“Frodo came home happy and exhausted. He was taken care from the get go. Lance took time to understand and see who frodo was. You can tell he handled him with care and one of his own. We look forward to having Frodo spend time with Lance and his dogs again. 🐕 thanks for the updates on how we was throughout the day.”

“Sarah is THE BEST dog sitter! Kind, considerate, detail oriented, great communicator. She took care of my pup Piper during the day for a few days while I was in town to watch a volleyball tournament, and I couldn't be happier with how it worked out. I really appreciated the status update text messages that Sarah sent from time to time, and it was abundantly clear from the pics she shared that Piper was totally comfortable and really enjoying her time there. Also -- a big shout out to Sarah's pup, Sully, for sharing his home and his mom with Piper for a few days! He was a great host and he & Piper got along very well. I would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat if/when we visit Spokane again!”

“Irina was AMAZING!! It was our pups first time staying with someone other than family so Lilly a little nervous, but thanks to Irina our pup had a great time. Irina was accommodating and had incredible communication. I can’t recommend her enough!!”

“Lynda is just wonderful. So flexible, responsible and communicative. We have a high energy puppy, and Lynda always cares for her so well. Lynda is our go to for doggy day care for our pup. Would highly recommend!”

About: We have dogs, snakes, and a bunny. We have kept exotic pets for the past 10 years and love caring for all animals! Even the grouchy ones 😊 Our dogs eat at 12:30 and at 6:30 each day with frequent trips outside. They are friendly and we keep them trained to eat only out of their own bowls. Pet care is daily life in our home (with my spouse) and we both take pride in our relationships with animals I will frequently check for assent amongst pets to ensure safety and wellbeing. If animals need to be separated, we live in our finished basement and work upstairs, making it easy to both separate and engage with all the animals frequently. Any instructions will be religiously followed. I am getting my masters in behavior analysis so I am ALWAYS aware of the dynamics of our animals and animal guests!
“We were in Spokane for my husband's work conference and staying at a pet-friendly hotel when we found out the dogs couldn't be left unattended at all. We were in a panic until we connected with Mandie on Rover. She was so kind and easy to work with, making me feel so comfortable leaving my loves with her. I have a fragile 16-year-old dachshund, and I am always nervous about leaving him with anyone, but Mandie was so kind and understanding. She took great care of him, and I felt completely at ease. My one-year-old, full-of-energy golden doodle had the best time with her too, and she passed out in the car every night on the way back to the hotel. Mandie's professionalism and genuine love for dogs made our trip stress-free. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you, Mandie, for your outstanding care and compassion!”

About: Hello! I'm Taylor! My husband and I moved here from the Midwest a couple years ago and loved it so much we bought our first home! We brought our tuxedo cat, Benedict Mongoose "Goose" Cumberbatch, and our 15-year-old (but you wouldn't know it) puggle, Chuck, along for the ride, and they cannot wait to make friends with your fur babies! I am also more than happy to be available for pop-ins, walks, home/pet sitting, you name it! My love for animals is as old as I am. I grew up with sibling pairs of Great Danes, Shih Tzus, Rot/Lab mixes, and German Shepherds. I started caring for and riding horses at 10, helping at my Aunt Lucy's Paso Fino ranch, eventually riding Thoroughbreds and Arabians, learning new saddles and techniques, and volunteering my time caring/mucking for therapy horses at a nonprofit working with disabled children and adults through riding. I carried my love of animals through every stage of life. Helping people and caring for dogs, cats, horses, birds, homes, and the odd niece/nephew (easy when there are 32 of them) have been my life's constant joy. I am lucky to be able to work remotely as an independent contractor; this gives me flexibility throughout the day. I am able to provide near constant supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. Your fur baby will never be left alone for long periods, and I can easily adapt to their usual daily needs such as feeding and walking schedule. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly resident pets: Chuck, our spry 15-year-old puggle who enjoys helping out in the garden, bunny hopping in the yard, hard-core cuddle sessions, and playing with his brother Goose (the cat), who likes dogs but also has plenty of high up hiding space, inaccessible to furry visitors. I ensure a safe, balanced environment by supervising all pet interactions closely. My home offers a structured routine, plenty of open space to play, and I can easily crate your dog if needed for bedtime or safety.

About: We are a loving, caring, responsible and reliable family who would love the opportunity to help you with your fur babies. Friends, family, and neighbors have entrusted their dogs (and children as I have nannied for two families full-time and babysat for countless families) to us and we would love to do that for you too. We know how hard it can be to leave a dog but look forward to the opportunity to make you and your dog feel at ease. We live walking distance to two parks and love taking walks. My littles also have a love for animals and are excited for this opportunity as well. Can’t wait to hear from you and help. We are fortunate for me to be able to be home with our two littles, so I am free to hang out with your doggies any day of the week. We have a fenced backyard with a sweet neighbor dog just over our shared fence to keep your pup company. But mostly, we are home full-time and will have ample time to give lots of attention to your doggie. A little about our little family: If you were to be a fly on the wall of our lives, you would find my oldest painting, coloring, playing "dog and baby," swinging on the swing, or playing with the water table. You would find my youngest in a wrap, giggling at her sister, cuddled up on the couch, or alert in the stroller as she discovers the world around her. You would find me prepping food, doing laundry, getting outdoors, and creating warmth in our home with my sweet husband.
“Jennifer and David are very accommodating and caring. Our dog Bodhi was a little anxious that night (not his normal self) and they gave him the attention he needed.”

“Jane and Peter took great care of my dog. She felt right at home and had a wonderful time with them! They sent photos and gave me an update about what went well which was very helpful.”

“Emily is truly amazing and her 3 dogs are absolutely amazing. She took such good care of my boy Oreo and he actually is best friends now with her dog Reese. For a first time mom she relieved my anxiety and worry about him. She sent me updates and pictures and has been such a blessing in our lives. If you are looking for a dog sitter she is DEFINITELY the one to go to.”

“Incredibly easy to coordinate with, and flexible with my changing plans. I was happy to hear Wilson had company during his stay and enjoyed getting a picture of him out on a walk with Irene. Would book again!”

“Micaela has been wonderful to work with! Murphy absolutely loves going over and I feel extremely comfortable leaving her in Micaela’s care. She is easily reached if needed and provides updates during the day.”

“He was great with my dog. I have a hard time trusting people with him because he’s such a high energy handful, and there were no issues. I will definitely feel comfortable leaving my doggo with him in the future.”

About: I had my own dog growing up that I was responsible for. Since moving out from my parent's home, I've cared for other family and friends dogs. I'm a new momma and looking to get myself out of the house, taking my little ones on adventures. I love walking and love dogs, and want my kids to be comfortable around dogs Since beginning this endeavor, it has helped both my kids to love dogs as well. We began a new adventure of dog fostering and are in the process of adopting him, so if needing boarding, it is important for a meet and greet to make sure the dogs get along. I would need to use your supplies-dog toys, treats, leashes, etc. But your dog would get their exercise/play time done during the day with me.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
