own.

Robin had a great house setup for our puppy to come and play. Her yard.was fully fenced, with two different areas, and her dogs were so kind. My puppy really enjoyed playing with her dogs and using their beds for some serious energy recharging. I would highly recommend Robin to care for your pets, I know we will use her again if we are.in the area.

Absolutely wonderful! We are so thankful for Jessica this week and Fury cannot wait to come back! Exceptional service for our little man, she went above and beyond as he is still learning potty training, walking on the leash, etc. He played hard, got to socialize and meet new friends. We loved our rover cards getting to see what he did for the day! Thank you so much, we really appreciate knowing he is in such good hands!

About: I have experience with dogs of various shapes and sizes—Chihuahua, Shih-tzu, Bull Terrier, Pit bulls, Akita, St. Bernard, Airedaile, to name a few. I also have experience caring for other animals like cats, chickens, ducks, goats, etc. Just show me what you need done and I’ll get it done. I’m here because I absolutely adore animals. I’m a caring and compassionate person and I hope to give fellow pet parents a sense of relief as they look to this community for care and services. I am a responsible person, with a relatively laidback lifestyle. I won’t be out late and I won’t leave your dog alone for long periods of time. I have an extremely close bond with my own dogs and see them as important members of our home. I will treat your pets the same way. I work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible, but to house sit, I will need internet access. In the afternoons I may need to leave for a short period (2-3 hours) to spend time with my family. I like to care for your pet the same way you would. I prefer that your pets feel like it’s just another day. As a pet owner myself, I understand the nerves that come with entrusting your pets to another person. I aim to alleviate that stress and anxiety as much as possible— for you and your pet!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Post Falls

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Post Falls on Rover is $32.1 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 306 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Post Falls. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Post Falls commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 306 sitters in Post Falls, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
