“Tyler is a terrific person to leave your dog with. He communicates during the stay, is east to get in touch with, and of course has a very positive relationship with your dog. He enjoys them. I would leave my dog with him and feel very secure he would be in a friendly, safe place.”

“Jo and Adam took such good care of our pup Frankie. This was the longest he has ever been away from us- a whole week- but he came back so happy and tired, true signs of a good time. Jo and Adam sent photos daily which helped us a lot and it was fun and comforting to see Frankie with their dog Napo and little baby too as well as seeing him laying down next to Jo and Adam on the couch! It is such a relief to find such caring, competent, professional, and caring sitters that we can use when we need care for our pup. Thanks so much Jo and Adam!!”

“Isabella was great! She attended to my dog perfectly and was extremely communicative, updating with lots of pictures and videos. I highly recommend and would definitely use her again!”

“Xiaoyuan and William were the best. I was out on a business trip and they were able to board my Shiba Inu Bolt. Because they had another Sheebs in the house, they were already aware of the quirks of owning the breed but sure it would have been translatable to other breeds. They were very communicative and provided a lot of updates throughout. I highly recommend them.”

“Greta was very kind, patient, communicative and accommodating! Lots of updates and pics throughout my dogs stay. Plenty of walks and park time. He seemed genuinely happy to be there!”

“Brooklyn watched our Sydney for a quick overnight. She was very kind and responsive. Very accommodating of our pup's schedule and needs. We felt very at ease knowing she was in good hands”

“Thank you again John. Walking dogs in a dense urban setting is not without its challenges. John is so experienced with this and we can head out of town without concern for our dog when he's in John's care.”

“Highly recommend Rachel. She was very flexible with scheduling as we had to adjust times for both drop off and pick up. Bodhi was very comfortable which we could see from the many photos and video that Rachel sent to us. Such a comfort to know our girl was loved. Thank you, Rachel!”

“Alec and Damien were great hosts! Tanuki seemed very comfortable and we received lots of updates. So glad to have been able to book with them ❤️”

“We had a wonderful experience with Victoria! She was super responsive and we loved getting daily pictures of our dog while we were gone. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Ruya and Berg are a great pair of dog sitters, our pup is always so comfortable in their home. Friendly, good people that love dogs. I would highly recommend.”

“Cody was a fantastic sitter for our pup while we were away for a long weekend. She provided great daily updates and was incredibly kind, flexible, and communicative when our pup experienced some separation + thunderstorm anxiety during his visit and when we experienced flight delays on our return trip home. We will definitely re-book with Cody in the future!”

“Nalix was everything we wanted out of a pet sitter: prompt communication, accommodating, good care of our dog, and convenient dropoff and pickup. We will use Nalix in the future!”

“Will definitely board with Nola and Damian again! From the meet and greet to picking our dog up, they were very easy to communicate with and took great care of Bori.”

“Wonderful experience boarding my dog with them! Zwany was flexible with scheduling, asked a lot of important questions, really wanted to get to know my dog, and provided updates/pictures.”

“Steven was phenomenal. He sent us daily updates and photos, and it was clear Carly felt completely at home. She came back happy, relaxed, and well-cared for. Truly an exceptional experience.”

“Julie was amazing, it’s no wonder she has star sitter status! I always get nervous leaving my dog with new people, but she sent lots of pictures and updates about how he was doing. Seymour came home so content and relaxed!”

Cat caregivers near you - South End
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: My 3 cats are ages 12 and 13 and have a variety of needs. Baby is shy but loves attention. She only eats dry food, not wet food, and loves to start a fight with her brothers. Chewy likes to eat fast, play hard, and often gets sick, causing messes around the house. Even though he wakes me up at 5am every day, I still live for his playful spirit. Yoda is the cuddliest cat you will ever meet and will not leave your side - regardless of if you are showering, sleeping, or working. All this to say, I have balanced their dynamic simultaneously for the last 13 years and have encountered just about every experience you can expect with cats. I have administered pills, liquid medicine via mouth, and ear drops, and have started extra play time to help with weight loss. I have played extensive games of hide and seek and won’t quit until I find your cat if they are shy! I can’t wait to meet them :)

“Sienna was so communicative and very attentive with my young rescue cat. She clearly loves animals and I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to walk or watch their pet!”

