“Katrina is very responsive and so sweet! Her visits were incredibly punctual and she made sure to send me photos of both my cats each time. She is awesome!!”

“Amanda took great care of my cat, Trinnie, over 3 consecutive weekends of travel while I adjusted to life in a new city. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure Trinnie had everything she needed and was very flexible and helpful when the automatic feeder had a malfunction. Her communication was excellent across all three bookings - with special mention to the update photos she captured! I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with a pet sitter and will definitely rebook for any future trips!”

“Was great having someone as experienced as Courtney to drop in for my last trip. My cat stopped eating and Courtney was communicative and resourceful when it came to helping both him and me out. Able to flexibly change my stated plans/feeding schedules, and even call me in so I could speak to and comfort my cat. Fully recommend!”

“Jenna spent a weekend checking in on our two cats and she was fantastic with them. One of our cats can be shy with strangers, but he warmed right up to her and they had lots of play time together. Jenna’s communication was great and she catered to our cats’ personalities and needs.”

“Kristina did such a great job watching over my two cats! She left me a lot of photos and commentary each visit and it was great to see and hear how they were doing (and a lot more extensively than usual). They were clearly getting a good amount of play time each day and seemed well settled when I got back. I also left her very long instructions with some facts buried (like one cat stops grooming when I’m gone a long time) and she followed up on those points to make sure I knew she was looking out for them. Thank you so much Kristina! Will be booking again!”

“Ashley was amazing and took great care of my two cats. They were excited to see her each day. Responsive, professional, great photos. Would book again and recommend to others!”

“Eva was just fantastic! She communicated regularly and took wonderful care of my cats, who warmed right up to her. Eva was also extremely friendly and seemed genuinely happy to spend time with the kitties. We would love to have her back!”

“Jessica is AMAZING! She took great care of my precious kitties and sent pictures so that I would not miss them as much. I am so grateful to be able to travel and not have to worry about my fur babies!”
“Dejah was super good with my cats!! They all came out, even my skittish one was out and about and would be there for each meal time. There were a few mistakes with feeding dog food one visit, however, it was a super last minute booking and Dejah was very open to feedback and totally flexible and in the end it did not impact my cats at all. Dejah was super open to the odd things we do for our cats too like feeding them wet/dry together sometimes and adding chicken hearts to dinner. The weekend went off without a hitch. Dejah fed them and did the litter! I am súper appreciative and thankful. I cannot thank them enough for being so available last minute and flexible!”

About: I've been caring for my family’s various dogs since I was in middle school. Additionally, I have cared for friends and neighbors cats and dogs while they have been away for either the day or the week. My partner and both have hybrid work schedules so there is always someone home to take dogs out for a walk or to the park. Despite the fact that we don't have a yard, we live across the street from a great dog park with areas for both small and big dogs. Additionally, and for those dogs who don't get along well with others, there are lots of walkings paths near us that are great! I have the biggest heart for animals and always, always, always care for pets that I'm caring for as if they are Louie or Duke (my parents' incredibly cute dogs whom I grew up with).
“Shuhua is kind and very professional. Hermes ( my little Yorkie) was very happy with her. She is trust worthy and is a great communicator. I am sure Hermes is missing her companion ship. I will recommend her without any hesitancy. Thank you Sue.”

About: My mother is a dog trainer and boarder, so I have helped take care of dogs and cats ever since I was very young. Growing up on a farm, I have experience caring for all kinds of animals, so I am very equipped to handle your pets and keep them healthy:) I am currently a student with a very flexible schedule, and am able to stop by for visits throughout the day, or do over-night stays close to my school. I am flexible and accomodating, and will follow whatever routine/instructions you give me to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible when you are away!
About: I grew up with dogs and trained my yorkie from puppyhood, so I understand how to build good habits and create a calm, friendly environment for dogs. With a background in animal science and behavioral neuroscience. I’m patient and attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs. also lots of play and walk! I can only care for dogs under 25lbs due to my apartment size, my own dog’s size, and my physique. This is to ensure your baby has enough room to play and safe to walk around with me. I am working remotely on Wednesday and Friday. My work is flexible and usually very chill on these days. I bring my own dog to dog parks and meet his dog friends throughout the day during these two days. On weekends, i bring my own dog to nearby big parks, hiking trails, beaches, and lake and I will make sure to do that with your dog too. Playtime guaranteed! I live in a small apartment in a large complex with a courtyard and rooftop green spaces, and I’m also close to two neighborhood parks and a fenced dog park where I take my own dog—a friendly 4-year-old Yorkie—every day. Dogs staying with me get regular walks, attention, and a calm environment; they’re welcome to sleep on the bed if they like, but I’m also completely comfortable following crate routines if that’s what they’re used to. I have worked with animals in the past and have experience in administering medications orally or through sub-q/ip injections.

