About: Hi there, I’m Marcus! I’m a university student with loads of experience with animals. Growing up I raised chickens and guinea pigs for the county fair. I also have years of experience taking care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve taken care of dogs with special needs, so giving oral medication or comforting a blind dog is not new to me. I understand that every dog is unique, and I treat them like family. With a dog of my own, I have a deep empathy for what it takes to ensure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away. I’m a university student with a flexible schedule and I can easily accommodate your pet's needs. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep your furry friends comfortable, happy, and stress-free by maintaining their usual routine. For cats, I respect their space while providing affection, whether it’s a bit of interactive play or quiet time. About: As an absolutely attentive and careful person, I bring a personal touch to caring for your pets. I love animals since I was a kid. In 2017, I adopted my first cat, Monday, and learned how to be a cat parent. Then, in 2021, my roommate and I adopted two more kittens. I officially joined Rover in 2024 as a cat sitter because I know all too well how lonely our pets feel, and how worried we get when we have to leave them home alone. Whether your pets need playtime, cuddles, or feed, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available every day from 10 AM to 5 PM, which allows me to give your pets the attention, exercise, and care they need. I follow your instructions closely to stick to their routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, or playtime. I ensure your home remains secure and clean while keeping a watchful eye on your pet’s well-being. I will timely updates and photos will keep you informed, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and safe in my care.

About: Growing up in a multi-dog household, dogs weren’t just pets to me, but they’re my best friends. I am deeply familiar with the day-to-day realities of dog care and naturally understand canine behavior and routines. For puppies, I seamlessly reinforce house-training, crate routines, and basic manners. For older dogs, I bring the patience needed for senior care, including managing slow mobility and following strict medication schedules. Living with multiple dogs has taught me to read subtle body language, so I know exactly when a dog is anxious, over-stimulated or just needs quiet space. I am a Catering Sales Manager which provides me a unique schedule that fits perfectly into pet care. Because I primarily work weekends managing events, I have dedicated days off in the middle of the week. Additionally I work from home one day a week. This setup gives me exceptions midweek flexibility that a standard 9-5 sitter does not have. On my days off and WFH days, pet care is my primary focus. I am fully available for midday walks, daytime drop in visits, or keeping a house-sitting puppy company without the disruption of a strict office schedule. I update my Rover calendar constantly to reflect my weekly event shifts to ensure availability is always accurate and reliable for you. I take pride in learning and replicating your exact house rules, feeding schedules, and favorite walking loops. I treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping everything clean and secure while you are away. I am able to offer your dog true, focused companionship during the daytime hours when they miss you the most.

About: I put my best effort into everything that I do. When it comes to dogs, that means I give them all of my attention when I care for them. My experience started in pet sitting within my neighborhood from days to weeks on end! I had such a wonderful time that I began to work as a dog walker the next summer and I loved it. I feel I have a very good understanding of doggy brains because I had to learn them. I was once scared of dogs as a child, but overcoming that has made me more deeply connected. My 8-year-old maltipoo, who is back home in DC, is such a cuddle bunny who would certainly impress you with his tricks. He can jump over your arms, weave through your legs, turn a complete circle on his hind legs, roll over, and more in addition to walking off leash. My year-old Australian Shepherd, Kova, has surpassed him as an AKC Certified Novice, Intermediate, AND Advanced Trick dog! She hasn’t met a dog she does not like—super friendly and always willing to play 🤗. I have an indefinite love for dogs and we (Kova and I) hope to meet yours!! Being a college student at Northeastern University, I have a lot of time on my hands! I worked my first year as a Fitness Center Building Supervisor because I wanted something to do. I have since worked as a Lululemon seasonal worker, tutor, research technician, personal trainer, and some volunteer positions. I manage my time very well and appreciate spending as much of my days outside on walks…mostly with my pup, Kova, but even more on my own while she naps 😌. I have a lot of love for nature and the dogs in it that are the definition of refreshing, love, and happiness. Kova and I hope to spend lots of time with your pets! Kova was fully potty trained by 3 months old because we work so well together. We take 30-45-minute walks 3x a day and practice tricks every morning. She spends the daytime in between walks napping on her own to fully recuperate. While I am home during the day, rest for an Aussie is imperative, especially because I fulfill her needs enough while we’re outside. If your pet needs alone time too, I can offer that! I can also offer good company at all times. I enjoy every moment with Kova very much and am looking forward to spending our time with your pets. Kova mostly enjoys herself with dogs, though, and is always willing to have fun! We’re so excited to see new pups.

About: My rates are low since I'm just starting out on rover!! I have prior experience with Dogs of all sizes and ages. Hyper dogs, calmer dogs, Big and small. I also have experience with cats!! I am ready to tackle taking care of any age, accommodations, whatever it may be!! I also have experience staying over night in a home in order to care for anxious dogs and cats and am ready to communicate if any issues are present!! Currently, during the summer, I am unavailable for visits from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays, though I can be flexible if needed!! I occasionally will accept bookings outside of my radius and at short notice. If I'm available, I try to be very accommodating and would love to help out if I can. I have full weekend availability as of right now. As my availability changes, I will update my schedule :) I am able to spend time playing, caring, walking, feeding, etc. with your pup. I have experience crating a dog, but usually the dogs are crate trained, or on the smaller side if not. I am also able to be aware and stay aligned with any rules you might have in place for your pet (ex. no pets on the couch etc.)

You can count on the most detailed updates including photos, videos, and calls (if requested) to keep you in the loop about what your pet is up to during your time apart, how they’re feeling, any new friends made, and more! I truly believe that communication is key and I will go above and beyond to ensure that you get honest, detailed, and reliable information while you’re away. My current WFH schedule is very flexible so I can care for your pet as needed. 😊 I’m available to provide frequent potty breaks and walks not just during a lunch break, but whenever you feel like they need a drop-in visit while you’re busy. I’m also more than happy to come by and visit, play with, and/or clean after your cats whenever you need. Whether you need morning, afternoon, or evening, I’m free to attend to all of their needs! Looking after your pet is not a responsibility I take lightly; I don’t believe there is such a thing as being “too careful” when it comes to safety! I’m very mindful of the objects, toys, and food items your dog and/or cat may encounter at home or outside. Any notes on behavior around other animals as well as potential quirks, triggers, or sensitivities are all incredibly useful things to let me know so I can keep your pet and myself safe during our time together ☺️ Safety and communication are always #1!
