About: I've taken care of dogs and cats, including my own, for as long as I can remember. I have trained my pets as well as other's in basic obedience. I like to study dog psychology and I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I've taken care of all kinds of dogs from tiny-huge and fearful-calm temperaments. My favorite breeds to care for are large breeds, most specifically breeds like pitties, mastiffs, and dobermans, but I love all dog breeds too and love how every dog has their own unique personality. I've also cared for cats doing volunteer work and have 2 of my own. I'm currently available anytime of the week all year besides the few times per year that I travel. I am working to potentially have a career with dogs. For care in the client's home, I will do whatever is instructed to me to be done for the pet. I am good at reading dog body language and understanding their needs. I've cared for fearful/avoidant dogs and hyper/clingy dogs alike. I am not able to provide care in my own home since I live with family and own 2 rescue cats.
“Nicole is very punctual, dependable and loving towards our dogs. Very good at following directions. I look forward to a contit relationship when I return in April. My dogs sit by the door and wait for her everyday.”

About: I’ve had dogs around me my whole life; from active labs to precocious cocker spaniels to mutts with needs, I’m happy to provide the care your pets need while you’re away. I’m flexible with all play styles and feeding habits, all while staying firm against begging for food we can’t have and keeping a close eye on problem behaviors such as digging or pillow ripping. I love all kinds of dogs, from hyperactive to couch potatoes, malamutes to chihuahuas, puppies to senior dogs. I’ll be sure to keep your fluffy friends entertained and well kept while you’re away! As for walking, I always strive to make sure your four legged friend has their share of exercise and fresh air. My time is currently open to weekdays from 6 am to 11 pm. I’m happy to check on your pets multiple times a day to keep up with their schedules, and am happy to follow plans as needed. I do my best to follow any instructions provided for your pet. I’m happy to play, take pets outside into yards or for walks in the neighborhood to get their energy out, feed them on their schedules, and visit multiple times a day to keep your pet happy and entertained. I have a preference for crate trained dogs, but for those more well-behaved, I have no qualms. As for cats, I’m happy to keep quiet and leave them to their own pace, letting myself be available to them while not invading their space.
“Vanessa is great, this is the second time she has been available at the last minute to help with our dog. I injured my knee and couldn’t walk her so I was super grateful that Vanessa was able to help!”

About: I’ve loved animals since I was a little girl, when my family rescued a pregnant dog, and we raised her puppies together. I have a lot of experience with cats, especially seniors who need extra love or medicine. While I enjoy dogs of all ages, I specialize in small to medium breeds. I’m a patient sitter who focuses on building trust. My husband often joins me on our pet-sitting adventures! He absolutely loves dogs, and they always have a blast playing with him. This means your pet gets double the love, attention, and playtime during our visits. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are our top priorities! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available for midday walks and check-ins both on weekdays and weekends. I can easily stick to your pet’s usual routine to make sure they get plenty of attention and potty breaks while you’re away. I live right by the Centennial Trail, which is perfect for safe and scenic walks! I always keep dogs on a leash and stay very alert to our surroundings. Since I don't host pets at my place, I’m happy to come to your neighborhood for our adventures. I’ll also send you plenty of cute photo updates so you know exactly how much fun your furry friend is having!
“Melisa was kind and professional! My dog is often timid and had refused to go out for a walk when I am gone before but Melissa handled it like a champ, was patient and kind, and was able to coax him out of the house. Thank you Melissa!”
“Leah is absolutely amazing! She is such a sweetheart and loves animals. I feel so comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She is able to recognize and cater to his every need. Definitely will continue to book with her!”
“Joseph was wonderful! We gave him our rundown of our routine with Archie and he was very receptive and understanding. Joseph is knowledgable and great with our dog. We definitely recommend Joseph to anyone looking for a reliable companion for their pet needs!”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable animal lover who understands that every pet has their own unique personality and comfort level. Whether your pet is energetic and ready for an adventure or prefers a slower, quieter approach, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe and cared for. I’ve loved dogs my entire life, growing up in a family with dogs and spending about a year volunteering at my local humane society walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Today, I also share my home with two cats, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and understand their different needs and behaviors. Building trust is one of the most important parts of pet care. I know that not every animal is immediately comfortable with someone new, and I’m happy to let them set the pace. I never force interactions or push boundaries. Instead, I focus on creating positive experiences so your pet feels secure while you’re away. Safety is always my top priority. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed at all times and stay alert to our surroundings to help ensure every outing is safe and enjoyable. I’ll treat your pet with the same care, patience, and attention I’d want for my own animals. Whether you need a midday walk, a potty break, playtime, fresh food and water, medication reminders (if applicable), or just someone to spend quality time with your pet while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I work full time from home, but my job allows for a lot of flexibility during the day, evenings and weekends. My only immovable commitment right now is coaching softball Monday and Wednesday evenings over the summer, and the occasional work meeting that I will plan around ☺️ Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being will always come first. I strive to create a calm, low-stress environment where pets feel secure and respected. I believe trust is earned through patience, consistency, and kindness, so I always let animals set the pace and never force interactions. Whether we’re out on a walk or spending time together during a visit, you can count on me to provide attentive, safety-focused care while treating your pet like one of my own.
“Milo has been amazing since day one with my puppy, Jett. She is always reliable and consistently communicates if there is ever anything concerning during her visits or if she is unable to make a scheduled time.”

