I’ve cared for cats and dogs starting back in high school when I was a vet tech before going to college. Then on/off over the last 20 years, I’ve cared for pets for friends, neighbors, and relatives - from walks and activities, feeding, medication administration, bathing, a little grooming, training just to name a few!

Safety, trust & environment
At a clients home, I follow their instructions/rules/preferences in order to be most respectful to their home and belongings. I also ensure to follow whatever routines are typical in the home to help ease any anxieties a pet might have. I spend a lot of time at the home caring for/playing with pets. If it’s my home, I have a fully fenced in back yard on a larger lot. I also make sure to adhere to any preferences a pets owners might have for sleeping arrangements, play time, etc.
Ratings and reviews
Melissa was an excellent caretaker for our two cats. She was very communicative and followed our instructions for feeding and providing medications to our cats to a tee. Her follow up visit reports and photos were very thorough. I felt completely at ease with leaving my cats in her care.
It was my first time using Rover, so was a little apprehensive. But Melissa eased my fears when she did a meet and greet prior to watching our 2 dogs. She is very knowledgeable and has a tremendous amount of experience. We were able to get away for the week-end knowing our dogs were lovingly cared for. Melissa provided notes and pictures throughout her stay. Will definitely use again!
Melissa put so much care and attention into drop-in visits with our cat and really was above and beyond what we expected. I also think her son is our cat’s new best friend. We loved getting updates and photos from her every day and could tell she took care of Beezy like she was her own pet!
I would give Melissa more than 5 stars if I could. I could see immediately that Melissa and her son, Aedan, would be a good fit for my Lola 🐾. Melissa was very responsive to my inquiries and super flexible when I needed to change Lola’s petsitting arrangements several times and then from Daycare to Boarding at the last minute. She and Aedan spent a lot of time with Lola and Melissa sent frequent updates. I highly recommend 😊
Melissa and Aiden did a wonderful watching our 2 MAS. Aiden made sure our 1 year was worn out before they left for the day which was exactly what our energetic puppy needed, while our older guy was able to have what he likes best, a break from the puppy! Updates were very reassuring to see. I would definitely recommend and will be using Melissa in the future.
Absolutely Amazing !! Very responsive, I could tell my dog really enjoyed every visit by the photos I received and when I came home from being away my dog almost seemed disappointed it was me walking in the door haha and not his new friends to come play

Schedule
I work from home full time and have a nice new fenced backyard with 2 locked access gates. I’m currently having small and medium dogs only for DayCare and Boarding at this time with drop ins as available.
