“Brooke was amazing with our dog Coco! Brooke was extremely patient a Coco is a puppy and she came home so tired both days! I would definitely recommend Brooke to care for your fur babies if you ever need her!”

About: Hi, I'm Mandy. Although I am new to using the Rover App, I am not new to caring for dogs. I grew up on a farm and lived with dogs all my life (lab, rat terriers, blue heeler, multiple mixed breeds). I currently have two playful poodle mixes (Cookie & Nacho) and before them, I had a French Bulldog (Prince) for 14 happy years. I love all kinds of dogs. Due to the setting I offer, small to medium sized dogs will enjoy it here the best. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate special requests for boarding with enough advanced notice. I work from home, and I am home on most weekends. With two small dogs of my own, I will be around for feeding and potty breaks, and of course, play! I also have two kids (ages 6 & 11) that like to help and play. It's a very "PawSitive Vibes" environment around here ☺️. The yard area has plenty of shade, space to relax, run or play and is fully enclosed with a tall wood fence. Dogs that stay will be allowed to roam free inside my home along with the two dogs that I have. If your dog has any special care needs, just let me know how I can accommodate. My home has all hard floors so if an accident happens, I don't get worried about that. 🙌 My 2 dogs are up to date on all typical, vet recommended vaccinations, for everyone's health and safety. This is just a friendly reminder to all of my current and future clients: While I do my best to keep a clean and pest free space, I also count on my clients to help with that effort by keeping vaccinations current for their pets too. These include: vaccines for rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough), and DHPP (which protects against distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus).
“Sarah is THE BEST dog sitter! Kind, considerate, detail oriented, great communicator. She took care of my pup Piper during the day for a few days while I was in town to watch a volleyball tournament, and I couldn't be happier with how it worked out. I really appreciated the status update text messages that Sarah sent from time to time, and it was abundantly clear from the pics she shared that Piper was totally comfortable and really enjoying her time there. Also -- a big shout out to Sarah's pup, Sully, for sharing his home and his mom with Piper for a few days! He was a great host and he & Piper got along very well. I would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat if/when we visit Spokane again!”

“Lance boarded my two dogs for one day. Sent pictures during the stay, which I really appreciated. Took them on walks, which I didn't expect him to. I was nervous at first because one of my dogs have high anxiety, and he did so well with them! I will use his services again!”

About: Every dog that visits us here at Green Bluff Pastures absolutely loves it—and it shows! They run straight to the gate with tails wagging, eager for another day of freedom, fun, and friendship. This isn’t a place with crates or cages—it’s a farm where dogs get to be dogs. We’re located on peaceful open land in Colbert, with a large, fully fenced play area where pups can roam, explore, and just enjoy being outside. “Lynda is just wonderful. So flexible, responsible and communicative. We have a high energy puppy, and Lynda always cares for her so well. Lynda is our go to for doggy day care for our pup. Would highly recommend!”

“Mandie is an absolute gem. My pup had never been away from me for long stretches but I recently needed a sitter quick for new in office days. Winston has so much fun while he’s there and comes home literally exhausted! And he’s not even super bummed when I drop him off. Mandie is now my go-to and I am so grateful to have found her!”

About: My husband and I have both been taking care of dogs our whole lives, growing up with them in our homes and dog sitting for friends and family. We currently have two dogs of our own who love to play & make friends! Our schedules allow for the dogs to get lots of attention, love, and care throughout the day. We are eager to meet you & your pup! Both my schedule & my husband schedule allow for thorough attention and care for our dogs. My husband works from home and is with the dogs around the clock. I work 4 days a week, with evenings and weekends off. We have a fully fenced backyard, and friendly dogs to keep your dog company! We can crate your dog if needed or requested as well.
About: Hi! I’m Sabrina, I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. We’ve currently got a 3 year old 50 lb mix breed female dog named Maple who loves to meet dog friends and play. Also have 2 cats in the home who don’t mind dogs as long your dog(s) won’t go after them. I’m home most of the day and your dog(s) would be able to play with Maple, nap on our couches and chill with our family until you get back! I’m home most of the time, so your dog won’t be left alone. My daily routine includes exercising my dog in our backyard daily so your dog can join in fetch or fun sniffing or doggy chase, or whatever they want! We have a large fenced backyard, and a sweet female dog to keep yours company. I’m home most of the day, so your pup won’t be left alone.

