About: My father taught me about life by giving me pets since I was able to walk. Animals are a gift and should be treated like they are family. I work full time, but I still have plenty of time to take care of your pets. Having a small farm myself, my kids, who are older, pitch in to give animals all the care and love they need! I have a fenced in property and enclosed kennels for exercise. I also enjoy taking them on walks and playing ball with them outside. Any specific requests will try to be honored…

About: I’ve been around dogs for years and have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, and I always strive to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd mix, so I’m very comfortable with large breeds and high-energy dogs. I’ve also administered medications to my own dogs when needed and always follow care instructions carefully. Beyond caring for my own pets, I’ve looked after many friends’ and family members’ dogs while they were away. I also rescued one of my own dogs, which gave me experience helping an adult dog adjust to a new home, build confidence, and replace unwanted habits with positive behaviors through patience and consistent training. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether your dog prefers a relaxing walk or an active adventure, I’ll tailor their care to their individual needs while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available most days for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. If I’m providing house sitting, I just ask for about two hours each day to care for and exercise my own dogs while my husband is at work. Outside of that, I’m committed to following your pet’s normal routine and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and any special instructions so they receive the care they’re used to. Whether we’re out on a walk or spending time at home, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that lightly. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog for a walk, or house sitting, I’ll provide attentive, compassionate care while doing my best to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I’d also be happy to keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I have been raising and training different dog breeds for most of my life. All of my adult life. Slowly making it into a career. I work from home as a music engineer with plenty of free time for the dogs. Typically hitting the local park at least twice a day. I focus on and training to keep your dog relaxed and free from anxiety. Plenty of toys and lots of outdoor time tend to do the trick.

About: I’ve been a proud dog owner for the past year and a half, and I’ve loved animals my entire life! I absolutely love spending time with dogs and will bring plenty of care, attention, and enthusiasm to every visit with your pup! I raised and trained my own rescue pup from puppyhood, so I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, reinforcing good habits, and keeping pups mentally and physically engaged. I’m happy to incorporate enrichment, play, exercise, and basic training into our time together based on your dog’s needs and your preferences. And of course, plenty of walks, cuddles, belly rubs, and love are always included! 🐶 Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! I’m heading to graduate school this fall, so I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your pup and give them the same care and attention I’d want for my own dog. I always start by getting to know each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their feeding, medication, exercise, and enrichment instructions closely and make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel connected to your pet while you’re away. I treat every client’s home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I keep things clean and tidy, make sure doors and gates are secure, and double-check that your pet has everything they need before I leave. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away!

Maia was extremely sweet and made sure that our kitty, Cinder, was well cared for. She provided quality care and play, and sent us frequent updates with photos and the occasional video. She was communicative with us, and we could tell that Cinder who struggles with separation anxiety, did a lot better than she normally does when we're gone for a while. Thanks Maia! <3

About: I have loved and cared for dogs and cats most of my life and I'm trusted by neighbors, family and friends to do the same for their animals. I am a professional who works mostly from home with a flexible schedule so I am easily able to meet your pet’s individual needs. An animal lover with no current live-in pets, I have been a dog mom multiple times over. During my undergraduate years at WSU, I initially pursued a pre-vet track before I switched to marine science. In the course of my studies, I served in two different vet clinics as a technician, experience I draw on to give your pet a high level of care and support. I'm currently working part-time so will have plenty of time for quality interaction with your pet! I live in a pet friendly neighborhood so it’s easy to take dogs on walks and frequent local parks. I am a very detail-oriented and communicative person who will treat your pet and property with love and respect. Pets need to be well trained - I am happy to accommodate needs as I can!

