About: I have taken care of pets since I was a child, love dogs, cats, chickens , cows, horses, you name it! Will definitely give your family member love and care while you are away, whether at my house or yours! Currently not working elsewhere, our little ranch is busy. We have Dogs, Kitty's, chickens and fish in our little water feature,so am available to spend lots of time with your family member! I have a kennel available and my dogs and cats are wonderful! Obviously,we will talk about leash walking as we free range our chickens and would never set someone's family member up for failure by putting any animal around things they are unfamiliar with. I am equipped to deal with situations if any of the animals ever seem uncomfortable! Also have a new smaller fenced area!
“Our dog, Roscoe, had a great stay with Crystal and Michael! Crystal was very communicative and sent photos and videos. I was particularly encouraged because Roscoe has tended to have stress colitis when boarded which caused diarrhea. His stomach was FINE with Crystal which tells me he wasn’t stressed and he seemed genuinely happy. I will definitely book with them in the future.”

“Lance did a great job taking care of our two dogs. He provided daily updates, which we really appreciated, and the dogs seemed happy and comfortable during their stay. Would recommend and will use again.”

“Monika was an excellent host for our energetic pup. He had lots of friends to play with in a controlled environment. Monika's home and yard were tidy and welcoming and she kept good order with the dogs. We received daily updates and pictures, which were very reassuring. I would highly recommend her!”

“Wow!! Summer and her family were absolutely perfect. They cared for our sweet girl as if she was their own. Summer was meticulous about making sure Winnie’s care was the same as what she gets at home. Winnie really enjoyed her time. We definitely found our second home for Winnie. Thank you Summer and family”

“Our pup LOVES going to Cheryl’s. Cheryl is always so relaxed and always seems to have a good group of dogs. I never have to worry and my pup always comes home tired. We feel so fortunate to have found her!”

“Amanda was fantastic! Lucy was very well taken care of and we received picture texts while we were away for the Thanksgiving weekend. She had Amanda’s dog Tibbers to play with and they went for a walk when weather permitted. We will definitely use Amanda again!”

“Manny and Stefan were great! They spend lots of time with the dogs, letting them run around all day. Super flexible in accommodations, and plenty of chickens and cows for the dogs to observe. Will be booking with them again.”

“I always know Sven is happy here. Last time I picked him up, he greeted me and then went back to play with his friend Fred . And that is saying something, cuz Sven does not make friends easily.”

“Rosangella and her husband were completely wonderful. Great people and they were amazing about taking care of my pup and handling whatever came their way. Thank you!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
