Our babysitter John was great. We went through wags for a sitter and it was a very bad experience so we got onto Rover and we were already out of town when people kept canceling on us in the middle of the city so we got on Rover. Sitter he was great and even was willing to pick our dog up and drop them off. Definitely will use him again.

Sarah is THE BEST dog sitter! Kind, considerate, detail oriented, great communicator. She took care of my pup Piper during the day for a few days while I was in town to watch a volleyball tournament, and I couldn't be happier with how it worked out. I really appreciated the status update text messages that Sarah sent from time to time, and it was abundantly clear from the pics she shared that Piper was totally comfortable and really enjoying her time there. Also -- a big shout out to Sarah's pup, Sully, for sharing his home and his mom with Piper for a few days! He was a great host and he & Piper got along very well. I would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat if/when we visit Spokane again!

Emily is truly amazing and her 3 dogs are absolutely amazing. She took such good care of my boy Oreo and he actually is best friends now with her dog Reese. For a first time mom she relieved my anxiety and worry about him. She sent me updates and pictures and has been such a blessing in our lives. If you are looking for a dog sitter she is DEFINITELY the one to go to.

Frodo came home happy and exhausted. He was taken care from the get go. Lance took time to understand and see who frodo was. You can tell he handled him with care and one of his own. We look forward to having Frodo spend time with Lance and his dogs again. 🐕 thanks for the updates on how we was throughout the day.

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Most recently, I brought home the cutest beagle girl named Mimi during the pandemic, during which I potty and crate trained her, socialized her with other dogs, taught her lots of tricks, and became best friends! Although I have no formal experience as a dog walker or sitter, I have successfully boarded many of my friends and family’s pets - I am the designated pet sitter! I currently work a remote, part-time job from 9am-12pm every day. During that time, I am not available to walk any doggos, but I can step away for a quick potty break if I’m boarding them. Otherwise, I am available in the mornings before 8:30 and afternoons after 12:30 for walks, play dates, or drop in potty breaks! While I do not have a yard, I live in a very friendly neighborhood perfect for walks. If your pet is friendly, my partner owns a lovely 7 yr-old golden that would love to play or come on a walk with us! (The golden does not live with me)

About: We are a loving, caring, responsible and reliable family who would love the opportunity to help you with your fur babies. Friends, family, and neighbors have entrusted their dogs (and children as I have nannied for two families full-time and babysat for countless families) to us and we would love to do that for you too. We know how hard it can be to leave a dog but look forward to the opportunity to make you and your dog feel at ease. We live walking distance to two parks and love taking walks. My littles also have a love for animals and are excited for this opportunity as well. Can’t wait to hear from you and help. We are fortunate for me to be able to be home with our two littles, so I am free to hang out with your doggies any day of the week. We have a fenced backyard with a sweet neighbor dog just over our shared fence to keep your pup company. But mostly, we are home full-time and will have ample time to give lots of attention to your doggie. A little about our little family: If you were to be a fly on the wall of our lives, you would find my oldest painting, coloring, playing "dog and baby," swinging on the swing, or playing with the water table. You would find my youngest in a wrap, giggling at her sister, cuddled up on the couch, or alert in the stroller as she discovers the world around her. You would find me prepping food, doing laundry, getting outdoors, and creating warmth in our home with my sweet husband.

About: I had my own dog growing up that I was responsible for. Since moving out from my parent's home, I've cared for other family and friends dogs. I'm a new momma and looking to get myself out of the house, taking my little ones on adventures. I love walking and love dogs, and want my kids to be comfortable around dogs (we have no pets of our own right now). Since beginning this endeavor, it has helped both my kids to love dogs as well. I would need to use your supplies-dog toys, treats, leashes, etc. But your dog would get their exercise/play time done during the day with me

About: I adore all breeds and sizes. I've cared for a dog most every year of my life, whether I was a student, working, vacationing, or just existing. Those years have trained me to read them well as far as knowing what they are communicating at any given time. I find it difficult to be without a furry friend. However, I'm retired and thinking of traveling in the future, so thought this Rover program would give me my "dog fix" until I'm ready to start my traveling. I've had babies, adults, and teens when it comes to dogs, and many varieties; Border Collies, German Shepherds, Irish Setters, Poodles, Golden Retrievers, Old English Sheepdogs, Terriers, and have trained and loved them all! I'm retired but do go to a recreational center daily to work out and swim, so I'm available for dog sitting, playing, and walking M-F after 1PM. And weekends after noon. I have a fenced yard partly in sun and partly in shade. I also have a dog door from inside the house out to the yard, so your dog can go outside anytime the urge hits. I'm also within 1 mile of 3 parks and the Finch Arboretum.

