“Danielle was amazing!! I received photos every visit while traveling for work, a much needed pick me up on work trips. Danielle watched my husky, Great Dane, and 4 month old mixed breed puppy recently adopted from the Humane society and a little skittish but she took to Danielle quickly. I am glad to have found a good dog sitter for my work trips. Highly recommend!!”

“WHERE TO BEGIN… This was my partner and I’s first time ever leaving our fur baby with someone and I don’t think we could have found a more perfect person. Mika from the beginning was trustworthy, understanding and naturally wonderful around our kitty. Her communication and photographs far exceeded our expectations and we cannot thank her enough for how well she took care of our baby while we were gone. We left details instructions and Mika followed them all effortlessly. To anyone on the fence about the who to go with as far as trusting your fur baby, look no further. Mika is the person for you. If/when we need someone to watch our cat again, we will 100% book with Mika. Exceptional care, 10/10.”

About: We have dogs, snakes, and a bunny. We have kept exotic pets for the past 10 years and love caring for all animals! Even the grouchy ones 😊 Our dogs eat at 12:30 and at 6:30 each day with frequent trips outside. They are friendly and we keep them trained to eat only out of their own bowls. Pet care is daily life in our home (with my spouse) and we both take pride in our relationships with animals I will frequently check for assent amongst pets to ensure safety and wellbeing. If animals need to be separated, we live in our finished basement and work upstairs, making it easy to both separate and engage with all the animals frequently. Any instructions will be religiously followed. I am getting my masters in behavior analysis so I am ALWAYS aware of the dynamics of our animals and animal guests!
“Elizabeth is a gem! We had a last minute emergency and she helped us with our dogs like she was family. We have used her services in the past and will no doubt boom with her every time!”

About: I have experience pet sitting for family friends and neighbors while they were out of town. I’ve cared for pets by making sure they were fed, had fresh water, received plenty of attention, and stayed comfortable and happy in their own home. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I also have a cat of my own and have grown up around both cats and dogs, as well as other animals like bunnies, which has given me a strong comfort level and understanding of different pet personalities and needs. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I always treat them with the same care and attention I would want for my own. I’m currently working full-time, so I can play with your pets in the mornings, or evenings! And if I need to drop by on my breaks during lunch, I can. I have plenty of time on the weekends to take care of them too! When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make safety, comfort, and trust my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can feel secure and cared for. I always follow their normal routines, pay attention to their individual needs and behaviors, and make sure they have fresh water, food, exercise, and plenty of love and attention. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions carefully. My goal is to give every pet the same patience, care, and attention I would want for my own.
About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have six pets of my own, three of whom are rescues, and over the years I’ve cared for everything from dogs and cats to horses, ducks, alpacas, and more. I’ve taken in numerous stray and unwanted animals over the years, giving them a safe, loving home and, in several cases, caring for them through the end of their lives. Because of this, I’m very comfortable with senior animals and pets who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals with medical needs, including diabetes, chronic inflammatory bladder conditions, and a spinal injury following a car accident. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering oral medications and injections, managing prescription diets, and keeping a close eye on changes in an animal’s behavior or wellbeing. Most importantly, I truly love animals. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your animals with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. I work a regular weekday schedule, but I’m available for pet care in the late afternoons and early evenings during the week, with much more flexibility Fridays through Sundays. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, medications, and plenty of attention while you’re away. I only provide care in your home, so your pets can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment and routine. I care for pets exclusively in their own home, where they’re most comfortable. I understand that every animal has a different personality, routine, and set of needs, and I’ll follow your instructions closely — including feeding schedules, walks, medications, prescription diets, and any special care requirements. I’m comfortable with senior pets, rescues, shy or anxious animals, and pets with medical needs. I have experience administering oral medications and injections and caring for animals requiring more involved daily care. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to give my own.

About: I have had dogs in my home since I was an infant. We currently have a Aussie and a Saint Bernard, as well as several farm animals. I’m a full time mom and office manager but have free time after 5pm and open on weekends. I am willing to help whenever is convenient in the after hours or on weekends. I can simply feed, water and let them out to relieve themselves, or take them on short or long walks. I’m also really good at getting stubborn pups back in their kennels!
“Krissy was amazing and took excellent care of Toby. He’s very low maintenance, but she still made sure he got the exercise he needed and was very thoughtful and would always update me on how he was doing. I also love the pictures would definitely recommend this sitter and would love to have her back when we need a pet sitter for Toby again!!”

About: I got my first dog when I was 18, a large lab named Bogey, and I immediately took on full responsibility for his care and training. From that point on, I managed his daily needs, structure, and behavior while also navigating college life. That experience taught me consistency, patience, and how to stay attuned to an animal’s cues, energy, and emotional needs in a real-world, hands-on way. Growing up, I also had a cat, which helped shape my comfort and understanding of different animal temperaments and communication styles. I’ve always loved cats and still hope to have one again in the future, but I’m waiting for the right time. In the meantime, not having a cat of my own actually allows me to fully enjoy time with other people’s pets and be more present with them. I’m very comfortable caring for animals of different sizes and personalities, especially big dogs, and I naturally take on a calm, attentive, and responsible role in their care. I also find that my ability to stay grounded, patient, and observant translates well into understanding both animal behavior and human behavior. I’m highly attuned to animals’ needs and take pride in creating a safe, stable, and caring environment for them I work full time from 7:30am–3:30pm, with flexibility before and after work to give pets attention, care, and consistency throughout the evening. I already build daily walks into my routine and would genuinely love having a dog join me, since it fits naturally into my lifestyle. Outside of work hours, I’m very present and attentive, and weekends are fully open, which allows for extended time, activity, and stability in care. I also have prior experience watching dogs for neighbors, family, and friends, and I’m comfortable with all breeds and sizes. I’m confident in my ability to adjust to each animal’s needs and provide consistent, reliable care. I’m comfortable caring for pets in either my home or a client’s home depending on what best meets the pet’s needs. I am comfortable housing a cat in my home, as it is a safe and stable environment for them. However, I would be cautious about boarding a dog in my home at this time due to my fence needing repairs. For dogs, I am fully open to staying in the client’s home or visiting consistently throughout the day to ensure reliable care, routine, and attention. I prioritize maintaining the pet’s normal environment and schedule, and I am flexible in adjusting my care approach to provide consistency, exercise, feeding, and companionship as needed.

About: As a pet owner and animal lover of many years, I know that your whole world can revolve around your furry friends. I have experience owning and caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, from energetic puppies and kittens, to older cats and dogs who may need some extra TLC (medications, more frequent visits, etc.). I also have experience with a range of breeds, from chihuahuas to Rottweilers and pitbulls. Whether your pet is a cat or dog, rescue or purebred, mellow or high-energy, I am here to make sure your beloved baby is well taken care of! I am a student and have very open availability! I am most available in the mornings and evenings, but can work with you to make sure your pet gets the care they need, when they need it. Please reach out with any questions! I see my pets as family, and I know yours are just as important to you. My goal is to make every pet I care for feel safe, relaxed, and loved, whether that means getting out for a walk or settling in for a cuddly nap.

Karen was seriously the perfect sitter. She's very reliable, conscientious, cat-approved. She sent us photos and notes with every visit. I really appreciated knowing our two kitties were in good hands. She handled their feeding peculiarities with ease, kept letter boxes clean, brought in packages/mail, and left it all in tip top shape. Highly recommended!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
