“Nancy was great with my Setter Georgie! Many people say they'll treat your pup like he/she was theirs. Nancy truly does that! She is quick to respond, on time and my Setter loves his walks with her.”

“Great walkers :)) so friendly and accommodating. I appreciate when a walker does their best to do long distance walks in 30 minutes. In a dream world, I’d love to pay for an hour but just can’t afford it right now, so having a walker that is putting in the effort, means so much. Nothing better than a tired dog!”

About: I grew up with dogs that loved to play. I am a full believer in positive reward style training and bonding to create trust (crate training, potty training, etc). In the world of pet-sitting, some dogs need specialized attention to details and extra care/protection compared to their counterparts, but they can be just as loving and empathetic. My wife and I will make sure they're in an environment where they feel safe and nurtured while living their best life! Priority is for everyone to feel happy, comfortable, and safe. My wife and I alternate working remote from home to working in office, so we will coordinate one of us to be looking after your dog at our home while we work during the day. If preferable, we can also look after your dog in your home/housesit depending on location. We have a small shared fenced condo yard as well as easy walking distance to the local dog park near L Street Beach, and Joe Moakley park. My wife and I enjoy leisurely walks along Carson to M-street beach as well as to Castle Island. We will enjoy walking your dog as we love fresh air and the beach!
“Jose is incredibly kind and compassionate and my dog - who is usually pretty wary of new people - warmed right up to him! I would recommend him to anyone that owns a dog.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 11. I’ve taken care of my own dogs, neighbors dogs, and those of family friends as well! I’m currently finishing up the school year as a fifth grade teacher and will be starting a PhD program in the Autumn, so I’m looking for work over the summer caring for dogs and cats in the mornings and afternoons. I’m available to come to your location to walk, feed, and play with your dog (or cat!). I have a skittish cat, so my home isn’t available for boarding or dog/cat-sitting, but I am more than happy to come to your home to check on, feed, walk, give medicine, or play with your pet!
About: Neighbors have relied on me to take care of their pets when out of town for years. I love all animals and teaching dogs new tricks. I love puppies and can handle dogs that are a little wild but also love to hang out with my older dogs. I am currently working full time and would be available to help out during weekends and after work. I work from home Monday, Thursday, and Friday and would love to step outside during my lunch break to walk your dogs. I won’t be able to have your dogs in my home because my roommate has a dog of her own that we watch. But more than happy to come to yours!
About: I’ve been a devoted pet parent and animal lover for as long as I can remember. For 12 incredible years, I shared my life with my dog, Riley, who taught me so much about loyalty, patience, play, and unconditional love. Caring for her through every stage of life, from energetic youth to gentle senior, gave me hands-on experience with daily routines, behavioral cues, medication needs, mobility changes, and the importance of a calm, reassuring presence. What sets me apart is the kind of care I provide. I’m attentive, grounded, and truly tuned in to an animal’s emotional and physical needs. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs, following special instructions, administering medications, and keeping a consistent routine. I also love the joyful chaos that comes with puppy energy and miss having that playful spirit in my home. Whether your dog needs quiet companionship, structured care, or a fun, active environment, I’ll treat them the way anyone hopes their best friend would be treated: with love, respect, patience, and plenty of belly rubs. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I work from home much of the time and have a flexible, self-directed schedule, which allows me to plan my day around a dog’s needs or any special routines you’d like followed. Whether it’s walks, feeding times, play breaks, or just being present and attentive, I’m able to give consistent care and companionship throughout the day. I’m also able to adapt for early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed, so your pet gets steady attention rather than long stretches alone. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I live on the second and third floors of a well-maintained condo on a quiet, residential street at the top of Jones Hill in Dorchester. The area is calm and ideal for walks, with plenty of space nearby for fresh air, sniff breaks, and movement without the chaos of heavy traffic. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I keep a clean, pet-safe space free of hazards and am mindful of food, plants, and small objects. I follow your specific care instructions closely — from feeding and walking routines to medications and favorite calming techniques — and I pay close attention to behavior and body language so I can respond quickly if anything seems off. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful, detail-oriented, and consistent. I make sure your pet feels comfortable in their own environment while keeping your space secure and tidy. My goal is always the same: to create a calm, safe, and familiar experience where your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and truly at home.
“Owen has been great! I can tell our pup looks forward to seeing him. He provides feedback on the walk and even helps reinforce the training habits we’ve been working on implementing with our dog. It’s fun to see the photo updates from the walk he provides. 5 stars.”

About: I've had lots of experience dog sitting for a variety of dogs. I have dog sat for my neighbors and friends since I was 14 years old and have continued on this app. I work full-time Monday-Friday in office however have weekends off. I would love to either day-sit or overnight sit for your dog on free weekends coordinated! When your dog comes to stay with me they will be taken on walks throughout the day, showered with love, taken to the bathroom often, fed properly, snuggled on the couch, and given so much playtime.
“David is awesome with handling puppies, adults and dogs who are more anxious. Our dog gets so excited to see David everytime he comes. David does a great job of tiring them out and giving them opportunities to be social and get play time with other dogs.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Dorchester
Nate has been a great dog walker for our dog, Sierra. He provides nice updates about the walks and it looks like Sierra is having a great time. He is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. I will be booking Nate again and I highly recommend him for your dog walking needs.

David is an excellent dog walker who I would recommend to anyone looking. He is courteous, professional and knows dogs well, and rather than just taking my dog on walks he mixes it up with fetch, dog parks and play time. He is always on time and very dependable.

Lauren was super friendly super cute, on time (annd even early!) and my dog loved her! She followed directions perfectly, made sure my dog had water spray to cool him down and freedom was very happy to see her again! Lauren has a bubbly personality that makes her especially fun to be around.. Trust 100% with my dog. Highly recommend her for your pet!

Julia was able to walk our dog twice over the weekend upon last minute notice. We just had a baby and needed our Maple walked, and Julia was so helpful in getting her exercised. She was mindful of the heat and our dog’s short snout and made sure to give her water and breaks in this summer weather. We’re so thankful.

Karley has such an enthusiasm with new dogs, my dog warmed up to her immediately on the first walk. My dog is not a “licker” but sure licked Karley in appreciation and happiness. In our our communications she was warm and very responsive and even offered help in finding someone on a day she couldn’t make it . It was a pleasure having her walk Freedom and I am extremely lucky she could do it . Most importantly , I trust her with my dog. I highly recommend her and will use her again.