About: We are a loving, caring, responsible and reliable family who would love the opportunity to help you with your fur babies. Friends, family, and neighbors have entrusted their dogs (and children as I have nannied for two families full-time and babysat for countless families) to us and we would love to do that for you too. We know how hard it can be to leave a dog but look forward to the opportunity to make you and your dog feel at ease. We live walking distance to two parks and love taking walks. My littles also have a love for animals and are excited for this opportunity as well. Can’t wait to hear from you and help. We are fortunate for me to be able to be home with our two littles, so I am free to hang out with your doggies any day of the week. We have a fenced backyard with a sweet neighbor dog just over our shared fence to keep your pup company. But mostly, we are home full-time and will have ample time to give lots of attention to your doggie. A little about our little family: If you were to be a fly on the wall of our lives, you would find my oldest painting, coloring, playing "dog and baby," swinging on the swing, or playing with the water table. You would find my youngest in a wrap, giggling at her sister, cuddled up on the couch, or alert in the stroller as she discovers the world around her. You would find me prepping food, doing laundry, getting outdoors, and creating warmth in our home with my sweet husband.
“We are so happy with the care Figgy received. This was the first time we have left her after adopting her after her previous owners had returned her to a shelter after having her 8 months. Jennifer was so caring to both Figgy and us knowing our absence might be extra stressful on Figgy. Figgy was happy to see us at the end of the day but had obviously loved and trusted Jennifer and showed her affection for her. Their home and yard are secure and very dog friendly with lots of play opportunities but also places to rest and feel secure. We highly recommend them for your dog sitting needs.”

“Our babysitter John was great. We went through wags for a sitter and it was a very bad experience so we got onto Rover and we were already out of town when people kept canceling on us in the middle of the city so we got on Rover. Sitter he was great and even was willing to pick our dog up and drop them off. Definitely will use him again.”
“I have had Jamie do pet sitting for my cat and my dog and she always does a fantastic job. She is so thoughtful and sends many adorable pictures while she takes care of my pets. I really appreciate her!”

“Micaela has been wonderful to work with! Murphy absolutely loves going over and I feel extremely comfortable leaving her in Micaela’s care. She is easily reached if needed and provides updates during the day.”

About: After saying goodbye to my best friend a year and a half ago, I’m not quite ready to bring a new dog of my own home yet. However, I truly miss the companionship and the joy that dogs bring to daily life. Joining Rover is my way of getting back into the "dog world"—offering your pets the same dedicated love, patience, and attention I gave my own for over a decade. What I Offer: • Senior Care Knowledge: Having cared for a dog through his final years, I am very comfortable with senior pups and slow walks. Don’t think I don’t love puppies too! • A "Dogs-First" Home: Since I don't currently have a pet, your dog will be the "only child" and get 100% of my attention. • Lifelong Intuition: I understand that every dog has a unique personality, from high-energy athletes to professional couch potatoes. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. My home office is "dog-friendly," and I love having a furry coworker at my feet (or on the sofa!) throughout the day. What a day with me looks like: • Constant Supervision: Because I’m at my desk, I can offer frequent potty breaks and immediate attention whenever your pup needs it. • Structured Breaks: I use my lunch and mid-afternoon breaks for neighborhood walks, games of fetch, or just some quality backyard time. • Active "Face Time": I don't just sit in another room; I enjoy the companionship of dogs while I work. Whether your dog prefers to nap quietly nearby or needs occasional head scratches between my meetings, I’m here for it. • Flexible Needs: If your dog has a specific medication or feeding schedule that requires midday attention, my WFH setup makes that easy to accommodate. My home is a quiet, hazard-free sanctuary designed for stress-free stays. • Safety First: No other pets or children in the home—perfect for anxious or selective dogs. • Open Communication: Expect frequent "pupdates" and photos throughout the day. • Expert Handling: I am comfortable with senior care, medication, and following strict house rules.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Country Homes commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 307 sitters in Country Homes, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
