About: I’ve had 2 shihtzus since they were 8 weeks old. Have lost both within the last 2 years at ages 15 and 17. Me and hubby enjoyed them and we miss them terribly. I love strolls around the block and playtime. Serious lap time and undivided attention is awaiting your special fur baby, as I am retired and at home full time. Each year I go to Utah to dog sit for my middle son for 2 weeks while they vacation. They’ve had a Rottweiler, Berniedoodle and Yorkies. The big guys loved TAKING ME on daily walks around their local park. I always took my 2 shihtzus swimming every time we went boating. Perfect day in my opinion!!! I am retired and available most of the time. Short trips to the grocery store or other errands are basically the only time I leave. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room inside and outside. Special diets or medications are not a problem. I liked to wash my dogs faces after mealtimes. They can sleep in my bed, or not. Your preference.

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

About: Always had a dog in the home growing up. Trained puppies and watched all of my neighbors dogs for them. Dogs have always loved me! I am self-employed so my schedule can be as flexible as needed to give your pet the time and attention needed. Morning, midday, and nights I can be available. “First time using app based on local recommendation. Traveling with an extended stay. Had a meet and greet with Jackie before doggie day care to settle my nerves. Warm and friendly and bonded with Ranger immediately. Met her at house next day for drop off and she was very attentive asking questions about allergies and concerns. Felt very comfortable and at ease with leaving Ranger there for a “staycation”. He settled in quickly and Jackie kept me updated with text and pics and how he was doing throughout the day. “We dropped off Ziggy for the weekend after a visit to the vet where we left with four medications, a cone and a bloody paw. Philip didn't flinch. (He was two minutes from where I was visiting my mom, so we could have been there if anything had come up.) We didn't get a lot of updates, but we came back to a dog who seemed happy, and better yet, hadn't been chewing on his paw. Highly recommend.”