“Juliet was great! She was very communicative and made sure my cat was well taken care of. I was nervous leaving my cat alone for a few days but she made me feel so much more comfortable because I knew Tuna Melt was having a great time. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“I’m so grateful Courtney could care for my cat while I was away on vacation. She’s nice, gentle, communicative and good with my picky girl. Booking again for sure! She also had flexibility for me to add an extra day. Thank you!”

“Amanda is fantastic! We were a little nervous leaving our cats for the first time, but she was awesome. Daily updates and photos, and everything was perfect. She’s responsible, reliable, and friendly. I highly recommend her!”

“Kimberly was excellent! Very professional, responsive, and accommodating. She took great care of my cat Toto and sent the cutest pictures! I would definitely recommend her :)”

“Molly did a great job taking care of my girls! She was very thorough and had great communication. I came back to a clean apartment and happy cats :) 10/10 would recommend!”

“Katherine was able to accommodate a pair of last minute drops-ins for me. My cats were very happy and relaxed when I returned. She followed all instructions and is good about communicating. Thank you again Katherine!!!”

“Nicole was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Marx. Not only did she check in on him daily while we were away but she truly cared for him making sure he got plenty of attention, love, and mental stimulation in addition to the basics of food, water, and litter cleanings. Could not be happier in selecting Nicole to care for our family member.”

“Ashley was amazing and made me feel so at ease knowing she was taking good care of my kitty while I was away. She was super responsive and provided detailed updates everyday. Will definitely use her again and would recommend to anyone!!”

“Sarah is just the best! She’s so communicative with us when she’s watching our Charlie and she loves him like he’s her own. We always feel extremely confident when leaving our senior boy with Sarah!”

“Julia is literally the best!!! She looked after my cat over the summer and was so thoughtful! She bought him treats and toys and was such a great help! Will definitely book her again🥰🥰”

“Yaxin was such a huge help taking care of my 2 cats while I was away. They are normally very shy but warmed up to her quickly! She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures”

“Nengliang has been watching my cat during my frequent travels. I’ve noticed she is much less stressed when I return home now, he does such a wonderful job! Very easy communication and great pictures! Thanks Nengliang 😃”

“Eva was a great sitter for my cat! He’s very high-energy so he can get pretty frustrated when he’s left alone for a few days, but Eva was very diligent in stopping by a couple times a day and playing with him to let some of his energy out. He seemed very content when I got home, and barely seemed to miss me. Thanks, Eva!”

“Caitlyn took excellent care of Noodle! She was very communicative throughout our absence and kept us updated with pics of her visit and Noodle took an immediate liking to her. We would not hesitate to have Caitlyn as a sitter again.”

“Dejah is great! She took care of my cat, Kiwi while I was away for 10 days. Dejah was kind and patient while she got to know Kiwi and I well and how Kiwi needs to be taken care of. Dejah is proactive, responsive, and detail-oriented; she kept me on top of Kiwi's well-being, shared pictures and let me know when I needed to order more food for Kiwi. Kiwi warmed up to Dejah that she eventually started to sit on Dejah's lap! That's a big sign that my Kiwi was comfortable. I definitely recommend Dejah and look forward to working with her again soon.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up in a home full of pets and has volunteered with animal shelters since childhood. As a former dog mom to my late min pin, I’m experienced with managing anxious or reactive dogs, oral medications, food allergies, and other special needs. I adore all pets, but have a soft spot for seniors and little guys. 🐕 I’m conveniently located between Back Bay & South End and WFH full-time. I work from home full-time and can provide a high and personalized level of care and attention to your animal during the week or on weekends! I take care of every animal as if they were my own and follow owner instructions to a tee. In my home, I have stairs if an animal needs assistance getting on the bed or couch and have a crate that comfortably fits medium sized dogs or smaller.
About: I grew up with dogs and trained my yorkie from puppyhood, so I understand how to build good habits and create a calm, friendly environment for dogs. With a background in animal science and behavioral neuroscience. I’m patient and attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs. also lots of play and walk! I can only care for dogs under 25lbs due to my apartment size, my own dog’s size, and my physique. This is to ensure your baby has enough room to play and safe to walk around with me. I am working remotely on Wednesday and Friday. My work is flexible and usually very chill on these days. I bring my own dog to dog parks and meet his dog friends throughout the day during these two days. On weekends, i bring my own dog to nearby big parks, hiking trails, beaches, and lake and I will make sure to do that with your dog too. Playtime guaranteed! I live in a small apartment in a large complex with a courtyard and rooftop green spaces, and I’m also close to two neighborhood parks and a fenced dog park where I take my own dog—a friendly 4-year-old Yorkie—every day. Dogs staying with me get regular walks, attention, and a calm environment; they’re welcome to sleep on the bed if they like, but I’m also completely comfortable following crate routines if that’s what they’re used to. I have worked with animals in the past and have experience in administering medications orally or through sub-q/ip injections.
About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. When she first came home, my girlfriend and I spent that entire first week with her, helping her adjust to a new environment, keeping her company at night, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. More than anything, I'm just a huge dog lover. Whenever I go back home to India, I spend a lot of my time hanging out with the neighborhood stray dogs. They've become part of my visits home. I know every dog is different, and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for the dogs in my own life: with lots of attention, affection, and plenty of updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they're never left alone for long. I love staying active, so I'm always happy to fit in extra walks or outdoor time if your pup enjoys it. I also welcome boarding on most weekends, unless I'm out of town, which isn't very often. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and sticks to their normal routine while you're away. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment, and I'm very used to sharing my space with dogs. I help care for my girlfriend's two pups regularly, so having dogs around the house is something I'm completely comfortable with. In my home, dogs are welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—they're welcome on the couch and in any room unless you have different rules you'd like me to follow. I know every dog has their own routine, so I'm happy to stick to whatever they're used to, whether that's crate training, scheduled feeding times, or specific walking routines. Once again, my goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away.

