Taylor continues to impress with her attention to detail, addressing and taking care of small issues that aren’t specifically defined as her responsibility, but it’s something that should be done. She just does it. She also does a great job taking care of issues unique to my cat due to his past medical issues. It’s great knowing I can rely on her.

Mika is very thoughtful in providing updates and pictures throughout our vacation. She was kind and considerate to ask questions about our pet's individual needs and quirks during our meet 'n greet which left me totally assured she is the right person for the job! I will definitely use Mika again for future needs and would recommend her for anyone needing quality care for their pets.

Brooke did a great job with our three large dogs. We did the in home service, twice a day (am and pm), an hour each time (so 2-hours). She sent us photos and how they were doing. Our dogs liked staying home although the Shepard seemed to miss his friends at the boarding facility (lol). This was easier on us and Brooke gave them lots of attention and they got to run and walked twice a day. She fed, picked up poop, cuddled and let them run on our property. Highly recommend.

About: 🐾 Hi, I'm Jasmine! I'm a Spokane local, mom, and lifelong animal lover who understands that pets are family. I provide dependable, loving care and treat every pet as if they were my own. I offer: • Dog walking • Drop-in visits • Overnight pet sitting • Feeding and fresh water • Medication administration (if needed) • Plenty of playtime, cuddles, and companionship • Photo and update check-ins so you can have peace of mind while you're away I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I'm comfortable following specific routines and instructions to keep your pet happy and comfortable. As someone who values communication and reliability, you can count on me to show up on time, provide regular updates, and give your furry family members the love and attention they deserve. Whether you're heading out of town, working long hours, or just need an extra helping hand, I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets! 🐾 Reliable ❤️ Compassionate 📸 Daily Updates 🏡 Serving Spokane and surrounding areas Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. As a mom, I'm already used to having a structured schedule, which makes it easy for me to prioritize feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I have a flexible schedule and can provide morning, afternoon, and evening care depending on your pet's needs. I love being active outdoors, so walks and playtime are something I truly enjoy. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, and I'm happy to follow their usual routines to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. Providing updates and photos is also something I enjoy so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for. I believe every pet deserves to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their family is away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my client's home or my own, I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and needs. In a client's home, I follow their feeding schedule, provide fresh water, take dogs for walks, clean up after pets, administer medications if needed, and make sure they receive plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. I also send regular photo and text updates so owners have peace of mind. I understand that every pet is different—some love to play and be active, while others prefer a calm environment and extra cuddles. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while you're away.

Natalee took care of my cats over 8 days. She was conscientious about getting to them after her flight home was delayed and during a storm. It would have been good to learn about the delay without asking, but with airline issues, I don't think she knew sooner. Thanks for all your help, Natalee!

Katelyn took great care of our pups when we were away at a wedding for the weekend. I was initially worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a sitter who would work well with our older dog, who is quite anxious and reactive, but he took very well to her during the meet-and-greet and they got along great! She also put us at ease with regular detailed reports along with photos and videos to let us know our babies were safe and happy. I would definitely recommend Katelyn for pet sitting, and have already re-booked her for our next trip out of town.

About: I love to spoil our fur babies and just feel so bad to leave them alone. I’ve trained all three of our dogs plus two who lived to 16 years and have passed. We love our boys just like our kids, they are such a big part of our family. I am semi retired and live on 9 acres where I love to walk the dogs and allow them to play freely. I have balls, frisbees, sand dig spots, just about anything your pet might enjoy. I have plenty of space. Some dogs like to cuddle up and sleep in my room and some are more comfortable on the couch and some prefer their kennel but i give them a choice so they have a good nights rest.

About: I have grown up around pets, and have lots of experience pet sitting for both dogs, cats, and even farm animals, and dog walking for others as well. I have worked with dogs and cats off all ages, sizes, and needs, including behaviorally challenging, disabled, and medically complex ones who require a little extra care. Pet care has always been a part of my daily routine since I remember. I grew up with dogs, and latter have had cats as well, and I love them all! I enjoy every part of that routine, from daily tasks like feeding, walking, meditation administration, and play to bigger activities like bath time, big hikes, and puppy play dates. In my clients home and out on walks, I will prioritize following all rules and standard the client has set, because I know everyone has different expectations and rules regarding their pets. For example, if a client shares that their dog does not get along with other dogs, I would make sure that during a walk we maintained safe distances away from others.

About: I have grown up with pets my whole life, including dogs and cats. I am passionate about animals and currently a cat mom myself! I am looking for opportunities to make money caring for others’ pets. I work weekdays from 7-4pm. I am looking for opportunities for care primarily on the weekends, but can also take evening check-ins or walks during the week. I work in education, so I’ll be looking into picking up longer jobs over winter and summer breaks. I can do whatever makes you and your pets most comfortable. I’m happy to take them on walks, play with them for hours, and stay the night in your home if desired.

This is first time I've ever used a dog sitter, I was a little nervous my dog wouldn't respond well as he's so attached to me and doesn't like it when I'm gone. But Emily put my mind at ease both during our meet & greet and when she did check in. Getting pics really comforted me & assured me my dog was in good hands. I will definitely use Emily again!!

About: I got my first dog when I was 18, a large lab named Bogey, and I immediately took on full responsibility for his care and training. From that point on, I managed his daily needs, structure, and behavior while also navigating college life. That experience taught me consistency, patience, and how to stay attuned to an animal’s cues, energy, and emotional needs in a real-world, hands-on way. Growing up, I also had a cat, which helped shape my comfort and understanding of different animal temperaments and communication styles. I’ve always loved cats and still hope to have one again in the future, but I’m waiting for the right time. In the meantime, not having a cat of my own actually allows me to fully enjoy time with other people’s pets and be more present with them. I’m very comfortable caring for animals of different sizes and personalities, especially big dogs, and I naturally take on a calm, attentive, and responsible role in their care. I also find that my ability to stay grounded, patient, and observant translates well into understanding both animal behavior and human behavior. I’m highly attuned to animals’ needs and take pride in creating a safe, stable, and caring environment for them I work full time from 7:30am–3:30pm, with flexibility before and after work to give pets attention, care, and consistency throughout the evening. I already build daily walks into my routine and would genuinely love having a dog join me, since it fits naturally into my lifestyle. Outside of work hours, I’m very present and attentive, and weekends are fully open, which allows for extended time, activity, and stability in care. I also have prior experience watching dogs for neighbors, family, and friends, and I’m comfortable with all breeds and sizes. I’m confident in my ability to adjust to each animal’s needs and provide consistent, reliable care. I’m comfortable caring for pets in either my home or a client’s home depending on what best meets the pet’s needs. I am comfortable housing a cat in my home, as it is a safe and stable environment for them. However, I would be cautious about boarding a dog in my home at this time due to my fence needing repairs. For dogs, I am fully open to staying in the client’s home or visiting consistently throughout the day to ensure reliable care, routine, and attention. I prioritize maintaining the pet’s normal environment and schedule, and I am flexible in adjusting my care approach to provide consistency, exercise, feeding, and companionship as needed.

I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring for signs of illness or injury, and providing compassionate, attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, you can feel confident knowing they’re in experienced hands. Taylor was absolutely incredible! This was my first time leaving my cat alone for more than one night since adopting her and I was a little anxious about it. Taylor asked lots of thorough questions before I left, and during my trip they were so communicative and kind, sending me detailed notes and lots of photos every single visit. They even went the extra mile and offered to water my plants while I was away, which was very thoughtful. When I got home my kitty seemed very happy and at ease. 10 out of 10!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Colbert. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
