“Our fur babies love Danielle. We have a cranky old large dog that isn’t the easiest to work with and she handled him and our other pets wonderfully. We got a report and pics after every check in. Her care was much appreciated.”

“Jordyn was great to work with, and our kitties, who often need some time to warm up to new people, seemed to like her from the first visit. We will not hesitate to have her take care of our kitties again when we're gone. She kept us well informed and really went above and beyond in taking care of everything we asked. She was Awesome!”

“Willow is someone I trust with my fur babies. She is reliable and also makes good decisions about dealing with some of my young dog's issues. She is also very pleasant and good at communicating.”

“Maddie did so great with my cat. She played with him, gave him his daily treats, kept tabs on his food, water, and litter, cuddled with him, and even had to take a plant away from him. I would absolutely rebook with her in the future.”

“Abigail has excellent response in communication from setting up a meet and greet throughout taken care of my Billi. She followed the instructions and sent me photos of a happy playful kitty. I definitely recommend her and will ask her to watch Billi again.”

“Carrie was so in tune with Simba’s needs the whole trip and so communicative. Easily one of the best sitters we’ve booked with. Simba needs an inhaler and has some unique quirks and Carrie handled it like a champ. She even left a welcome home card with a magnet of Simba’s face on it, which was so thoughtful!”

“Allison is a wonderful and caring pet sitter! I’m so glad I found her on Rover to look after my cat Reggie while I was gonna for a few days. Reggie warmed up to her right away from the first meet-n-greet and enjoyed her visits playing and getting some snuggles in. Allison is very responsive and checks in each visit. I will definitely be using Allison again!”

“Ashton and Shelby are responsible, caring and conscientious. They are great at communicating, and showed flexibility when I had a need for an extra visit. Knowing that they were truly caring for my animals helped me have the peace of mind needed to relax and enjoy my trip. I highly recommend them and will not hesitate to hire them again. My cats, rabbits, fish and plants were all well-looked after and I really enjoyed all the photos and updates!”

“Shontaeia was amazing!! My two Newfoundlands took to her right away and didn’t mind when I left at all! It was a great peace of mind to have Tay there to keep an eye on my pet babies. Thank you so much Shontaeia! We will definitely book with you again!!”

“Jennifer is reliable and makes sure our cats are fed and played with every time she visits. We plan to continue to book her whenever we need help! Thanks Jennifer! (I am a Rover employee)”

“Sarah was great! She not only took care of my dog, she also did a few extra things. My dog needed medication for a UTI right before I left town and she didn’t hesitate to give it to her for me while I was gone. She had good communication on how things were going. I would recommend her!”

About: I’ve always loved animals of all sorts and have grown up taking care of my family’s pets and friend’s pets. I have 5+ years of experience working in the veterinary medicine field as an assistant and receptionist, continuing to gain knowledge and new skills. I have the knowledge to care for various types of pets, from dogs and cats to pocket pets to large animal. I’m proficient at handling various needs of your pets, such as medication administration and speciality care with different diets. I have experience caring for young and senior pets! I currently work full time at a local veterinary hospital but am flexible around my work day. I’m available for drop in visits and walks around my work day and overnight stays at your home. I stick to your pets routines as much as possible while caring for them in your home. Paying extra attention to them while we’re outside, such as checking the pavement if it’s too hot while on walks, or staying out with your pet while in your yard. Safety and the well being of your pet(s) is my priority.
About: Having always grown up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs and more, I've been pet-sitting for family friends and neighbors since middle school. I have experience with dogs of all ages, giving medication and special care when needed, and volunteer time at Birmingham Humane Society. I'm a true animal lover who hopes to make your loved one as happy and comfortable as possible! I'm currently a full-time graduate student at WSU and am flexible when working around a set class schedule. I often have open days and larger gaps between classes. Although I cannot host animals, I am comfortable meeting a pet in their home enviornment, respecting any personal rules or pet safety preferences to ensure they are happy and comfortable.
“They have been great at keeping in touch and sending lots of pictures during the visit. Could not be more impressed and satisfied with the level of service!”

About: I have helped with many people's pets who needed walked. Also have done pet sitting with house sitting. I have enjoyed meeting animals and getting to know them. I'm currently working part time and able to make plenty of time to walk and do drop in visits for other people's pets aka fur babies. I like to learn how each fur babies home is and get to know the neighborhood to keep them in an environment that helps keep them calm in their natural home area.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Spokane
Danielle was so amazing, our dogs loved her! She left such cute little report cards from each visit she did. She was so kind and genuine and easy to get a hold of and talk to ☺️ Danielle even bought our dogs a bigger water bowl, so sweet! Thank you so much, Danielle! ☺️

Willow was amazing with our three cats. I could tell they were very happy to see her each day. She was also very helpful and flexible when we had a few hiccups at the house while we were away. I will definitely call on her again to pet sit for us. She was great. Five stars!

Elyse was a great match for me kitty Billi. Billi was a bit skittish at first, but it's clear Elyse had worked with cats before and was very patient. I got photos of a happy kitty playing and content to be cared for. I came home to a clean house and everything was neat and tidy.

Karen was seriously the perfect sitter. She's very reliable, conscientious, cat-approved. She sent us photos and notes with every visit. I really appreciated knowing our two kitties were in good hands. She handled their feeding peculiarities with ease, kept letter boxes clean, brought in packages/mail, and left it all in tip top shape. Highly recommended!

This is my first time using Rover, and I'm so happy to have found Sarah for our two 16 year-old cats. She was prompt for each visit, communicative, and shared notes and pictures for each visit. I provided detailed notes about our one cat who requires a pill daily and insulin injections twice daily, and she did a great job. We were gone for three days and when we returned both cats seemed very content and calm, which shows that she took great care of them!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spokane. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