I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs because I care for one of my own every day. I provide reliable, attentive, and fun dog walking and sitting services to help keep your pup happy, healthy, and exercised. Whether your dog enjoys energetic walks, leisurely strolls, or extra time for sniffing and exploring, I tailor each walk to their comfort level and personality. As a fellow pet parent, I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. The other four days I am home and able to care for your fur baby! I will never accept booking on days I work to ensure they have proper attention throughout the day. I treat each pet that comes into my home as my own! That being said I do have a dog of my own who is very friendly with other animals. I ensure that they are well stimulated throughout the day with walks, chew toys, lick mats etc. I just ask that you give me any details you can to ensure your pet has a great stay/walk!

“I’m so happy we found Jeremy to care for our dog! He is attentive and very communicative. I also loved that he thinks ahead of time. For example knowing it would rain he asked us to leave a towel to dry Jackson knowing he would get wet. We’ll definitely ask for his services again!”

“Nicole took the time to really gauge what Cocoa wanted each day. Some days all she wants is to play or get belly rubs and others she wants a long walk around the neighborhood. She always sent a report on how Cocoa was and what they did and included great pictures of her playing or getting pets. I couldn't recommend Nicole enough!”

About: I have lived with animals since I was born - dogs, cats, and other animals with up to 7 in the house at a time. I currently have one dog and three cats, all who are middle aged. I have been responsible for taking care of puppies and elderly dogs, as well as cats both playful and shy. I am the go-to caretaker for all of my family and friends. I am comfortable and have experience with walking multiple dogs, giving animals medicine, playing with animals, comforting them, and providing high detailed care for both cats and dogs. I am currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I have very open availability throughout the week and tend to be available on weekends as well. I am always sure to respect the rules of your house and the way in which you want your pet(s) cared for. For my personal pets, I give different instructions for each of the four and am happy to follow the same for your animal(s), because each pet deserves their own care to get their unique needs met.
“Lucy is so wonderful and such a caring and kind sitter. She is responsive, helpful, and communicative! I felt so at ease knowing she was spending time with my pup while I was at work. “Alissa is an amazing dog walker. We deeply appreciate how reliable and consistent she is, and how well she manages our dog with reactivity. She always comes on time and has been mindful of the summer heat when going on walks. Alissa has been an absolute asset to our family and we are wicked lucky to have her!!”

