Taylor is amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our very anxious old dog felt secure and was happy. The pics from day one until the end show how he improved each day. He is not a big fan of the smile but he had one in his ongoing pictures also a nice thing to see happy and do relaxed. Can’t wait to use her again. It’s a blessing to enjoy your vacation and not worry about your pets because you know they are being cared for!

About: I’ve always loved animals of all sorts and have grown up taking care of my family’s pets and friend’s pets. I have 5+ years of experience working in the veterinary medicine field as an assistant and receptionist, continuing to gain knowledge and new skills. I have the knowledge to care for various types of pets, from dogs and cats to pocket pets to large animal. I’m proficient at handling various needs of your pets, such as medication administration and speciality care with different diets. I have experience caring for young and senior pets! I currently work full time at a local veterinary hospital but am flexible around my work day. I’m available for drop in visits and walks around my work day and overnight stays at your home. I stick to your pets routines as much as possible while caring for them in your home. Paying extra attention to them while we’re outside, such as checking the pavement if it’s too hot while on walks, or staying out with your pet while in your yard. Safety and the well being of your pet(s) is my priority.

About: There hasn’t been a time in my life I can remember where I haven’t had a furry friend by my side. I’ve taken care of numerous pets from families and friends who may not have been mine but I loved just as dearly as my own. I have experience with all ages and types of pets, however mellow or rowdy. I believe every animal deserves as much respect, patience, and love it takes for them to feel safe. I’m confident in my ability to accommodate any pet regardless of age or personality. I’m not currently working so I have plenty of time I’d gladly spend with your pets, no matter how early or late, I can be extremely flexible. This is often based on my clients routines which I like to follow as closely as I can. I love spending quality time going for a long walk or playing with any fun toys with pets.

About: I love animals so much. I cannot have my own right now so I would love to love on yours. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet's unique personality and needs. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I treat every animal with the same kindness, respect, and love that I would want for my own. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have the flexibility to provide consistent care, including walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and love making sure they feel happy, secure, and well cared for. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special routines or preferences. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, playtime, fresh water, potty breaks, and a clean, safe environment. I also understand how important communication is, so I'll provide regular updates and photos to help owners feel confident that their pet is happy and well cared for while they're away.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong passion for animals. I've had pets since I was 5 years old and have cared for six different pets over the years. My friends and neighbors often turn to me for pet sitting because they know how much I love and respect animals. Currently, I’m in graduate school for occupational therapy, where I aim to learn how to train animals for assistance with disabled individuals. I absolutely adore any animal, so I will ensure they get the treatment and love they deserve! I am currently in graduate school, but I have lots of flexibility other than my few hours of classes each day. I am completely available on the weekends to help whenever needed. I am very loving to my pets. I am always ensuring they are safe, but they can also have fun. I am willing to comply with any requests of caregiving. I want each pet to feel comfortable when their family is away. :)

About: I won't just treat them as a "pet" I treat all animals as family. I have taken care of various dog and cats from family members and friends since I was a child. This included staying over, walking, feeding, training and playing. At the moment I am pursuing schooling for dog training so I have open availability I usually ask for a days notice but it never hurts to ask. I have had experience with larger dogs (German shepherds, Great Pyerenese, Pitbulls and Saint Bernards) as well as small dogs (Chihuahua's, Shih Tzu and Dachshunds). I also provide baths and nail trimming when asked. I enjoy running too so if your looking to get your dog in shape! If your pets coming to my house they must be crate trained (for when I sleep) and friendly with other dogs.

About: I got my first dog Ginger (Golden Retriever) when I was very young maybe about four or five years old. When she had puppies, I helped my parents take care of them. After Ginger, I grew up around several other dogs including Labrador Retrievers, a Schnauzer, Boston Terrier, Chihuahua, Great Pyrenees. I have had six years experience caring for my partner's Shepsky who is high anxiety including separation anxiety and when my mom is out of town for an extended period of time I care for her dog which includes medication administration. I currently work part time and have a very flexible schedule and the summer off from school so I can adapt to your needs as a pet sitter! When caring for pets in a client's home, I first like to conduct a meet and greet to learn your pet's specific routine with tasks like feeding and potty breaks and medications and scheduled administration if any. I will stick to this to reduce anxiety and excel at providing consistent communication with photo updates as needed. I also believe in respecting a client's home and belongings and abide by the "leave a place better than you found it" rule.

About: I have experience with dogs and cats my entire life. Have always been a huge animal lover. I have a 1 1/2 year old cat that keeps me on my toes and my roommate has a 6 year old blue pit (the son of my late Pit) and she also has a 1 year old miniature dachshund. Experienced with young to senior pets. I also have had years of experience with ferrets and birds! No animal will go unloved! I have a part time job, so plenty of time for fetch, walks, or simply loving on your animals. I’m good with overnight stays and even administering medicine if needed. I have crating experience as well as yard/no yard. I’m experienced with cleaning cages as well! My pets love a good porch sit and I love sitting with them. Not to mention the ample amount of toys!

About: I personally have 4 dogs and 3 cats, and having had animals all around the house while growing up I am well suited to care for both small and large dogs and cats. I have been a dependable pet sitter for neighbors and friends over the years, and will treat your beloved animals like my own. I am currently post grad and have a very flexible schedule, so rest assured I can stop in and love on your pups multiple times a day :) I will care for your pets like they are my own :) I can handle hyper as well as more sensitive or shy pets. If they needs loads of attention I’ll be at their beck and call, and if they rather be left alone I’ll make sure their needs are met without the extra hassle. Your pet will feel secure and safe.

About: Let me begin with this, I know how to train our Jack Russel with the up most patience love and care. I also have never ran into a cutie that I couldn't be a friend with. I am currently working part time, so there is plenty of time for me to shower your pets with love and attention! Tell me when and I am sure we can make something work! I have a fenced back yard as well as the energy to take your doggo's on daily walks if need be. If there is anything in specific that your loved one enjoys most please let me know and I am sure there is a way to make it work! Pet care, fit in my routine? Well, honestly, my pets are cared for first so there is no need to be worried about them throughout the day. Of course, that means, at least for me, whenever there is time in my daily routine I have no issues giving that time to my animals. It's like a bonus check for them and for me as well. I care for them as if they were my own. Respect is treating other's in the same compliance as you wish to be done onto. Regardless if your human, or animal.

Rachael was so awesome and took such good care of our dogs! There were even some issues with our garage door opener that stopped working so she couldn’t get into the house and she figured it out and was able to get back inside! (Thank goodness) She was a lifesaver for a last minute trip that we needed to take for a funeral. Thanks Rachael!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Mead stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mead choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Mead with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mead. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
