About: I first started caring for dogs when I was 11 and my family adopted our then 12-week old puppy, Tulip (beagle-hound mix). I was the primary one responsible for her feeding and afternoon walks throughout middle and high school. I also routinely dog sat for neighbors who at the time had a senior poodle, providing daily drop ins and walks. Since moving to Boston, I have been fortunate to become a regular dog walker for neighbors and friends, with experience walking shihtzus, German shepherds, labs, and boxers. While I now own two cats, I would love to get outside and enjoy the summer weather with some new four-legged friends! I work for the public schools, so I am off all summer! I am happy to provide drop-ins or walks throughout the morning and afternoon M-F, with some availability on select Saturday and Sunday afternoons. **School ends on June 26th this year - on dates marked as available prior to June 26th, I can only accommodate afternoon walks between 2:30-7pm. I have cared for puppies all the way up through seniors dogs in their final days, so I am happy to accommodate the specific needs of your dog based on age and temperament. It is my existing habit to send a photo to friends of their dogs every time I visit or take them on a walk, as a way of making sure they know I have actually completed the service and their dog has been properly cared for!

About: Since I can remember, I have always been an animal lover. There has never been a time in my life when I haven't had a dog or was helping to care for a friend or neighbor's dog. In 2003 while living alone in New York City, I adopted an 8-week-old pit bull / Lab mix who I was lucky enough to have in my life for 16 years! Lexie was the most loyal and loving dog, and my experience raising him encouraged me to help other dogs in need. After moving home to Boston in 2004, I started volunteering for the Milton Animal Shelter and MSPCA, walking dogs and helping to clean their cages. I also joined a local pit bull rescue where I would work at various adoption events, conduct home visits for potential adoptees, and speak to elementary classes about dog safety and how to be compassionate towards animals. I also completed a week-long course at the Boston Animal Rescue League to help shelter volunteers get a better understanding about the individual personality and needs of the dogs in their care. In 2014 I started a dog walking business on the side which was very rewarding. I had 3-5 dogs I cared for daily and loved the opportunity to work from home as a graphic designer, and get out of the house and play with so many amazing dogs during the afternoon. My husband and I have two children ages 9 and 7, and the most playful, well-tempered 2-year-old Boston Terrier, Rocket. He gets along with all people and dogs and would love another dog or two to play with during the day. Both my husband and I work from home and can assure you that your pet will have all the love, care, and attention it needs while you're away. Please let me know if you have any questions. “My 11 year old blind, toothless and admittedly neurotic minpin has very strong “YOU’RE NOT MY MOM” energy. He has failed two dog walkers before Dave, seeing as they couldn’t even get him out of the house because he kept trying to nip their fingers with the few teeth he has left. After reading Dave’s reviews I decided to give it one more shot. Dave blew my mind when he sent me photos of Big Bear out and about, riding shot gun in the car, traipsing around the dog park.
