“Another awesome experience with Emily! It's hard to be away from my dog as he is so attached to me but Emily's reliability and obvious love for animals puts my mind at ease. Love the updates & pics!”

“I could not of ask for a better pet sitter, my Leasel fell in love with ,great communication on time, & let's you know ahead of time if things change, she really Loves animals,& they love her,I will use her again.”

“Mika was awesome! She followed all directions perfectly. She gave Milo so much attention! She played with him and he was so happy. I loved her photos! She also offered to pick up our mail! I will definitely call on her again.”

“We rebooked Brooke for a 10-day, three times (1-hour each) per day visit. With 3 large dogs left at home alone it could be like the Xmas movie so we opted to play it safe. She walked them, fed, played, picked up poop, changed water, arranged bedding. Our large German Shepard howls (happy) when he sees her and runs to her for pets and back rubs. We also have a standard poodle that is high energy and Brooke kept her running while hiking and worked on recall. Our lab makes excuses for the other two and commiserates with Brooke at their wanderings. Our heating unit went out and she set up portable heaters and kept watch on the temperature levels until we got back. Highly recommend. She really likes dogs and you know what is said…if my dog doesn’t like you we can’t be friends. You’ll be friends.”

“We adore Danielle! She is an amazing dog sitter. She checks on my 3 girls when I travel for work and my hubs is at work. The dogs love her, she sends me incredible notes and pictures and is super responsive.”

“Scarlett was amazing! She was extremely cordial, prompt, communicative, and got along great with my kitty cat Luna. She sent updates and videos during her visit with Luna, and put my mind at ease while I was away. I could definitely tell Luna was in good hands with Scarlett while I was out of town - she took care of all the feline care duties and administered Luna's medication like a champ. I definitely recommend her!”

About: Howdy! I have had pet experience for 10 years with every animal ranging from tortoises to other reptiles, birds, fish, rodents, cats and dogs! I love them all. I live in an apartment so I don’t get to have the lovings with a pet. Therefore, I’ve got more love to give! I hope you give me the chance! Thank you Hello! I am new to Spokane, originally from Texas! I am an ABA RBT/ CBT part time! When I’m not working with my kiddos I’m with my sister’s dog, snuggling or walking him! I’m fully available on the weekends for walking, drop in visits & house sitting! Weekdays may vary as I have a somewhat rotating schedule with my clients at my job. Message me and we can work something out! Have a blessed day! I care for any pet as if they were my own. I am very gentle and conscious of your time and your schedule as well as your pets schedule. Do not be afraid to communicate with me! I will accommodate every need.
“Taylor is very attentive with my fur babies. They enjoyed playrime and cuddles and are looking forward to the next one! Taylor cleaned up their daytime playpen area too!”

“Marian has now watched our two kitties on two separate occasions. She has done a fantastic job both times! The first time we needed a sitter on short notice and she was available to come to our house the following day for a kitty meet and greet. We invited her back over the holiday because she did such a great job. She sends updates and pictures when she visits and we love knowing our cats are in good hands. Both times we returned home to happy cats and clean litter boxes. We look forward to using her again!”
“It was my first experience using this app. At first I was very nervous and skeptical about leaving my little girl who is less than 10 months old, but honestly, Jordyn was AMAZING. Her dedication, time, and love left me speechless. She always stayed in touch with me at all time, and plus she sent me pictures everyday, which I loved. She played with my little girl and followed the feeding instructions correctly. I would definitely choose her again to take care of pets 💕.”

“Layla was the best! She checked in early and was super flexible when I realized I had put in the wrong dates 🤦♀️ she sent us pictures and updates every day, so we could enjoy our vacation without worrying about our pets. Highly recommend her!”

About: I have had dogs in my home since I was an infant. We currently have a Aussie and a Saint Bernard, as well as several farm animals. I’m a full time mom and office manager but have free time after 5pm and open on weekends. I am willing to help whenever is convenient in the after hours or on weekends. I can simply feed, water and let them out to relieve themselves, or take them on short or long walks. I’m also really good at getting stubborn pups back in their kennels!
“McKenzie took care of my cats for two weeks. She was reliable, sent photos every day, and was thorough in her daily communication. She brought in my mail, played with my cats, fed them treats, and cleaned and changed their litter box. I will book her again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a baby, I’d say my experience in caring for them started at about 5! We had 6 family dogs when I was a child. I love to go on walks and have a furry friend to enjoy them with! Playing fetch and tug-o-war, and watching a movie together has always been my go to when at home. I have given meds in food before as well as ear drops, and eye drops! I am currently working from home, and have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule. My work can be done after pet services have been completed I will be caring for you pet in your home! Please make sure to have things your pet may need or want easily accessible for me! (Leash, toys, treats, food, medications etc.)
“Cathy did a wonderful job taking care of my senior cat on short notice and making sure she got her medication every day on the drop in visits. My cat is usually tentative around strangers but she warmed up to Cathy right away. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.”
About: I bring in 12 years of animal experience overall. I have volunteered for over a year at the Spokane Humane Society, where I gained valuable experience with animals of all kinds and personalities. I am committed to making your pet’s time away from you as calm, comforting, and stress free as possible. Whether it’s playtime, walks, meals, or cuddles, I’ve got it covered and then some! I would love to meet you and your pets! I work full-time as a substitute teacher 8-3:30, which means I am only available for pets who are okay with being left alone for 8 hours. I understand that each pet has their own routine and personality, and I am committed to following your instructions closely to keep them happy, healthy, and stress-free while you're away. I am always willing to go the extra mile whether that means sticking to a detailed schedule, providing extra playtime, or sending photo updates for peace of mind. Your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities, and I will treat them like part of my own family. In my home, I go above and beyond to care for my pets, making sure they feel deeply loved, safe, and valued every single day. From cozy naps and belly rubs to play sessions and special treats, my pets are truly spoiled and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Animals have such short lives, and I believe it’s our responsibility to make every moment joyful and meaningful for them. When your furry friend stays with me, I will treat them with the same level of care and affection I give my own. Whether it’s keeping to their routine, offering comfort during quiet moments, or making time for extra play and cuddles, I will ensure their stay is as relaxing, fun, and stress free as possible while you’re away.
“Katelyn took great care of our pups when we were away at a wedding for the weekend. I was initially worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a sitter who would work well with our older dog, who is quite anxious and reactive, but he took very well to her during the meet-and-greet and they got along great! She also put us at ease with regular detailed reports along with photos and videos to let us know our babies were safe and happy. I would definitely recommend Katelyn for pet sitting, and have already re-booked her for our next trip out of town.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mead
Taylor has been so flexible on this visit. My cat had a medical problem just as I was leaving on a trip. This required numerous changes to the schedule, as he was in emergency care for a time. Then when he came back home, he needed to take new medications at different times than originally planned. Taylor adjusted the schedule to the new requirements, and administered the different meds that he required. So glad that Taylor is there to help however is needed!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
