About: I’ve had 2 shihtzus since they were 8 weeks old. Have lost both within the last 2 years at ages 15 and 17. Me and hubby enjoyed them and we miss them terribly. I love strolls around the block and playtime. Serious lap time and undivided attention is awaiting your special fur baby, as I am retired and at home full time. Each year I go to Utah to dog sit for my middle son for 2 weeks while they vacation. They’ve had a Rottweiler, Berniedoodle and Yorkies. The big guys loved TAKING ME on daily walks around their local park. I always took my 2 shihtzus swimming every time we went boating. Perfect day in my opinion!!! I am retired and available most of the time. Short trips to the grocery store or other errands are basically the only time I leave. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room inside and outside. Special diets or medications are not a problem. I liked to wash my dogs faces after mealtimes. They can sleep in my bed, or not. Your preference.

About: I have had animals since I was a little girl and I’ve always had at least one dog for my whole life— until I lost my last sweet frenchie to Cancer in May 2026. My dogs are like children to me and I understand just how hard it is to find someone I can trust to watch them if I need to be out of town. If you have unique scheduling needs, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. I am a neat freak with a dog who sheds and drools uncontrollably. It’s work! But it’s so worth it. I understand the unique needs of others. As a special education teacher, I apply the same behavior principals to my animals. They need to earn your trust and can take time to do so. Ashley gave me daily updates and pictures and videos! The day of pick up was also chaos for us and she was more than willing to be flexible and understanding in Order for us to pick up our Luna.
