About: I am a huge animal lover of all kinds. I have worked at petting zoos and regular zoos, volunteered at animals shelters and animal sanctuaries, and own two cats myself. I have watched many of my family and friend’s pets and homes throughout the years. I have experience with all sorts of animals, from starfish to horses to golden doodles. I go to school Monday-Friday, my schedule being Monday: 8:30-4:30 Tuesday: 9:30-10:30 Wednesday: 8:30-9:20, 12:30-4:20 Thursday: 8:30-3:20 Friday:8:30-9:20, 12:30-2:20 After those times or during any gaps I am available to house sit or drop in as needed I am a responsible young adult who has a lot of experience with animals and has cat sit many times in the past in client’s homes. I always send them pictures of their kitties and give them a brief on everything once I’ve finished. I know how stressful it can be to leave pets at home, so I try to make it as comfortable for them as possible!
About: For most of my life I've had a pet whether it be a dog, cat, rabbit or at one time a pot bellied pig. I love animals and seem to have a way with them. When I was younger I worked in an animal shelter for over 2 years and learned so much. I gave vaccinations and meds on a regular basis and if an animal is sick I understand what may be wrong. I'm happy to stay in your home so your pet has someone there they can depend on to love and care for them and keep them company while you're away. I'm also happy to drop by during the day or night to walk or just spend time playing with your pets. I'm dependable, trustworthy and respectful.
“Lisa has done drop in visits for us a few times. We have a challenging array of pets but she always keeps them happy and sends updates. She is a great communicator, even if you are not.”
About: I have had dogs my whole life, and I really love animals. I don't work, so I can be around all the time as a regular to care for your pet, rather than having to use someone new all the time. I really enjoy being able to be around dogs. And the dogs have all had a good time with me :) I have three dogs at my house, and we have dog guests quite a lot. Some are older, and some I have had the pleasure of raising from puppies. I'm currently helping take care of a 13 year old dog. And I took care of a disabled dog who had paralysis in his hind legs, and I had to nurse back after spine surgery.
“Julia was responsive with messages and on time with each visit. I enjoyed viewing my dogs report card each day along with many pics. I will be requesting Julia for future services.”

“Krissy is awesome! She did drop-in visits for our senior golden retriever while we were out of town and we came home to a very happy dog! She is very trustworthy and we will be using again.”

About: Hi there! I’m a college student at Gonzaga University here in Spokane for the summer, saving up for a study abroad trip to Italy. What better way to earn money than by spending time with animals! I currently have three dogs at home and have had cats in the past too, so I truly love all kinds of pets. Being away from my own animals during the school year is tough, so this is the perfect way for me to stay connected to the joy that pets bring. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or just some good company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and give them the best care possible! I work a 9-5 this summer, but I’m fully available mornings and evenings to give your pet walks, playtime, snuggles, or just some company. I’ll treat them like they’re my own, and I can’t wait to meet your pet and give them the best care possible! At home, I help take care of our three dogs, so I’m very familiar with the daily routine of feeding, bathing, and giving them lots of love and attention. I’m also an active person who loves being outside, so making sure your pets get plenty of exercise is something that comes naturally to me. Whether it’s long walks, playtime at the park, or just getting them out to stretch their legs, I’m all for it! I’m confident in handling basic grooming needs and I’ll care for your pet just like I do my own, responsibly and with lots of affection.
About: I’ve had animal companions my entire life, including cats, dogs, fish, birds, and gerbils. When taking care of my own, I believe that the comfort and safety of the animal is the first priority and I promise to keep those values with your furry friends I am available every day of the week and weekend except for Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday 11am-3pm. I am available for late nights and early mornings I can adhere to any environmental preferences you have for your pet’s safety. I am experienced in keeping animals separated and carefully supervising outdoor time.
About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for family, neighbors, and friends for as long as I can remember. Feeding, walking, playing, scooping litter...I've done it all! I currently own two cats of my own and have raised them since they were kittens, and I used to have a family dog when I was younger, so I have a lot of experience in pet care! I'm a teacher looking to make some extra money over the summer break, so I currently have open availability for the next few months to take care of your furry friends! I can check in on pets anytime during the day and play with them for however long is needed! My top priority is making sure the owner feels comfortable knowing that their animal is being well-cared for. Building a relationship with your pet is important to me so that they understand that I am there to help them!

“Willow is someone I trust with my fur babies. She is reliable and also makes good decisions about dealing with some of my young dog's issues. She is also very pleasant and good at communicating.”

“Elizabeth is a gem! We had a last minute emergency and she helped us with our dogs like she was family. We have used her services in the past and will no doubt boom with her every time!”

“I wish I could give a million stars! Emily is everything you hope for when you look for a pet sitter. Animals naturally love her, and she was willing to work with our unique situation of a senior dog and a very hyperactive puppy. I recommend Emily highly to anyone looking for not only animal care; someone their pets are so excited to see that they actually miss their owners less! :) She is amazing, hands-down.”

“The best review you can give as a pet owner happens when you come home to a happy and healthy pet. Our Zila is normally a little freaked out when someone besides us are there with her. Cathy has a magic touch! Zila was happy and comfortable when we got back from our trip. Cathy obviously gave Zila love and took great care of her while we were away. Thank you so much!”

About: I have had dogs since I was born and love to go on adventures and walks with them. I have taken care of many dogs and cats here in Spokane. I also have experience with farm animals. The prices listed can be negotiated, I usually like to switch to Venmo. I just graduated from Gonzaga and this summer I’m applying for teaching jobs. In my extra time besides applying I want to be with animals. In my clients home I will make sure the pup feels they are in caring hands with lots of love and care. I will make sure to be tidy and clean as I respect my clients space. If there are feeding and medication schedules I need to follow I will make sure that happens on time and correctly.
“Carla is great! Her timely communication and professionalism provided peace of mind while we were away. We will certainly be having her house sit/drop-in while we are on our next foray!”

Spokane dog parents share their Rover experiences
We were a bit nervous as this was our first time using Rover, but Tara immediately made us feel comfortable. We knew our dog was in good hands. The report cards and pictures showed that she was spending quality time with our. We will absolutely use Tara again. Highly recommend.

Emily was and is an angel in disguise! Her experience and clear love for our dogs was apparent the moment we did a meet and greet, which she did very late notice for us after our pet sitter fell through right before our first big trip two months after we’d moved to the area alone! We were of course nervous helicopter parents, but she never rushed us during the visit, was so lovely just to talk to as a person, and offered everything we could’ve hoped for and more for visits! Since then we re-booked with Emily once more, and each time she has blown us away. She is incredibly diligent about any destruction (our two herding breed boys only ever chew things when we leave on trips, monsters!) always reporting it back, picking it up and leaving the remains in case anything needs to be reviewed for missing pieces, and in two different cases of chewing more concerning things she was incredibly vigilant during follow up visits to ensure there were no blockages or tummy or health problems! She was also undaunted by our more detailed feeding and medication routines, and despite being very unlikely to happen she was ready to handle any issues that might have arisen with our epileptic dog. I dread the day Emily will be booked before we get to her, because she is simply THAT amazing as a sitter and I never want to use anyone else even after just two bookings! She really made an impression on two doting dog parents with no community members or local people to rely on, and we will never forget that and will recommend her at the highest possible level because of it. Thank you Emily!!

I had Matthew start coming over for drop in visits with my two high energy/anxiety dogs while I'm and work. They usually take a while to warm up to new people but after one meet and greet and his first visit they started warming up and playing a little which is much quicker than usual! He is very communicative, and patient and friendly with the dogs. Will definitely have Matthew over again and I'm excited to see them warm up even more!