In my home, I have stairs if an animal needs assistance getting on the bed or couch and have a crate that comfortably fits medium sized dogs or smaller.
“Rebecca took such good care of our doggo 🥰 We just moved in from out of town and were worried about finding someone that could watch our shy dog when we’re out. We haven’t seen our dog warm up to someone so quick!! He came back super calm and happy 😊!! Rebecca was great at giving us updates, we felt so at ease while we were out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from Louie too 🐾”

About: I have many years of experience looking after dogs having taken care of my dog Lexy since we got her 12 years ago, along with helping out with my family’s two dogs in Jordan whenever I visit. Whether it is taking them out on walks, routine feedings and medicine, or just giving them attention and playing with them, I know what it takes to look after a pet. I am currently a student at Boston University and I have a schedule that would allow me to be with pets most of the time throughout that day. I can be around for feedings, walks, and just to give them the attention they need. I live in a spacious apartment near a park in an animal friendly building. I will be able to cater to pets needs as they come.
“Brendan was the best! Super easy to schedule with, very communicative and gave our large and energetic doodle lots of exercise! Highly recommend”

About: I grew up around dogs my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature to me. My family has had multiple dogs over the years, including both hunting dogs and companion pets, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. From daily walks and playtime to feeding and basic care, I understand the responsibility that comes with looking after someone’s pet. I treat every dog like they’re part of the family and always aim to make sure they feel safe, exercised, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m currently a second-year medical student at Boston University with dedicated class time in the mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This schedule gives me flexibility during the afternoons and evenings, making it a great time for dog walks, drop-in visits, or pet care while you’re at work or away for the day. I enjoy getting outside and staying active, and walking dogs is the perfect way to do that while helping make sure your pet gets the exercise and attention they need. I currently don’t offer boarding in my own home, but I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their home where they feel most relaxed and secure. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and am very attentive to their behavior and body language, so I can usually tell when they’re hungry, need to go outside, or just want some attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and stick to their normal routine as much as possible. I treat every pet with patience and care so they feel happy and well looked after while you’re away.
About: Hi! I’m Krystal- Full time Professional Pet Sitter, Berklee College of Music graduate, and proud dog mom to my Shiba Inu, Mina. As a fellow dog parent, I know your dog isn’t just a pet—they’re family. That’s why we created Paw Retreat, a boutique home-boarding experience where every guest receives personalized care, enriching adventures, and the same love and attention we would give our own dog. Inspired by my love for both music and animals, my goal is simple: to create a calm, loving second home where every dog feels safe, understood, comfortable, and genuinely excited to come back. ⸻ 🌿 What Makes Us Different At Paw Retreat, we believe boarding should feel like a vacation—not simply a place to stay. Unlike traditional boarding facilities or high-volume daycare environments, we intentionally keep our group small so every guest can receive individualized attention, personalized care, and plenty of time to relax in a comfortable home environment. Keeping our group small also allows us to get to know each dog’s personality, habits, communication style, favorite activities, and individual needs. We want every guest to feel like part of the family while they’re here. ⸻ 🌳 More Than Just a Backyard We believe dogs deserve more than spending their entire stay in one backyard. Our guests typically enjoy 3–4 potty walks each day, along with two longer outdoor adventures based on their energy level, age, weather, and comfort. Our adventures may include: • Beautiful local parks • Large fenced grassy fields • Scenic walking trails • Sniffing and enrichment walks • Fetch and play sessions • Dog-friendly destinations throughout Greater Boston • Relaxing outdoor time for lower-energy or senior dogs We believe exploring new environments, sniffing, walking, playing, and experiencing the world around them are important parts of a dog’s physical and emotional well-being. Of course, every dog is different. Some dogs love big adventures, while others prefer quiet neighborhood walks, gentle play, or simply relaxing at home. We always adjust the day around the individual dog. ⸻ 🧠 Personalized Enrichment No two dogs are the same. Rather than following one routine for every guest, we tailor activities around your dog’s: • Personality • Age • Energy level • Confidence • Exercise needs • Play style • Social preferences • Comfort level Drawing from ongoing education in canine behavior, enrichment, Fear Free handling, and positive reinforcement, we recognize that mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. Depending on the dog, enrichment may include: • Sniffing games • Food puzzles • Recall practice • Sit / Stay / Come • Focus exercises • Waiting and polite manners • Positive-reinforcement training games • Fetch or frisbee • Quiet one-on-one interaction • Confidence-building activities Training and enrichment are always kept light, positive, and appropriate for each dog. Our goal is never to pressure a dog—we want them to participate because they feel comfortable and enjoy the interaction. ⸻ ❤️ A True Boutique Experience Because we welcome only a small number of guests at a time, every dog can receive the individual attention they deserve. Our guests enjoy: • Plenty of one-on-one attention • Flexible daily routines • Individual play and enrichment • Outdoor adventures • Quiet nap and relaxation time • Cuddles and companionship • Personalized feeding routines • Frequent potty opportunities • A calm home environment • Personalized care instead of a crowded daycare setting We believe quality pet care comes from having enough time to truly pay attention to each individual dog. That means noticing the little things—whether they seem tired, hungry, overstimulated, anxious, playful, uncomfortable, or simply ready for a cuddle. ⸻ 🏡 A Full-Time Family Care Team Pet care isn’t a side job—it’s my full-time profession. Paw Retreat is intentionally structured as a family-care environment, allowing us to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and personalized attention throughout each guest’s stay. My partner William works remotely most of the week, and my mother, who also has years of hands-on dog-care experience, frequently helps throughout the day. Together, we make sure our guests receive regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, companionship, rest, and lots of love. This family-style setup also allows dogs to experience something very different from a kennel environment—they get to live as part of a household. ⸻ ✂️ Professional Grooming Experience In addition to my full-time pet-care work, I also have professional experience in a PetSmart grooming salon, where I continue developing hands-on skills in: • Safe dog handling • Bathing • Brushing • Coat care • Nail care • Basic grooming preparation • Recognizing signs of stress or discomfort • Helping dogs feel more comfortable throughout the grooming process My grooming experience complements my Fear Free and pet-care background and helps me become even more confident handling