About: Hi! I have been an animal lover and owner my whole life. I currently have a senior lab-chow mix (13), so I understand the extra love the older pups need! I have experience dealing with behavioral dogs, administering medicine, and training puppies! Whatever your animal may need, I am happy to do. While I work full-time, my work is fairly flexible. Leaving your pet is stressful, so I am happy to adjust my schedule where I can to help give you peace of mind. You know your dog better than I ever could! When doing drop in visits, I will make sure your dog is comfortable with me and my presence. I will make sure they get the love they deserve while you are away!
“Valarie is a fantastic caretaker to your pet in any capacity. Rest assured if your a pet owner you will admire the expertise Valerie brings to your dog. Please take this message as a ticket for any pet owner to utilize when there away from their pets.”

“Good communication & transparency with activity details and on time. We were skeptical about having a stranger into the house but Amanda made everything smooth and my dog was content after the service. Would strongly recommend.”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats, including my own, for as long as I can remember. I have trained my pets as well as other's in basic obedience. I like to study dog psychology and I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I've taken care of all kinds of dogs from tiny-huge and fearful-calm temperaments. My favorite breeds to care for are large breeds, most specifically breeds like pitties, mastiffs, and dobermans, but I love all dog breeds too and love how every dog has their own unique personality. I've also cared for cats doing volunteer work and have 2 of my own. I'm currently available anytime of the week all year besides the few times per year that I travel. I am working to potentially have a career with dogs. For care in the client's home, I will do whatever is instructed to me to be done for the pet. I am good at reading dog body language and understanding their needs. I've cared for fearful/avoidant dogs and hyper/clingy dogs alike. I am not able to provide care in my own home since I live with family and own 2 rescue cats.

“Two weeks so far with Jalai and our Remi has been enjoying her walks and time with her. She gives us detailed walk reports and we love the pictures she sends us of our girl. Highly recommend Jalai, as we will continue to go to her :)”

About: I have helped raised puppies from new born until they were ready to be sent off, I am experienced with dogs with short snouts aswell as I know they have their troubles, I love all kinds of dogs (senior dogs, hyper dogs, impulsive dogs, vocal dogs, biters), I will strictly enforce parents rules. I am free all the time and I work my personal adventures around what I have planned. Only reason I wouldn't book is if I had something previously planned. I have one little friendly baby named scrappy doo that loves to play with others. I will make sure your baby is always comfortable and happy. I will keep routine and enforce parent rules. Most importantly I will make sure your baby is loved as much as possible.

“Adam truly puts our minds at ease. Our old English Sheep dog (who can be pretty temperamental by nature) has taken right to him. Adam is clearly patient, very reliable, and seems to have to genuinely enjoy our pet.”

About: Friends and family call me the animal whisperer. Ive grown up around many different pets and cared for animals from cats and dogs to lizards and hamsters, young and old. I work remotely and create my own schedule. This allows me the freedom to attend to your animals whenever needed, any day of the week. Through my time as a firefighter it is second nature to respect the people I serve and the homes I enter. Your pets will be shown nothing but love and support for any of their needs.
About: I grew up with a golden retriever for almost 10 years and learned all of the responsibilities of walking, washing, loving, and playing with dogs and I had a 3 1/2 year old cat whom I learned to care for on my own as well for the past 3 years. I also have experience pet/house sitting and just dropping in on friends dogs or cats as a teenager. I'm currently working full time but I work remotely so it you need a house sitter, I can work from there and take breaks to play, let dog out, feed, etc. I only work Mon to Fri so can easily house sit on the weekend at any time. If you only need a dog walker, I am available after 5pm during weekdays but am available anytime on Sat and/or Sunday. I care for your dog and/or cat while house sitting by walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with them. I have a car that I can bring them to a vet, if needed.
About: I have had dogs since I was 10 years old when I began showing them in agility through 4-H. I have had several foster dogs over the years including those with severe anxiety, one that only spoke Russian, and one that had to wear a diaper. I have two personal dogs who are wonderful adventure companions for my boys and I. I am a special education teacher. I am fully available during weekends, summer, and holidays. During work days I work from 8:00 - 4:00. I can run home for a potty break once during my scheduled work day as needed. I have a large fenced yard with a doggy door system both to the heated garage and outside. I have a separate cat room built off of my garage. It has heat and air conditioning with a large window. This spring a catio will be a wonderful addition to the totally secure space. My home is warm and inviting. I have two lovely children (9 and 11) who adore animals as much as their mother!

About: I started my first dog walking business in elementary school walking neighborhood dogs! I have owned dogs my entire life, taking them on regular walks. Owning a reactive dog now has made me even more patient! I have attended various dog training sessions with my reactive dog and learned more about managing dog behaviors. I’m a teacher on summer break looking for a little extra money! I’m free all week long to help get those pups some extra exercise and fun! I own 2 dogs and we have a fenced yard. Our dogs are kennel trained but roam the house freely all day and night. I have attended dog training sessions in the past to support my reactive rescue dog.

My boyfriend and I love caring for dogs and cats of all breeds and personalities, and we treat every pet like family. We always follow your specific routines and preferences, whether that means furniture rules, feeding schedules, or special care needs. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets.
About: From human babies to cats, bearded dragons and beyond, I'm excited to meet you and your pet! I've always loved animals, especially dogs, cats, and reptiles. Caring for your furry (and not so furry!) loved ones brings me lots of joy and is how I wish I could spend every day. I love taking relaxing walks and playing fetch, or playing in your fenced yard enjoying the warm weather. I can administer pills and monitor health conditions, and can provide physical assistance for small dogs and cats with mobility issues, like getting up and down furniture. I'm open and eager to learn administering other medication types if you are comfortable teaching! Anxious and shy pets warm to me easily, and so do senior dogs and cats! I have open availability during the summer months as I work for the school district. I want to spend my time loving and caring for your pet/s, so please let me know what your needs are and I'll do everything I can to make it work! After summer, I work part-time during the day, so I can stop by mid-morning to let dogs out to potty and play, and my evenings/weekends are open. “Genevieve was THE BOMB watching our pup. She took lots of pictures, and clearly gave him all the love and attention he needed. She even took him home one day to play with her pups, which she of course did not have to do. Puck had a great time with her, and we would love to have her watch him again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