About: Hi, I'm Stephanie, and this is my husband Luke. We're your Critter Companions, and with us, two is always better. For overnight stays we work as a team, which means double the attention, double the playtime, and an extra set of eyes on your property. We specialize in residential pet and property care. As independent caretakers, our mission is estate-level care that gives you complete peace of mind: your pets stay comfortable in their own home, and your property is truly looked after, not just checked on. ✦ What We Specialize In We're especially comfortable with the pets and situations that need extra care and attention: ✓ Special needs and senior pets (blind, deaf, mobility-challenged, or behaviorally complex) ✓ Complex medication schedules: pills, injections, eye drops, you name it ✓ High-maintenance breeds that need extensive grooming, intense exercise, or dedicated training ✓ Extended stays, comfortably caring for your pets for weeks or even months at a time ✓ Holiday care, because I don't disappear during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's ✓ Multi-pet households, managing different personalities, feeding schedules, and needs ✓ Anxious or reactive pets, with patient, consistent care that helps nervous animals feel secure ✦ A Little About Us We were both raised around animals, but I turned that passion into my life's work. I've been caring for animals since I was 10 years old, the neighborhood's trusted pet sitter long before it was a profession. Thirteen years later, I've cared for everything from easy-going family dogs to high-maintenance breeds with special medical needs, for stays ranging from long weekends to month-long holidays. What clients tell me sets me apart is how I read animals. I pick up on the subtle changes in behavior, body language, and those little cues that tell you something's off before it becomes a problem. I'm not going through the motions; I love what I do, and that enthusiasm shows in how I care for your pets and your home. ✦ Your Home, Cared For I look after your home just as carefully: mail, plants, trash bins, security checks, and that lived-in presence that keeps your property safe. You'll receive regular photo and video updates so you can truly relax while you're away. ✦ Values You Can Trust Beyond the practical care, we believe the people you let into your home matter just as much as the work they do. We love the Lord, and our faith in Jesus shapes how we run our business and how we treat what's entrusted to us. For us that means a simple, steady lifestyle: we don't drink, smoke, party, or invite guests into your home. While you're away, your house stays exactly as it should, quiet, respected, and cared for, with nothing happening under your roof that you wouldn't welcome yourself. When you hand us your keys, you're trusting us with your home and your family. We take that seriously, and we hold ourselves to it no matter the circumstances. ✦ Let's Connect Over the years I've built lasting relationships with pets and their owners because I treat every home like my own and every pet like family. I'd be honored to earn that same trust from you. If you're looking for someone who will love and protect your pets (and home) like their own, let's connect. Pet care isn't a side hustle for me—it's my primary focus and passion. My husband and I are entrepreneurs with flexible schedules, which means we can provide the kind of attentive, present care that pets truly need. For overnight stays, we're in your home from evening through the following morning (and throughout the day if needed), so your pets are never alone for extended periods. We don't juggle multiple clients at once or rush between appointments. When we commit to caring for your pets, they have our full attention for the duration of your trip. We're available for extended stays including weekends, holidays, and even month-long commitments. Because we work as a team, your pets benefit from having two consistent caregivers who can coordinate schedules, provide extra play sessions, and ensure someone is always nearby if needed. In Your Home: I've been around animals literally since I was an infant—they've always been my comfort, my joy, and honestly, my obsession. There's something about the presence of animals that just feels like home to me, and that's exactly the energy I bring to your pets and property. As the owner of a young, energetic Miniature Australian Shepherd, I know firsthand what it takes to meet the demands of intelligent, high-energy breeds. I'm devoted to keeping my own dog mentally stimulated, physically tired, and emotionally fulfilled—and I bring that same level of commitment to every pet in my care. Your pets aren't just a job to me; they're loved and treated with the same compassion and attention I give my own. Pet Safety & Care: ✓I follow your routines exactly—feeding times, medication schedules, exercise patterns, and house rules ✓Secure all doors, windows, and gates before letting pets outside (no escape artists on my watch!) ✓Keep toxic plants, foods, and hazards out of reach ✓Monitor pets closely for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health ✓Have your vet information and emergency contacts readily accessible ✓Never introduce your pets to unfamiliar animals or people without permission ✓Provide the mental stimulation and physical activity your pets need to stay happy and healthy Home Security & Cleanliness: ✓Maintain a "lived-in" presence with lights, blinds, and your normal routine ✓Collect mail and packages to avoid signaling an empty home ✓Take trash bins to/from curb on collection days ✓Water plants and maintain your home's appearance ✓Provide regular photo/video updates so you can see everything (and everyone) is doing great ✓I pride myself on attention to detail and cleanliness—you'll come home to a thoroughly cleaned space that exceeds expectations Trust & Respect: I treat your home with the utmost respect—no unauthorized guests ever and I leave your space cleaner than I found it. My husband and I work as a team, which means your pets get double the love and your home gets double the oversight. The best part? When you walk through that door after your trip, your pets will be more giddy than ever to see you—well-exercised, well-loved, and so happy you're home. And you can relax knowing everything was handled with care.

About: For the past 15 years we’ve had 2-3 dogs and truly believe our dogs are a part of our family. Currently we have a 2 year old Aussiedoodle and we have two kids who love to play with dogs but also understand when a dog needs his or her space. We do allow dogs on the couch and have plenty of room for a dog bed if provided. I’ve had pets all my life and understand how important it is to have someone watching them who will treat them love and respect. I’m currently a stay at home mom and my husband works from home. While we have daily chores and errands we run everything is adjustable to fit your dogs needs. I’m rarely gone more then 2 hours at a time and there will usually always be someone home in my absence. Dogs are welcome to come in and out of our home via a doggie door and have full access to our large backyard. We recently moved and the yard is even bigger and better than before! If you require walks or even trips to the dog park we can definitely accommodate that. We do allow dogs on the couch and we have gates set up to keep dogs on our main level giving us the ability to keep a close watch on them. Note: For puppies under 1 or dogs with chewing tendencies or destructive separation anxiety we may require a crate. We do have one extra available and can definitely discuss further at the meet and greet. I’m currently a stay at home Mom so my schedule is flexible. I’m able to be home as much as needed and rarely leave for extended periods of time. My husband works from home so there will most likely always be someone around. In addition to our one dog we can board up to three additional dogs at one time. I will do my best to keep you updated and informed if there will be any additional dogs in the house at the time of your pets visit but I do quite often receive last minute request. Drop off/pick up times between 7:00 AM - 10:30 PM, any request outside these times may require an additional night to be booked. We recently moved into our new home which is larger then the old one with TONS of space for the dogs, a covered patio to relax under and a fully fenced in yard. We plan to install a doggie door as soon as possible so dogs can have free access in and out of the house. While rare to have more the. 3 additional dogs in the house we will occasionally take up to 5 additional dogs at one time. While we do our absolute best to monitor the dogs 24/7 they are dogs and can be unpredictable, we do our best to maintain a safe environment for all dogs and will inform you of any issues that arise.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Coeur d'Alene stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coeur d'Alene choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coeur d'Alene. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