About: I’ve pet sat for five animals at once, including both dogs and cats! I have experience with animals ranging from puppy to senior! I’ve owned dogs of all different sizes including wiener dogs and newfoundlands! I also have two cats! I’m super flexible and a quick learner who can easily adapt to the needs of your pets! I’m currently working a separate job and volunteering twice a week but both are part time so I have plenty of extra time to spend with animals and have a very flexible schedule! I consider myself to be very likable to animals and have a positive demeanor which animals tend find comforting! I have experience walking both big and small dogs and caring for cats as well! I also have experience housesitting and am happy to water your plants and bring in your mail!

About: My wife, Audri, and I are lifelong animal lovers with experience caring for a wide variety of pets. Audri grew up with Huskies, Malamutes, cats, rabbits, and birds, while I grew up with countless dogs and cats, as well as goats and even a pet rat. Animals have always been a central part of our lives, and our long-term dream is to have enough land to rescue and care for even more of them. As pet owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets and home. We regularly use pet and house sitters and know the peace of mind that comes from receiving updates while you're away. When your pets are in our care, you can expect dependable communication, regular updates, and plenty of photos. Our current furry family includes three cats, two rabbits, and two spunky Pomskies. We believe pets are family and take pride in providing attentive, loving care tailored to each animal's needs. From energetic dogs to shy cats and small animals, we're comfortable caring for a variety of personalities and routines. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! I (Haley) primarily do the pet-sitting and Audri helps out when she is around. I am around full time to provide care for your animals. We have a handful of critters at home that also require my attention so best case scenario, your pups get along with ours so we can all hang out. When caring for your pets in your home, we will treat both your animals and your space with the same respect and attention that we give our own. We're a "shoes off at the door" kind of family, and we believe that the little details matter—from keeping food and water areas clean to paying close attention to your pet's behavior, appetite, energy level, and bathroom habits. As pet owners ourselves, we know that changes in routine can sometimes be the first sign that something isn't quite right. If we notice anything unusual, we'll communicate with you promptly so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My wife, Audri, is a nurse and is experienced in administering medications and caring for pets with special health needs. Whether your pet requires medication, extra patience, or a customized routine, we're committed to following your instructions carefully and providing attentive, compassionate care. Our goal is simple: to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved, while you feel confident knowing they're in good hands.
“Friendly, professional, communicative, and prompt! My pup was happy and I enjoyed the report cards. Will definitely be booking with Julia next time I work late”

About: I have been pet-sitting since I was in early high school and I was beyond thrilled every time my friends, neighbors, or family would entrust me with caring for their furry family member. With my lifetime of experience, ranging from puppies to elderly dogs, I can guarantee that your dog will be cared for with the love and diligence they deserve! Emily was pleasant, kind, and on time for the meet-and-greet. She completed both walks as planned and on time, and she sent pictures of each walk. I felt comfortable giving her the key to my house. I would highly recommend Emily and will definitely use her services in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
