“Our dog recently spent a week with Crystal and her family, where Gus was well cared for, walked regularly, and was able to play with other dogs. Crystal was great to work with and very responsive along the entire way. Thank you!”

“We are delighted to share our glowing review for Jeremy and Raelynn who take care of our dog Arthur when we are away. Their dedication and love for animals are truly commendable, and their attention to detail and commitment to our dog's well-being is exceptional. One of the aspects that truly sets them apart is that they provide regular updates and send lots of pictures. It brings us so much joy to receive these updates and see Arthur having a great time. Their commitment to keeping us informed and involved in Arthur’s activities is awesome. Moreover, we greatly appreciate the effort they put into ensuring our dog's socialization. Arthur gets the opportunity to play and interact with their own dog, Copper, as well as other dogs that they pet sit! Overall, the care and attention that they provide for Arthur is exceptional. We are grateful for their professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for animals. We can confidently say that Arthur is in the best hands when we are away. We highly recommend their services to any pet owner seeking a trustworthy and caring pet-sitting experience.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased. Sophia and her dog, Mickey, were so welcoming to Luca. He stayed with them for ten days and I wasn’t worried for a second that he wasn’t well cared for. I will definitely ask Sophia to watch my puppy again.”

“I was nervous about leaving Callie with someone new, but Monikas experience did not disappoint. She was absolutely amazing with Callie, her dogs were very nice and well behaved, and Monika gave me photo and video updates everyday!”

“Erich is one of the best people who has ever watched our dog Joe for us. We received regular updates and the cutest pics! Thanks so much to Erich and his parents for a great experience!”

“Sven know whines going up to the door at Angela's, knowing they have great toys and lots of attention! He even seems to like -- or at least acknowledge -- Fred, and he's not interested in other dogs, at all. Thanks for giving him so much play time, which is what he craves.”

“Jack clearly felt right at home. It’s reassuring to see pics of your pet having fun and Tiana takes care of him amazingly well. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.”

“Carly was so kind and quick to reply to me, including sending photos and updates on his health often. She had all his things collected and ready for me when I came to pick him up. We will be seeing her again someday!”

“So glad we found Hannah again!! We had to extend our dog’s stay not once, but twice, and Hannah was so gracious and accommodating. Thank you, Hannah!! We appreciate you!”

“Lance is great with dogs and his house is like sending them to summer camp! I'm super grateful he was able to watch Poppy and she got along so well with him really quickly (they cuddled a LOT and she slept with him and his dogs in their bed). Definitely will be going back!”

“Louise did a fantastic job with my Kobi! She saved me with accepting to take care of him last minute, gave great updates and sent pictures! Can’t recommend her enough.”

About: What sets me apart is that your dog won’t just be staying with a sitter, they’ll be joining our family for a few days! As a lifelong dog lover, I understand that every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have a fully fenced backyard for plenty of playtime, fetch sessions, and outdoor fun. Inside, your pup can expect lots of attention, belly rubs, snuggles, and companionship. My two teenage boys absolutely love animals and are always excited to welcome a new furry friend into our home. I currently have both a senior Shih Tzu and an energetic Sheepadoodle, so I’m familiar with different energy levels and personalities. Whether your dog wants to play ball, relax on the couch, or soak up extra cuddles, we’ll make sure they feel right at home. During the week, I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but pet care is a big part of our daily routine. Once I’m home, your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. My two teenage boys are also animal lovers and are excited to make your pup part of their day. It’s not unusual to find a dog curled up next to one of them while they’re watching TV, playing games, or just relaxing. Between our fenced backyard, our two friendly dogs, and lots of family attention, your pet will be treated like one of our own. When your dog stays with us, they’ll be treated like part of the family. I provide plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and opportunities to relax, depending on your dog’s personality and needs. Whether your pup loves to play fetch in our fenced backyard, go for walks, or simply curl up on the couch for snuggles, I’m happy to make them feel comfortable and at home. I understand that every dog is different, so I do my best to follow their usual routine and preferences. If you’d like, I’m also happy to give your dog a bath during their stay. And for anyone wondering—yes, dogs are absolutely allowed on the couch in our house! My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.

“Milo had a great time and was taken care of exactly as his medical needs required. We appreciate the flexibility with his pickup and will certainly return if we need boarding again.”

“Elizabeth is an amazing dog sitter and I consistently book her for my Rita. Super communicative, accommodating, and easy to work with. Plus her pup is fantastic with other dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Irene was a SUPERB host for my Rita and will absolutely be re-booking in the future! Facilitated a smooth meet and greet, welcomed Rita in, and was in clear and consistent communication.”

“Georgia was SO easy to communicate with! She sent photos and videos, was flexible with timing, and quick to respond. She has a great yard and play space and is so clearly a dog-lover and caretaker. Tillie had an amazing time with her and we will definitely be going back!”

“Tori is absolutely amazing! Our dogs are a little needy so we were worried about leaving them for an extended trip but Tori set our minds at ease with the frequent photos, videos, and text updates on them. We are so happy to have found a consistent and reliable sitter and our dogs love her and her family so much. Would defintely recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and loving pet sitter”

“My lab had such a great time with Taylor. He felt at ease as soon as he arrived, got along great with the other dogs, and came home tired and happy. Taylor clearly loves dogs and takes great care of every pup in her charge. I am so glad we found her!”

“We dropped off Ziggy for the weekend after a visit to the vet where we left with four medications, a cone and a bloody paw. Philip didn't flinch. (He was two minutes from where I was visiting my mom, so we could have been there if anything had come up.) We didn't get a lot of updates, but we came back to a dog who seemed happy, and better yet, hadn't been chewing on his paw. Highly recommend.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