dogs with different personalities, coat types, sensitivities, and comfort levels. I believe grooming should be approached with patience and empathy, especially for dogs who may feel nervous about bathing, brushing, nail care, or being handled. ⸻ 🦴 Thoughtful Extras We love adding thoughtful little touches to make each stay feel special. Depending on the guest and with owner approval, we may provide: • Healthy homemade treats • Daily photo and video updates • Complimentary bath for long-term boarding guests • Individual feeding routines • Medication administration when needed • Food puzzles and enrichment activities • Light positive-reinforcement training • Extra brushing and basic coat care • Plenty of cuddles and companionship Our goal is to make owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away—and to make dogs feel like they’re enjoying their own little vacation. ⸻ 🏆 Professional Qualifications Providing exceptional care means continuing to learn. I’m committed to ongoing education in canine behavior, enrichment, low-stress handling, grooming, safety, and positive-reinforcement training so I can continue providing the highest-quality care possible. My professional background and certifications include: ✔ Professional Grooming Salon Experience — PetSmart ✔ Certified Professional Pet Sitter ✔ Fear Free Certified Professional ✔ Pet CPR & First Aid Certified ✔ Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Foundations ✔ 12+ Years of Hands-On Dog Care Experience My education allows me to better understand canine body language, stress signals, handling, enrichment, safety, and individual behavior. Every dog teaches us something new, and I believe being an excellent pet-care professional means always continuing to learn. ⸻ 🐕 Individualized Care Before a stay, I want to understand what makes your dog feel most comfortable. I’m happy to learn about their: • Feeding schedule • Potty routine • Sleeping habits • Favorite activities • Walking preferences • Medical needs • Allergies or sensitivities • Medication schedule • Social preferences • Triggers or fears • Grooming sensitivities • Training cues • Personality and daily routine The more we know about your dog, the better we can recreate the routine and comfort they’re used to at home. ⸻ 🤝 Building Long-Term Relationships Our goal isn’t simply to care for your dog during one trip. We hope to become the trusted pet-care family you can rely on for years to come. As we get to know your dog’s personality, favorite activities, routines, communication style, and preferences, we’re able to provide an even more personalized experience with every visit. Returning guests often settle in quickly because they already recognize our home, routines, family members, walking routes, favorite resting spots, and friends. Nothing makes us happier than seeing a familiar face walk through the door excited for another stay. At Paw Retreat, we want every dog to feel: Safe. Loved. Understood. Enriched. And completely at home. 🐾❤️ We look forward to welcoming your pup for their own little Paw Retreat vacation! Pet care is my full-time career, so my daily schedule is built entirely around the dogs staying with us. Because we intentionally care for only a small number of guests, every dog receives plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, exercise, and individual attention throughout the day. William works remotely most of the week, and my mother also helps care for our guests, so someone is almost always home. This flexible schedule allows us to adjust activities based on each dog’s personality, energy level, routine, and needs. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always our highest priorities. As a Fear Free Certified Professional, I use gentle, low-stress handling techniques that help dogs feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Every guest is carefully supervised, and I pay close attention to body language, stress signals, and individual comfort levels to ensure a positive experience. Our apartment is designed to feel like a real home—not a kennel. To maintain a clean and healthy environment, we: • Use HEPA air purifiers • Wash food and water bowls after every meal • Sanitize beds, blankets, toys, and common areas using pet-safe products • Provide fresh filtered water at all times • Brush dogs when appropriate to keep coats clean and comfortable Long-term boarding guests also receive a complimentary bath before going home (with owner approval), so they return fresh, fluffy, and clean. While you’re away, you’ll receive frequent photos, videos, and updates so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having fun.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for them. In addition to growing up with family dogs, I’ve pet sat for friends and neighbors and worked as a dog walker during college. I’m dependable, attentive to details, and comfortable following routines and special care instructions. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, or plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved!! My schedule is currently very flexible, so I have full availability for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and last-minute bookings. I don’t have any scheduling limitations right now and am happy to work around your pet’s routine to provide reliable, consistent care whenever you need it!! I’m a respectful, dependable house sitter who will treat your home with the same care as my own. I’ll keep your pet comfortable by maintaining their normal routine while giving you peace of mind that both your home and pet are in good hands!
About: Family friends continued to ask my family and I if we would watch and care for their pets while they were away. After doing this multiple times, my parents began their own business of having a doggy daycare while I started my first semester of college. When I’d come home for breaks, I’d help them out by doing walking and drop-in visits for other clients they couldn’t get to. I found that I really enjoyed the time with these pets, and the rest is history. My family is honored to be "Star Sitters" back home on Rover. This distinguished classification is based on the quality of care, response rate of communication, and above all, real-life reviews from pet parents. Here’s the truth though, I’m not some college kid trying to make a couple of extra dollars on the side doing easy work. I genuinely find enjoyment and passion in dog-walking. Just like us humans, dogs need daily exercise and the benefits from that. As someone who is pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy, that is a concept that I am very passionate about. Your dog can’t be cooped up in the house all day, so let me take the ease off your shoulders and do what you sometimes don’t have the time for! Available for dog-walking and drop-in visits Please feel free to reach out with at questions at all. I am happy to help. I’m currently a DPT student at Northeastern University and am spending the next few years in Boston as I pursue my degree. Although school keeps me busy, I’m very efficient with my time, leading me to have gaps before/after school for me to take care of your Dog’s walking needs. Trust me, with school constantly putting me inside a lecture hall, I need to go outside and go for a walk just as much as your Dog does. When I was still living with my parents in upstate NY, they ran a doggy daycare business from our home. Many times I was tasked with walking, playing, and spending time with these dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. The extended time I spent with these dogs lead me to understand that, like us, they have their own personalities and needs. So with that in mind, I’ve always tried to take that approach with any animal that I’ve had the pleasure to take care of.
“I can’t say enough good things about Dejah. She is responsible and communicative, very reliable, and always patient with my dog. An amazing dog walker and a great person for your animal!”

