About: I've taken care of my family's dogs for five years, being the main trainer for both of them. I also have housesat for a family with two older dogs who needed more supervision as well as medication. I am not working currently, but I am helping mu family during the day, so evenings and weekends are set aside for animals. Shorter check-ins during the day can be done as well. I can also spend nights with animals if you need me to. I can not take pets into my home just because I do not have enough space, but in the client's home I can care for pets however they want me to.

I have experience dealing with behavioral dogs, administering medicine, and training puppies! Whatever your animal may need, I am happy to do. While I work full-time, my work is fairly flexible. Leaving your pet is stressful, so I am happy to adjust my schedule where I can to help give you peace of mind. You know your dog better than I ever could! When doing drop in visits, I will make sure your dog is comfortable with me and my presence. I will make sure they get the love they deserve while you are away!

Kelsey is absolutely amazing! She has helped us multiple times with checking in on our kitties while we are out of town. She is a true animal lover and gave our kitties numerous cuddles to help them feel better. She sends great pics and goes above and beyond when she comes over- bringing in packages or bringing up the trashcan (without even being asked). She is a true gem of a person and the best Rover we’ve had!

About: My crazy dog lady era began when I got my first puppy Stella right before my 22nd birthday. Then the next year I brought home my dearest boy Bailey. And finally a few years ago I rescued Grimm, who had a really rough start but is now just the best boy. Very sadly and suddenly, Bailey passed on New Years Day 2026. Stella is now elderly and Grimm is special needs, so I have a lot of experience in both. Having grown up with all sorts of animals and raised them from birth to beyond, I know a pet’s need for interaction (from minimal to maximum) and I’d love the opportunity to love on your pet like they’re my own. I do have some veterinary experience, as well as dog boarding and daycare experience. I can’t wait to hear from you! I do work a day job, but my hours are somewhat flexible and I can make more times work if I have notice. I plan to open up hours as my clients increase and I decrease my other work hours. I follow the owners instructions to the absolute best of my ability. I meet the pet where they are (if they love attention, great! If they prefer space, I respect that!) I'll also do everything from feeding, to medicating (I have 10+ years of experience with pharmaceuticals and medicating animals), to tidying up whatever messes they may make. Your buddies will receive the royal treatment!

About: I grew up with a golden retriever for almost 10 years and learned all of the responsibilities of walking, washing, loving, and playing with dogs and I had a 3 1/2 year old cat whom I learned to care for on my own as well for the past 3 years. I also have experience pet/house sitting and just dropping in on friends dogs or cats as a teenager. I'm currently working full time but I work remotely so it you need a house sitter, I can work from there and take breaks to play, let dog out, feed, etc. I only work Mon to Fri so can easily house sit on the weekend at any time. If you only need a dog walker, I am available after 5pm during weekdays but am available anytime on Sat and/or Sunday. I care for your dog and/or cat while house sitting by walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with them. I have a car that I can bring them to a vet, if needed.

Mylo did a super job dropping in and helping us out with our dogs over the holiday weekend. We were so grateful knowing that she was spending time with our dogs while we were away from our home. She gave them attention, pets, play time, fresh water, fed them, and even retrieved a beloved ball from underneath the deck and saved the day. She was communicative and kept us updated with messages and photos. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook with Mylo again.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Spokane Valley stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Spokane Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Spokane Valley with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
