“Great first meeting with Jackie. Our dog is high energy and high anxiety and she walked laps and threw treats with us to get him familiar to a new person. Look forward to working with her again.”

“Danielle was amazing!! I received photos every visit while traveling for work, a much needed pick me up on work trips. Danielle watched my husky, Great Dane, and 4 month old mixed breed puppy recently adopted from the Humane society and a little skittish but she took to Danielle quickly. I am glad to have found a good dog sitter for my work trips. Highly recommend!!”

“I am so happy that I found Tiffany! She was so kind, great communication, reliable, trustworthy, and she did great with my kitties. I highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again. ❤️”

About: As a young kid, my family bred Saint Bernards. By all means, I am from a "dog family." I grew up walking, feeding, cleaning stalls, etc. dogs much larger than me. Eventually and gradually we would adopt several mixed-breed dogs and other strays who we loved just as much as our Saints. On top of this, however, I was also proud to be responsible for a beautiful, sassy cat, from a younger kitty to her golden years. Moreover, some friends and I spent time trapping feral cats in West Central Spokane, specifically around where we lived and worked, then taking them to PetSavers for spay/neutering, and working to rehome them. I enjoy "working" with all kinds of dogs and cats. This includes seniors, those with health conditions, or those who simply benefit from extra patience and extra attention. You may already see me walking dogs in Cheney and Airway Heights. I would be glad to get to know your pet family and learn what everyone likes best and wants most. I currently work as a "hand" maintaining a lower-maintenance property in the greater Spokane County. This arrangement is semi-formal and provides ample flexibility in my schedule to meet the needs of your pet family. Each home and family is different, and expresses their love for the pet family in different ways. I am glad to meet your pet family where you are all at, and give us an opportunity to get to know each other. I talk low and slow by default, but can easily match the energy of your pet family. Dogs will enjoy their walks and time together and return a happy camper :-) Cats will have a dedicated eye on them and if your cat is a playful or affectionate type, their need to socialize will be met. I can usually coax most shy cats into some socializing or play time, and cats who are "protective" of one thing or another, and maybe not as friendly, still will also get ample care and attention.
About: I’m patient, caring, dependable, reliable and take my dog out on walks every day. I work from home so I will be with your beloved pet at all times. I work from home and have one dog who I walk daily. Most of my time is spent with my dog and if your dog stays with us, they will be with us all day. I do live in an apartment, however, I am active and attentive so I can provide a lot of activity outdoors or spend time with your dog indoors if that’s what they prefer.
“Taylor was great! Our shy cat Carl slowly warmed up to her and by the end of the week was coming out for lovin's! Highly recommend Taylor and looking forward to future trips with her as our sitter.”

“Vanessa took great care of my dog and cat while I was away. She sent me regular updates and photos, which put my mind at ease. My pets were happy and relaxed when I returned home, and the house was tidy too! Vanessa is trustworthy, reliable, and clearly loves animals. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible pet sitter. Five stars and a big thank you!”

“Alexys was amazing! She took my last minute booking request and our cat loved her! She was on time and took lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend her and rebook her again.”

About: Hi, I’m Alyvia! I got my first pet when I was 8 years old, and since then, I’ve developed a deep love and plenty of experience caring for both dogs and cats. Whether it’s playtime, walks, snuggles, or daily routines, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’d be honored to care for your furry family members and make sure they feel happy and loved while you’re away! I am a full-time college student with morning classes Tuesday-Friday. I am available all day Monday and anytime after 12:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first! During walks, I use secure leashes, stay alert to surroundings, and go at your pet’s pace—whether they love a stroll or need to burn off energy. For drop-in visits, I will follow your pet’s routine closely and make sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for in their own home. I’m respectful of your space and always leave things just as I found them—except with a happier pet!
About: I have been watching the dogs and cats of friends and family since I was in middle school, and have stayed overnight with a 6 month old puppy to make sure she was comfortable. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my number 1 priority. I always make sure to open the door slowly and make sure your pet can’t escape, and will follow any tips and tricks you provide as an owner. Please consider me when you’re planning your next trip, scheduling your next walk, or just want someone reliable to check in on your pup or kitty! I work full time and am always on call, but I have three dogs at home and make sure I can make time for the fur babies! I always ensure dogs are as at-home as possible and move at their pace, whether they need a run or just to hop outside and then curl back on the couch.
“Kathryn was an excellent choice to do drop in checks feeding and litter box cleaning while we were away. She sent us photos of each visit and a check list of what was done including time of arrival and departure. We highly reccomend her and we hope she'll be available to when we have to be away again.”

About: I grew up around animals, especially many dogs. I’d always take care of my families pets, help my dad out whenever he would dog sit. Even now, I love animal sitting for friends whenever I get the chance! I’m currently in the military so my schedule is pretty consistent. I’m able to do any kind of animal care anytime after work, on the weekends, even holidays! I own a big dog and a cat so I’m very familiar with any kind of cat needs and how to take care and make sure the animals are cared for!

“We have booked Kimi for several visits now and she is wonderful! She checks in and makes sure our cat is healthy and happy when we are our of town. Kimi has been very flexible with our sometimes crazy travel schedules and we are very appreciative.”

I’m currently home full time, and I’m available for boarding in my home or drops ins at your home to check on your furry friends. My home is quiet, no children present, my dog is very very mellow, fully fenced yard and a park nearby, the streets have sidewalks for safe walking.
“Dr. Erma was such a help! She picked up a job last minute. I have a cat that needs insulin shots and doesn't like other people and Dr. Erma was able to administer her medication safely while I was away. Dr. Erma was very communicative, professional, and consistent! I got stuck traveling in the Delta glitch and Dr. Erma was so helpful and responsive to extend her times and make sure my cat got her medicine, even though I came home a few days later than was planned. I felt confident having my cat in her care!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hayford. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
