“In short, Taylor is excellent. My cat “Mouse” has some minor medical issues. He requires meds to be given with food, and has some related issues that need specific responses. I gave the basics of his needs in my profile, and then gave more details verbally to Taylor before she took care of him for a few days. During our conversation before care started, she was taking notes, then went over them with me to ensure her notes were accurate. During her time taking care of Mouse, she provided very detailed notes and pictures from her visits. It was clear that she followed my instructions explicitly. She mentioned some things that happened during her visits due to his medical issues, and noted how she responded. It was very comforting to know that she responded correctly, per my instructions, and kept me up to date on how he was doing. It’s clear that she cares about the animals that she takes care of, and knows how to earn their trust. She didn’t push or force herself on Mouse, she gently let him check her out and accept her presence before proceeding to interact more with him. When she interacted with him, she was very perceptive in learning what he likes and doesn’t like. Mouse clearly enjoyed his time with her. Finally, it’s a little scary letting someone you don’t know in to your life and house to take care of your pet. My daughter couldn’t visit as often as needed, and really wanted me to find other friends who could visit Mouse. That’s easier said than done, especially because I travel a lot. After seeing the visit notes and pictures that Taylor provided, Taylor won my daughter over. She could clearly see how well Taylor was taking care of Mouse, and said Taylor took better care of Mouse than she did. I can’t give higher praise than that. I’m looking forward to future trips with Taylor taking care of Mouse.”

About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue for about 2 years and I have a puppy who I trained and have cared for in the past year. I also have had cats all my life and have fostered pregnant kitties until their kittens were old enough to be adopted. I am currently at home most days, so long as I have some advanced notice I should be able to make anything work. The more time I have the more likely I am to be able to fit you in. I have a wide variety of leashes, dog toys, treats, and other supplies that I can use when working with your pets or I can work with their existing favorites if that is what is prefered. About: I have had many opportunities to pet-sit for family and friends. I have had experience administering medication, taking dogs on walks, feeding small newborn puppies, doing check-ins, and having long overnight stays at others' houses. I have looked after dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs over the last ten years or so. I'm currently working and/or in class Monday through Thursday in the early afternoon from 10:30am to 12:30pm and Mondays and Tuesdays from 4 to 8pm. I am available any other time to come check in on pets! I have two dogs in my house at the moment. I have a Corgi named Sanji and a dachshund-beagle mix named Kiba. My dogs are mostly cared for by my parents when I am out of the house, but I will feed them, refill their water bowls, and take them on walks in the morning and evening.