About: 🐾 Your Dog’s Dream Getaway with Nazzy! 🌈 Why Choose Me: 🌟 Overflowing Puppy Love I’ve been a dog lover since I was knee-high. I somehow end up befriending every pup I meet from neighborhood dogs to new friends at the dog park. Your dog will be cared for like one of my own, with plenty of love, attention, and cuddles. 👴 Senior Sweethearts Senior dogs hold a special place in my heart. I provide gentle walks, cozy naps, medication awareness, and personalized care to make sure your sweet senior feels safe, comfortable, and adored. 🎓 Special Doggy Talents I’m fluent in “dog.” I take the time to learn your pet’s routines, quirks, and preferences, and I follow their care instructions like a doggy bible because consistency matters. From feeding and bathing to long walks around the property, I’m here to make your dog’s stay truly wag-tastic 🐶❤️ 🌈 Pet Care Tailored to Your Lifestyle! 🐾 As the owner of Compassion Catering LLC, my daily and weekly routine revolves around creating delicious food for events and private dinners — and, lucky for me, spending quality time caring for your furry friends. While I continue growing my catering business, the winter season is naturally slower, with more time spent answering calls and responding to emails. This allows me greater availability and flexibility to provide consistent, attentive, top-notch pet care alongside my work. I’m not quite ready for a pup of my own yet, but I genuinely love caring for dogs on a scheduled basis and treating them like family. Let me take care of your pet, so you can focus on everything else life has in store for you. 🐾❤️ 🏡 Safety, Trust & Home Sweet Home 🐾 In Your Home: Keeping your pet’s routine consistent is key. I respect your home and care for your pet exactly as you would like, from feeding schedules to favorite play spots. My goal is to provide a calm, safe, and trustworthy environment so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. In My Home: Your pet becomes part of my home while they’re in my care. Safety is always my top priority, and I take the time to learn your pet’s routine so they feel right at home. From playtime to cozy naps and gentle exploring, I follow your guidelines closely — with an extra dose of love and attention. 💖🐾

About: After saying goodbye to my best friend a year and a half ago, I’m not quite ready to bring a new dog of my own home yet. However, I truly miss the companionship and the joy that dogs bring to daily life. Joining Rover is my way of getting back into the "dog world"—offering your pets the same dedicated love, patience, and attention I gave my own for over a decade. What I Offer: • Senior Care Knowledge: Having cared for a dog through his final years, I am very comfortable with senior pups and slow walks. Don’t think I don’t love puppies too! • A "Dogs-First" Home: Since I don't currently have a pet, your dog will be the "only child" and get 100% of my attention. • Lifelong Intuition: I understand that every dog has a unique personality, from high-energy athletes to professional couch potatoes. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. My home office is "dog-friendly," and I love having a furry coworker at my feet (or on the sofa!) throughout the day. What a day with me looks like: • Constant Supervision: Because I’m at my desk, I can offer frequent potty breaks and immediate attention whenever your pup needs it. • Structured Breaks: I use my lunch and mid-afternoon breaks for neighborhood walks, games of fetch, or just some quality backyard time. • Active "Face Time": I don't just sit in another room; I enjoy the companionship of dogs while I work. Whether your dog prefers to nap quietly nearby or needs occasional head scratches between my meetings, I’m here for it. • Flexible Needs: If your dog has a specific medication or feeding schedule that requires midday attention, my WFH setup makes that easy to accommodate. My home is a quiet, hazard-free sanctuary designed for stress-free stays. • Safety First: No other pets or children in the home—perfect for anxious or selective dogs. • Open Communication: Expect frequent "pupdates" and photos throughout the day. • Expert Handling: I am comfortable with senior care, medication, and following strict house rules.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Spokane

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Spokane on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 311 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Spokane. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Spokane commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 311 sitters in Spokane, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