In my home, I provide a safe, pet-proofed environment where pets can follow their daily routines, including feeding, walking, and playtime, while receiving plenty of personal attention and regular grooming. When caring for pets in clients' homes, I adhere to their specific instructions, maintaining the pet's familiar surroundings to minimize stress, and ensuring the security of the home. I also provide daily updates and photos, so owners can stay connected with their pets while away.
About: I’ve always loved animals and have firsthand experience caring for pets, including my own cat. Being a pet owner has taught me the patience, attention, and consistency animals need to feel safe and comfortable. I’m experienced with feeding routines, cleaning, playtime, and understanding different personalities and behaviors. I genuinely enjoy being around all animals and hope to open my own cat café in the future, so animal care is something I’m truly passionate about. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and safe while their owner is away. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for and spend quality time with pets throughout the week. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. I make sure pets are supervised, cared for with patience, and kept in a calm, clean, and loving environment. I pay close attention to routines, behaviors, and any specific instructions from owners to make sure pets feel secure and comfortable while you’re away. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s routine, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust and reliable care are when leaving your animal with someone else.

Zelun sent daily pictures and videos from walks and afternoon sun naps, and our dog looked sooooo happy in every picture. Would 10/10 recommend.”

“Haowen and his girlfriend were wonderful Rovers! I found Haowen after my previously-booked Rover cancelled last minute. Because of the last minute booking, I was very nervous, but Haowen was very attentive and asked a lot of questions up front to understand my dog’s needs and how best to accommodate her. During her stay, I received multiple pictures per day showing her having a wonderful time with Haowen.”
