“Nicole took the time to really gauge what Cocoa wanted each day. Some days all she wants is to play or get belly rubs and others she wants a long walk around the neighborhood. She always sent a report on how Cocoa was and what they did and included great pictures of her playing or getting pets. I couldn't recommend Nicole enough!”

About: I have lived with animals since I was born - dogs, cats, and other animals with up to 7 in the house at a time. I currently have one dog and three cats, all who are middle aged. I have been responsible for taking care of puppies and elderly dogs, as well as cats both playful and shy. I am the go-to caretaker for all of my family and friends. I am comfortable and have experience with walking multiple dogs, giving animals medicine, playing with animals, comforting them, and providing high detailed care for both cats and dogs. I am currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I have very open availability throughout the week and tend to be available on weekends as well. I am always sure to respect the rules of your house and the way in which you want your pet(s) cared for. For my personal pets, I give different instructions for each of the four and am happy to follow the same for your animal(s), because each pet deserves their own care to get their unique needs met.
“Lucy is so wonderful and such a caring and kind sitter. She is responsive, helpful, and communicative! I felt so at ease knowing she was spending time with my pup while I was at work. She made sure he got a great walk and had plenty of water after their walk. I can’t say enough positive things about Lucy. We appreciate her so much and are so grateful we met her !!”

“Very communicative throughout the session. Cleo and i’s first time using Rover and Kieran made the experience super easy and was very patient with Cleo to ensure she was able to fully utilize her potty break & get her steps in :)”

“Alissa is an amazing dog walker. We deeply appreciate how reliable and consistent she is, and how well she manages our dog with reactivity. She always comes on time and has been mindful of the summer heat when going on walks. Alissa has been an absolute asset to our family and we are wicked lucky to have her!!”

About: Welcome! Hi! I’m Krystal—a FULL-TIME Professional Pet Sitter, Berklee College of Music graduate, and proud dog mom to my Shiba Inu, Mina. As a fellow dog parent, I know your dog isn’t just a pet—they’re family. That’s why we created Paw Retreat, a boutique home boarding experience where every guest receives personalized care, enriching adventures, and the same love and attention we’d give our own dog. Inspired by my love for both music and animals, my goal is simple: to create a calm, loving second home where every dog feels safe, understood, and genuinely excited to come back. ⸻ 🌿 What Makes Us Different At Paw Retreat, we believe boarding should feel like a vacation—not simply a place to stay. Unlike traditional boarding facilities or sitters who care for many dogs at once, we intentionally keep our group small so every guest receives individualized attention, personalized care, and a calm home environment. 🌳 More Than Just a Backyard Many boarding facilities rely primarily on a backyard for daily exercise. Our guests enjoy 3–4 potty walks every day plus two outdoor adventures to beautiful parks, large fenced grassy fields, scenic walking trails, and other dog-friendly destinations throughout Greater Boston. We believe dogs deserve opportunities to explore new environments, sniff, discover, and enjoy the world around them—not just stay in one yard all day. ⸻ 🧠 Personalized Enrichment No two dogs are the same. Rather than following one routine for every guest, we tailor each day’s activities around your dog’s: • Personality • Age • Energy level • Confidence • Exercise needs • Comfort level As we continue studying canine behavior, enrichment, and positive reinforcement, we’ve learned that mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. Every adventure is thoughtfully planned to help dogs stay confident, engaged, relaxed, and happy. ⸻ ❤️ A True Boutique Experience Because we welcome only a small number of guests at a time, every dog receives: • Plenty of one-on-one attention • Flexible daily routines • Individual play and enrichment • Quiet nap time • Cuddles and companionship • Personalized care instead of a crowded daycare environment We believe quality care comes from giving every guest the time and attention they deserve. ⸻ 🏡 A Full-Time Family Care Team Pet care isn’t a side job—it’s my full-time profession. My partner William works remotely most of the week, and my mother, who also has years of dog care experience, often helps throughout the day. This means someone is almost always home providing supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love. ⸻ 🦴 Thoughtful Extras To make every stay even more special, we also offer: • Healthy homemade treats (with owner approval) • Daily photo and video updates • Complimentary bath for long-term boarding guests • Individual feeding routines • Medication administration when needed ⸻ 🏆 Professional Qualifications Providing exceptional care means continuing to learn. I’m committed to ongoing education in canine behavior, enrichment, low-stress handling, and positive reinforcement so every dog receives the safest and highest quality care possible. My certifications include: ✔ Certified Professional Pet Sitter ✔ Fear Free Certified Professional ✔ Pet CPR & First Aid Certified ✔ Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Foundations ✔ 12+ years of hands-on dog care experience Every new course helps me better understand dogs and provide an even better experience for every guest. ⸻ 🤝 Building Long-Term Relationships Our goal isn’t simply to care for your dog during one trip. We hope to become the trusted pet sitter your family can rely on for years to come. As we get to know your dog’s personality, favorite activities, routines, and preferences, we’re able to provide an even more personalized experience with every stay. Nothing makes us happier than welcoming our returning guests back for another vacation. Pet care is my full-time career, so my daily schedule is built entirely around the dogs staying with us. Because we intentionally care for only a small number of guests, every dog receives plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, exercise, and individual attention throughout the day. William works remotely most of the week, and my mother also helps care for our guests, so someone is almost always home. This flexible schedule allows us to adjust activities based on each dog’s personality, energy level, routine, and needs. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always our highest priorities. As a Fear Free Certified Professional, I use gentle, low-stress handling techniques that help dogs feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Every guest is carefully supervised, and I pay close attention to body language, stress signals, and individual comfort levels to ensure a positive experience. Our apartment is designed to feel like a real home—not a kennel. To maintain a clean and healthy environment, we: • Use HEPA air purifiers • Wash food and water bowls after every meal • Sanitize beds, blankets, toys, and common areas using pet-safe products • Provide fresh filtered water at all times • Brush dogs when appropriate to keep coats clean and comfortable Long-term boarding guests also receive a complimentary bath before going home (with owner approval), so they return fresh, fluffy, and clean. While you’re away, you’ll receive frequent photos, videos, and updates so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having fun.
“Julie was amazing. Excellent communication and promptness. I can tell she took great care of Nellie. Provided plenty of pictures and kept me updated along the way. Would book again!”

