“Hands down one of the best dog sitters we’ve ever had. Very flexible and able to accommodate us most of the time even if it’s a last minute booking. Definitely 100% recommend her :)”

“Danielle was amazing!! I received photos every visit while traveling for work, a much needed pick me up on work trips. Danielle watched my husky, Great Dane, and 4 month old mixed breed puppy recently adopted from the Humane society and a little skittish but she took to Danielle quickly. I am glad to have found a good dog sitter for my work trips. Highly recommend!!”

“Jess is the best the world has to offer for cat sitters. Obviously, she showed up for the meet and greet and for every visit on time. But she has the heart to love the cats even when they are elusive and shy (as mine are). She cleaned all the dishes, all the cat barf, the cat boxes, and made sure water bowls were filled and clean. You won't find better. THANK YOU, JESS!”

“Ven is a great sitter! I was really nervous about leaving my cat with a sitter because she is a bit shy and needed daily medication, but Ven did so amazing with her. They stayed in communication with me and didn’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I would absolutely recommend Ven to anyone looking for care for their pets!”

“Mylo was amazing!!! She sent daily updates and pics of all pups. The pups seemed taken care of and happy. She also gave them their daily meds. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve worked & volunteer at shelters for about 5 years and have experience working with different types of dogs such as reactive, fearful, shy and friendly; as well of many different breeds. I was crossed trained as a veterinary assistant and have given medication before. I’ve earn my CCTBS (Certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist) with the Animal Behavior Institute and I’m in my last quarter to compete my Advanced Canine Certification as well as my Feline Certification. I offer both Dog & Cat training services! I do have a full time job that is in the evening however this gives me ample time to provide quality care such as play time and long walks in the morning and checking on them late at night for one last potty break and ensuring everything is locked up so your pet is safe & sound. If you leave detailed instructions, I will follow them to a T. I can also provide photos frequently to show your pet having fun and relaxing at home safely. If a concern arises, I will immediately notify you no matter how small. You can always reach out about anything and everything, I love communicating and would want the same if someone was caring for my animals.

“Julia was responsive with messages and on time with each visit. I enjoyed viewing my dogs report card each day along with many pics. I will be requesting Julia for future services.”

“Jordyn did such a great job with our pups! Her booking was our first experience with Rover, and it was absolutely flawless! Great communication while we were out of town and great care for our dogs, I would highly recommend her!”

“Nicole is the absolute best! You will not find a better sitter for your pets! I’ve used her services for over six months weekly. She is highly flexible and my very anxious dogs just love her! She was always on time with a very time sensitive medication.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs ever since I was 10 and I absolutely love walking dogs with my son he loves them so much! Your fur babies safety is a big priority for me so I will fallow all your rules and requirements to a T. I’m a very organized person so if you have a list of needs I’ll make sure to do it all.
“Averi is dependable and so good with our pets. She was able to give medication during this last visit which was so important. We are thrilled with Averi and so grateful to have her as our preferred per sitter!”

“Kelly is fantastic! She’s a clear communicator and our cats connected with her quickly, which was so fun and a bit rare. She clearly has a special way with animals and I hope to work with her again!”

About: From human babies to cats, bearded dragons and beyond, I'm excited to meet you and your pet! I've always loved animals, especially dogs, cats, and reptiles. Caring for your furry (and not so furry!) loved ones brings me lots of joy and is how I wish I could spend every day. I love taking relaxing walks and playing fetch, or playing in your fenced yard enjoying the warm weather. I can administer pills and monitor health conditions, and can provide physical assistance for small dogs and cats with mobility issues, like getting up and down furniture. I'm open and eager to learn administering other medication types if you are comfortable teaching! Anxious and shy pets warm to me easily, and so do senior dogs and cats! I have open availability during the summer months as I work for the school district. I want to spend my time loving and caring for your pet/s, so please let me know what your needs are and I'll do everything I can to make it work! After summer, I work part-time during the day, so I can stop by mid-morning to let dogs out to potty and play, and my evenings/weekends are open. I want to be best friends with your pet, so knowing their favorite treats and keeping their routine consistent is important to me. I promise to care for your baby like my own.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dishman
Megan did an excellent job of taking care of our kitty Juniper. She hasn’t been left alone since we adopted her and we were a little worried about it but Megan updated us every visit and was very accommodating with all of our requests. Our house was the same as we left it and Junebug is as healthy and happy as ever! We will definitely use her again next time.

Hannah is fantastic! She did home visits for my 2 cats and it was apparent at the meet and greet that she understands cats, getting down on their level. Her communication is first rate and I received multiple photos from each visit. She let me know when one cat appeared to have a runny eye just as a precaution. I've had cat sitters who choose not to clean litter boxes but I couldn't have done a better job than Hannah did. She's dependable and did a great job. I will be booking her again and recommending her to everyone I know!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dishman. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