About: Welcome! Hi! I’m Krystal—a FULL-TIME Professional Pet Sitter, Berklee College of Music graduate, and proud dog mom to my Shiba Inu, Mina. As a fellow dog parent, I know your dog isn’t just a pet—they’re family. That’s why we created Paw Retreat, a boutique home boarding experience where every guest receives personalized care, enriching adventures, and the same love and attention we’d give our own dog. Inspired by my love for both music and animals, my goal is simple: to create a calm, loving second home where every dog feels safe, understood, and genuinely excited to come back. ⸻ 🌿 What Makes Us Different At Paw Retreat, we believe boarding should feel like a vacation—not simply a place to stay. Unlike traditional boarding facilities or sitters who care for many dogs at once, we intentionally keep our group small so every guest receives individualized attention, personalized care, and a calm home environment. 🌳 More Than Just a Backyard Many boarding facilities rely primarily on a backyard for daily exercise. Our guests enjoy 3–4 potty walks every day plus two outdoor adventures to beautiful parks, large fenced grassy fields, scenic walking trails, and other dog-friendly destinations throughout Greater Boston. We believe dogs deserve opportunities to explore new environments, sniff, discover, and enjoy the world around them—not just stay in one yard all day. ⸻ 🧠 Personalized Enrichment No two dogs are the same. Rather than following one routine for every guest, we tailor each day’s activities around your dog’s: • Personality • Age • Energy level • Confidence • Exercise needs • Comfort level As we continue studying canine behavior, enrichment, and positive reinforcement, we’ve learned that mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. Every adventure is thoughtfully planned to help dogs stay confident, engaged, relaxed, and happy. ⸻ ❤️ A True Boutique Experience Because we welcome only a small number of guests at a time, every dog receives: • Plenty of one-on-one attention • Flexible daily routines • Individual play and enrichment • Quiet nap time • Cuddles and companionship • Personalized care instead of a crowded daycare environment We believe quality care comes from giving every guest the time and attention they deserve. ⸻ 🏡 A Full-Time Family Care Team Pet care isn’t a side job—it’s my full-time profession. My partner William works remotely most of the week, and my mother, who also has years of dog care experience, often helps throughout the day. This means someone is almost always home providing supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love. ⸻ 🦴 Thoughtful Extras To make every stay even more special, we also offer: • Healthy homemade treats (with owner approval) • Daily photo and video updates • Complimentary bath for long-term boarding guests • Individual feeding routines • Medication administration when needed ⸻ 🏆 Professional Qualifications Providing exceptional care means continuing to learn. I’m committed to ongoing education in canine behavior, enrichment, low-stress handling, and positive reinforcement so every dog receives the safest and highest quality care possible. My certifications include: ✔ Certified Professional Pet Sitter ✔ Fear Free Certified Professional ✔ Pet CPR & First Aid Certified ✔ Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Foundations ✔ 12+ years of hands-on dog care experience Every new course helps me better understand dogs and provide an even better experience for every guest. ⸻ 🤝 Building Long-Term Relationships Our goal isn’t simply to care for your dog during one trip. We hope to become the trusted pet sitter your family can rely on for years to come. As we get to know your dog’s personality, favorite activities, routines, and preferences, we’re able to provide an even more personalized experience with every stay. Nothing makes us happier than welcoming our returning guests back for another vacation. Pet care is my full-time career, so my daily schedule is built entirely around the dogs staying with us. Because we intentionally care for only a small number of guests, every dog receives plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, exercise, and individual attention throughout the day. William works remotely most of the week, and my mother also helps care for our guests, so someone is almost always home. This flexible schedule allows us to adjust activities based on each dog’s personality, energy level, routine, and needs. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always our highest priorities. As a Fear Free Certified Professional, I use gentle, low-stress handling techniques that help dogs feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Every guest is carefully supervised, and I pay close attention to body language, stress signals, and individual comfort levels to ensure a positive experience. Our apartment is designed to feel like a real home—not a kennel. To maintain a clean and healthy environment, we: • Use HEPA air purifiers • Wash food and water bowls after every meal • Sanitize beds, blankets, toys, and common areas using pet-safe products • Provide fresh filtered water at all times • Brush dogs when appropriate to keep coats clean and comfortable Long-term boarding guests also receive a complimentary bath before going home (with owner approval), so they return fresh, fluffy, and clean. While you’re away, you’ll receive frequent photos, videos, and updates so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having fun.
“Julia was able to walk our dog twice over the weekend upon last minute notice. We just had a baby and needed our Maple walked, and Julia was so helpful in getting her exercised. She was mindful of the heat and our dog’s short snout and made sure to give her water and breaks in this summer weather. We’re so thankful.”