“Julia was able to walk our dog twice over the weekend upon last minute notice. We just had a baby and needed our Maple walked, and Julia was so helpful in getting her exercised. She was mindful of the heat and our dog’s short snout and made sure to give her water and breaks in this summer weather. We’re so thankful.”

“Caitlyn is easy to communicate with and reliable. She is wonderful with my dog and really cares about him! I trust her in my home and with my fur baby and feel so good knowing when he is in her care! So grateful I found her!”
About: I have many years of experience looking after dogs having taken care of my dog Lexy since we got her 12 years ago, along with helping out with my family’s two dogs in Jordan whenever I visit. Whether it is taking them out on walks, routine feedings and medicine, or just giving them attention and playing with them, I know what it takes to look after a pet. I am currently a student at Boston University and I have a schedule that would allow me to be with pets most of the time throughout that day. I can be around for feedings, walks, and just to give them the attention they need. I live in a spacious apartment near a park in an animal friendly building. I will be able to cater to pets needs as they come.
“I can’t say enough good things about Dejah. She is responsible and communicative, very reliable, and always patient with my dog. An amazing dog walker and a great person for your animal!”

About: Hey, I’m Xavier! I love animals, and I’m lucky enough to have a flexible job that allows me the time to care for your furry friends. I’ve always loved and cared for animals. It's truly second nature to me. My last dog was a beautiful brindle pitbull mix named Coco who had an unexpected stroke, which left her back legs paralyzed. For years I did everything from changing her diaper and daily walks to aquatics, specialized dog food, and homemade meals. I take the health of animals as a priority. Animals are like our children, and we treat every pet with the individualized care we would give our own, as they deserve. My home is cleaned by 100% ALL NATURAL ingredients, so your pets will be safe from harmful chemicals. I am very familiar with supporting health conditions such as muscular complications and ear infections, and we are 100% FLEA FREE! We both work from home and are available all day for your pets. Your pet will have all the attention and love that they need! From morning jogs to administering medication, we make a schedule pertaining to your dogs specific needs. We are respectful of your property and will follow any specific instructions if given.

Nate has been a great dog walker for our dog, Sierra. He provides nice updates about the walks and it looks like Sierra is having a great time. He is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. I will be booking Nate again and I highly recommend him for your dog walking needs.

David is an excellent dog walker who I would recommend to anyone looking. He is courteous, professional and knows dogs well, and rather than just taking my dog on walks he mixes it up with fetch, dog parks and play time. He is always on time and very dependable.

Lauren was super friendly super cute, on time (annd even early!) and my dog loved her! She followed directions perfectly, made sure my dog had water spray to cool him down and freedom was very happy to see her again! Lauren has a bubbly personality that makes her especially fun to be around.. Trust 100% with my dog. Highly recommend her for your pet!

Julia was able to walk our dog twice over the weekend upon last minute notice. We just had a baby and needed our Maple walked, and Julia was so helpful in getting her exercised. She was mindful of the heat and our dog’s short snout and made sure to give her water and breaks in this summer weather. We’re so thankful.

Karley has such an enthusiasm with new dogs, my dog warmed up to her immediately on the first walk. My dog is not a “licker” but sure licked Karley in appreciation and happiness. In our our communications she was warm and very responsive and even offered help in finding someone on a day she couldn’t make it . It was a pleasure having her walk Freedom and I am extremely lucky she could do it . Most importantly , I trust her with my dog. I highly recommend her and will use her again.
