“Ashley was amazing! She sent multiple pictures throughout the day of Lou cuddling, walking, napping, and all. She gave daily updates, was flexible with pickup and drop off times as we communicated. She sent Lou home with a goody-bag and invited her back. I could tell Lou felt loved and comfortable while we were away. I will definitely be calling on Ashley again!”

“This was the first time that we had left Wilda for overnight. Lindsay and Leland made us feel comfortable and confident that managing an energetic 10 month old puppy was no problem. We are so happy that we have found such great caregivers for Wilda!”

“This was our first time ever using Rover, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! They took such incredible care of our dog and truly treated her like one of their own. It was obvious she felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for the entire time she was there. She got along so well with their dog, and they played hard every single day, which made us so happy to see. We also really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and communication while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their dog. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again!”

“Kara did an excellent job caring for our dog and took care of him as if he was her own dog. She was willing and able to keep his general daily routine which kept him comfortable, happy and healthy. She was attentive to his needs and sent regular updates with photos. Kara is a wonderful and loving sitter and I highly recommend her.”

“We needed care for our sweet coonhound while we skied Schweitzer for 3 days. Wendy took excellent care of our pup. He slept in her home and got lots of pets and affection. She made sure he had his seizure meds every am and pm. We are so grateful!”

“This was the first time our 8 year old lab had been boarded. We were all a little nervous. However, Lily settled right in. Carolyn and Sarah were so welcoming and took such good care of her and gave her so many snuggles she seemed reluctant to leave. They reassured us by sending regular updates and pictures. I also appreciated their flexibility when our plans and dayes had to be tweaked. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend them.?”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter and Sherin made it a wonderful experience by communicating promptly and sending pictures of the dogs. I can tell they had fun and were in great hands!”

“My dog Artie is in a very good mood after staying with Travis and his family in their cozy house. He also looks pretty happy on all the nice pictures shared by Travis and, certainly, would love to visit his new friends again. I fully share Artie's feelings and strongly recommend to anyone looking for a great dog care opportunity to get in touch with Travis.”

“This was the first time we left our puppy Oakley and we were so nervous! Tammy put us right at ease from the beginning and she was so accommodating to Oakley’s needs. She was great to send messages and pictures daily of the things going on each day. Thanks Tammy for taking great care of our pup!”

About: I've worked with many breeds of dogs. Mostly small to mid-size dogs with a variety of traits. Mostly working dogs namely Blue Heelers & Huskys. I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. I work with neighbors and friends pets on quite a regular basis! I regularly feed, train, walk & care for pets when away or on business! “Shaunett is beyond AMAZING!!! This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs with someone they didn’t really know for the first time. Our Pomeranian is my shadow and I was worried he would be stressed. Shaunett took excellent care of both our boys while we were gone. I would recommend her 1 million times. Your pets are in phenomenal care with her! You can tell she loves dogs and cares so much for their well-being while they are “vacationing” with her.”

“Our dog recently spent a week with Crystal and her family, where Gus was well cared for, walked regularly, and was able to play with other dogs. Crystal was great to work with and very responsive along the entire way. Thank you!”

About: I have hands-on experience with high-energy dogs and know how to keep them happy, exercised, and mentally engaged. I’m patient and attentive, with a gentle approach that works well for both playful pups and older dogs who need a little extra care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. As a veteran Marine and someone who has competitively trained dogs since 2020, I approach pet care with structure, consistency, and discipline. I make sure pets are cared for with structure, safety, and attention to detail. I follow consistent feeding schedules, provide exercise and play tailored to each pet’s needs, and keep their environment clean and comfortable. With my background in competitive dog training, I also incorporate positive reinforcement and mental stimulation to ensure pets are not only well cared for but also engaged and happy.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hayden
Audrie and Martin were fantastic dog sitters. This was the longest we've ever been away from our dog, and they made us feel completely at ease by keeping us updated on how he was doing and sending beautiful, professional-quality photos throughout his stay. When we picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Audrie and Martin provided exceptional attention and genuine affection, and it was obvious that they truly love animals. We are so grateful for the care they gave our dog and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring pet sitters.

We can't even say enough good things about Kara. We had a medical visit and we were both so stressed about who would be able to care for our little Teddy boy who is all of 4.5 pounds and 8 months old. With that said, we found the most wonderful and best Auntie for Teddy in Kara. She sent us updates on him throughout our time away, pictures that brought such delight to us especially seeing how loved and cared for he was. When we picked Teddy up he seemed so content to just stay with his new Auntie and not come home with us, seems she was way more exciting than us lol. Teddy will definitely be taking another vacation with Aunt Kara in the near future.

Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