“Caitlyn is easy to communicate with and reliable. She is wonderful with my dog and really cares about him! I trust her in my home and with my fur baby and feel so good knowing when he is in her care! So grateful I found her!”
About: I have many years of experience looking after dogs having taken care of my dog Lexy since we got her 12 years ago, along with helping out with my family’s two dogs in Jordan whenever I visit. Whether it is taking them out on walks, routine feedings and medicine, or just giving them attention and playing with them, I know what it takes to look after a pet. I am currently a student at Boston University and I have a schedule that would allow me to be with pets most of the time throughout that day. I can be around for feedings, walks, and just to give them the attention they need. I live in a spacious apartment near a park in an animal friendly building. I will be able to cater to pets needs as they come.

About: Hey, I’m Xavier! I love animals, and I’m lucky enough to have a flexible job that allows me the time to care for your furry friends. I’ve always loved and cared for animals. It's truly second nature to me. My last dog was a beautiful brindle pitbull mix named Coco who had an unexpected stroke, which left her back legs paralyzed. For years I did everything from changing her diaper and daily walks to aquatics, specialized dog food, and homemade meals. I take the health of animals as a priority. Animals are like our children, and we treat every pet with the individualized care we would give our own, as they deserve. My home is cleaned by 100% ALL NATURAL ingredients, so your pets will be safe from harmful chemicals. I am very familiar with supporting health conditions such as muscular complications and ear infections, and we are 100% FLEA FREE! We both work from home and are available all day for your pets. Your pet will have all the attention and love that they need! From morning jogs to administering medication, we make a schedule pertaining to your dogs specific needs. We are respectful of your property and will follow any specific instructions if given.

“Zelun was so good with our dog. We will definitely be using zelun in the future. He sent lots of photos and had great communication. He also brought Iggy on many adventures each day like the park and nice walks!”
“Howie runs into Elizabeth and Rodrigo’s home every time I drop him off like it’s his own home!! That’s all you can ask for as a pet parent!! They are so communicative, flexible and kind.”

“Ilsa is a great dog sitter! She sent me tons of cute pics and videos of my dog during his stay. She lives in a great neighborhood with a yard which I know my dog loved. I would absolutely recommend her services and definitely book with her again!”

“Ellis had a short stay with Emily and Daniel but will definitely be back! They sent great pics and updates and were flexible when our plans shifted slightly. Their dog seemed super sweet too and it looks like the pups got along well!”

“Had a great experience boarding my Golden Retriever with Christina! From the initial meet & greet I could tell Christina was competent, professional, and caring. Leading up to and throughout the boarding she was communicative and sent multiple pictures daily, so I know my dog had a great time. Drop-off and pick-ups were easy. Overall really pleased with the boarding service and will be boarding with Christina again soon!”

“We had a wonderful experience! They took excellent care of our dog and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated the frequent updates and photos—they kept us informed and reassured that our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear our dog received lots of attention and affection throughout the stay. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!”

“Kathy was so accommodating and responsive! And she sent pictures of Frankie all day long to keep us posted. It was Frankie’s first experience in a house with cats so we were a bit worried, but everything worked out great and all the animals lived in harmony. We will definitely book again!”

“Guillermo did a fantastic job with my dog, Kiara. She gets nervous around new people, so it’s always tough for me to leave her. I booked an overnight stay with Guillermo to see if they’d be a good fit, and it went perfectly. As soon as I arrived, I felt comfortable. Guillermo showed me around the house so I could see where Kiara would stay, which put me at ease. Kiara quickly warmed up to him and didn’t seem upset when I left. During the day, Guillermo sent thoughtful updates and photos, which really helped me relax. When I came back to pick up Kiara, she was happy to see me. She gave me a few kisses and then settled on the couch like she was at home. I really appreciated Guillermo’s care, communication, and the calm, friendly atmosphere he created. I have already booked with him again.”
“Maja was so great with my dog, Zoey! I was a little nervous to drop Zoey off with a sitter because she was having some anxiety but Maja was extremely understanding and immediately put Zoey at ease. She is super communicative and accommodating. She also lives adjacent to a park and took Zoey for lots of walks / hikes in the park. Highly recommend her as a sitter for your pets!”
