About: I have grown up and lived with cats since I was 5 years old! They are also my favorite animals and have a lot of knowledge about how to meet their needs, temperament, and of course, giving them love and care. From childhood through present day I have had lots of experience with taking great care of kitties throughout their lifespan, including kitten care (litter training, claw trimming) and senior cat care (giving medicine, cleaning/grooming). I've taken care of all types of dogs including german shepherds and high energy breeds, and have fostered several pups destined for service. I have two cats of my own. I even feed and muck stalls for horses or other barn animals. Pls inquire re those rates. I am retired and take care of my hobby farm near Liberty Lake. I am very experienced with pets and they get a lot of attention and companionship from me. I can walk dogs or play with ball for exercise. I sit or play with cats depending on their personality. I know not to let them chew on things they shouldn't chew on. I know not to let the eat things off the ground. I know to let them warm up to you first so they aren't scared of you or aggressive to you. I like to study dog psychology and I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I've taken care of all kinds of dogs from tiny-huge and fearful-calm temperaments. My favorite breeds to care for are large breeds, most specifically breeds like pitties, mastiffs, and dobermans, but I love all dog breeds too and love how every dog has their own unique personality. “Lindsey, Leland, and their kids took amazing care of our 13-year-old Golden Retriever, Callie. She had injured her back leg about a month before her stay, and they were incredibly thoughtful in managing her needs. They made sure she got all her medications and adjusted her walks based on what she could handle. I’m pretty sure Callie felt like she was at a spa—between the gentle attention, extra brushing, and love from their three wonderful kids, she was clearly in great hands. I accidentally mixed up the pickup date by a day, but Lindsey and Leland were incredibly accommodating and kept Callie that extra day without hesitation. I was so relieved, knowing she wouldn’t have to be shuffled to a different home just for one night. Throughout her stay, they regularly updated us with photos—Callie lounging in the grass, out on a walk, or happily curled up in someone’s lap. The peace of mind they gave us was priceless. If I could give Lindsey and Leland six stars, or more, I absolutely would. They went above and beyond in every way.”
