About: I won't just treat them as a "pet" I treat all animals as family. I have taken care of various dog and cats from family members and friends since I was a child. This included staying over, walking, feeding, training and playing. At the moment I am pursuing schooling for dog training so I have open availability for walks and drop ins! I usually ask for a days notice but it never hurts to ask. I have had experience with larger dogs (German shepherds, Great Pyerenese, Pitbulls and Saint Bernards) as well as small dogs (Chihuahua's, Shih Tzu and Dachshunds). I also provide baths and nail trimming when asked. I enjoy running too so if your looking to get your dog in shape! For pets coming to my house they must be crate trained (for when I sleep) and friendly with other dogs.

We brought our tuxedo cat, Benedict Mongoose "Goose" Cumberbatch, and our 15-year-old (but you wouldn't know it) puggle, Chuck, along for the ride, and they cannot wait to make friends with your fur babies!! My love for animals is as old as I am. I grew up with sibling pairs of Great Danes, Shih Tzus, Rot/Lab mixes, and German Shepherds. I started caring for and riding horses at 10, helping at my Aunt Lucy's Paso Fino ranch, eventually riding Thoroughbreds and Arabians, learning new saddles and techniques, and volunteering my time caring/mucking for therapy horses at a nonprofit working with disabled children and adults through riding. I carried my love of animals through every stage of life. But I also know how stressful it can be to travel without (or with) our furry friends so my goal, no matter the situation, is to remove as much of that stress from both you and your pets so that you can focus on the big stuff. About: I’ve had dogs around me my whole life; from active labs to precocious cocker spaniels to mutts with needs, I’m happy to provide the care your pets need while you’re away. I’m flexible with all play styles and feeding habits, all while staying firm against begging for food we can’t have and keeping a close eye on problem behaviors such as digging or pillow ripping. I love all kinds of dogs, from hyperactive to couch potatoes, malamutes to chihuahuas, puppies to senior dogs. I’ll be sure to keep your fluffy friends entertained and well kept while you’re away! As for walking, I always strive to make sure your four legged friend has their share of exercise and fresh air. My time is currently open to weekdays from 6 am to 11 pm. I’m happy to check on your pets multiple times a day to keep up with their schedules, and am happy to follow plans as needed. I do my best to follow any instructions provided for your pet. I’m happy to play, take pets outside into yards or for walks in the neighborhood to get their energy out, feed them on their schedules, and visit multiple times a day to keep your pet happy and entertained. I have a preference for crate trained dogs, but for those more well-behaved, I have no qualms. As for cats, I’m happy to keep quiet and leave them to their own pace, letting myself be available to them while not invading their space.

“Julia was amazing! We were leaving town for a two-week trip over the holidays and had had some bad experiences with a local dog boarding facility in Spokane. We were worried about finding a good place for our sweet golden and we were thrilled to have found Rover and Julia! Her sweet dog Hachi was such a fun dog buddy for our dog to play with, and she and her family were so kind and loving with him while we were gone. He had a bath, his nails trimmed, went on walks, and played outside often. They even got him Christmas presents!
