I am a full-time mom to 2 young children in the home, so your pet will be able to roam free (no extended crating!) and be loved while he/she is in our home! I only take one client at a time, so your pet will have focused attention and supervision.

Your dog will have his/her own space in the laundry room for sleeping and eating. Plenty of time will be given outside in our fenced backyard for potty time, but your dog will not remain unsupervised for an extended period of time. Our home has lots of stairs outside and inside, so older dogs with mobility issues might have a harder time at our home. We have a fenced-off area where we keep quail, two cats, and a rabbit (they primarily reside in a bird run/hutch inside the fenced area). Dogs will not be able to access this area, but will have roaming privileges in the rest of the yard.

Information Amanda J. would like to know about your pet
How and when medication is administered, what kind of food your dog eats and when they eat (specific times versus grazing, etc.). It is helpful to know if they have been an escape artist in the past (if they dig under fences or squeeze through small spaces, etc.). It is also helpful to know if they have been aggressive toward children or other animals (we have a bunny, two cats, and quail in a fenced-off area of our backyard).
A typical day
My kids love to play fetch and tug-of-war and spend time with the dogs that visit our home. We are outside in the backyard whenever possible.

Pet care experience
I love dogs and have been taking care of them for over 20 years. I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 kids and we have a big fenced back yard. When we leave the house, your dog will have access to food, water, and bedding in our gated laundry room. We have a fenced-off area where we keep quail, two cats, and a rabbit (they primarily reside in a bird run/hutch inside the fenced area). Dogs will not be able to access this area, but will have roaming privileges in the rest of the yard.
Reviews

Mav loved staying with Amanda and her family. They kept him very active and made him feel very welcome in their home. She provided updates and pics of him to let us know how he was doing.

Thanks for taking great care of Mya!

We love Amanda and her family to care for our dachshund Penny! Penny receives all the love and care possible, while being in a safe and calm environment. Amanda and family are a joy and a gift!

Amanda was wonderful! She kept me informed on how my dog was doing. She even gave her a bath!! Super happy with her care!
