About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, growing up in a family that always had two dogs. As the eldest, I naturally took on a lot of the responsibility, feeding, walking, bathing, cleaning up, helping with training, and of course giving plenty of love and playtime. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also cared for neighbors’ dogs and cats, always making sure to follow their instructions carefully so each pet feels comfortable and cared for just the way their family would want.😊 Working from home gives me the flexibility to be fully present for your pets throughout the day. I naturally take breaks often, which I love to spend playing, walking, or giving them attention so they feel happy and cared for. Since I can bring my work with me, I’m also able to stay in your home as long as needed; making sure your pets have company, comfort, and consistent care without ever feeling alone. When I care for pets in their own home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar space. I follow your routines closely so everything feels consistent for them. Since I work from home, I can spend plenty of time with your pets, giving them attention throughout the day. My goal is to treat them like family and make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and never feel alone.
“Everything from the meet and greet to the drop in visits were well communicated and she was so nice. I felt so comfortable my whole visit away and got the best updates and pictures. Will use again. Thank you!”

“Lee seemed like he really enjoyed our young cat Oslo’s playful and confident attitude, and Oslo really liked having a new friend to visit him. We felt much better knowing Lee would be there to drop in and check on him over the weekend. Oslo was a happy kitty when we returned. Thank you Lee!”

“Mark was very good with Poppy, my 9 year old cat. This was the longest I’ve gone off and I’m sure she wasn’t thrilled. But Mark gave her attention and care. I will have him watch my cat again.”

“Henry loves having Katie check on him! She gives him treats we leave out and brushings. Always takes photos which is so nice when away! Would always choose Katie to watch our pets :)”

“Taylor is amazing! We’ve trusted her multiple times to watch our dogs, and she truly cares about their wellbeing. Having Taylor as our pet sitter provides peace of mind when we are out of town. She’s the best!”

“We had an excellent experience with Sydney! care of our cats while we were on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of our cats while we were on vacation. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our cats were well cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Makenzie was able to help us out last minute, and we’re so grateful! She took such great care of our baby, and Bella had so much fun with her. 🐶❤️ Makenzie communicated very well and sent us lots of pictures and videos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Thank you so much, Makenzie! We will definitely use her again! Highly recommend!”

About: Hey there! I'm Alyn and I absolutely LOVE spending my free time with pets!! I adore both cats and dogs and have over 10 years of experience caring for many pet personalities. With my own pets, I've cared for senior pets, dogs with special medical needs, reactive dogs (my current baby), anxious cats, and playful puppies. I've also worked at an animal shelter, where | provided care, walks, and enrichment to the dogs there. I learned so much about dog/cat body language, care, health, training, and even went on to teach this to children at their educational summer camps! I'd love to be your dog's best friend and make sure they have a safe and amazing time with me while you're away! I currently have ample availability to take on new clients and provide consistent services! I'd love to help with dog walks, drop-ins, and any other care that you need! Typically the earliest I start is 9am and the latest around 8-9pm. Need a bit earlier/later? Reach out! I'd love to work with you! The safety of your pets is of outmost importance to me and I pride myself in providing a safe and appropriate environment at all times. When in a client's home, I'm always sure to be mindful and adhere to the instructions agreed on prior. Rest assured your pets will be treated just as they are when you're there...well, perhaps a bit more spoiled: P
“I will definitely book with Alexis the next time I need a pet sitter. You can really tell she has a heart for animals. She was extremely kind and took great care of my sweet pet Nugs. She asked to come a day early and learn how to take care of my Nugs and to pick up the house key and I loved the initiative. I also loved getting the opportunity to meet her before she took care of Nugs. Nugs does not warm up to everyone quickly, but was giving Alexis kisses (cute little licks) during her visits. I have nothing but good things to say about Alexis and would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter! :)”
“Tiffany was perfect! She stopped by, checked on my babies and even played with them for a few and sent photos. I really appreciate her squeezing me and my babies in at the last minute we are beyond appreciative!”

About: I worked at an animal hospital as a kennel assistant while in high school. I would walk pets, feed them, and play with them. I then moved on to become a veterinary assistant throughout my four years at college. I have lived with animals my whole life. I now currently work from home. I have a five-year-old female German Shepard, a two year old Pointer Lab, and a twelve year old cat. My GS, Tsuki, is a sweetheart who loves to always be by her mom's side and loves her walks. My pointer lab, Chance, is the most distinguished gentleman that just loves to play and constantly learning new commands. Chance and Tsuki have one sisters, Mila (12 years old). Mila loves her space. I feel like working with animals in a clinic and having my own has been a rewarding experience to learn more about animals and how each one has its own dislikes and likes. I have a very flexible employment, that sometimes I am able to work from home. I am happy to check on the fur baby as often as you would prefer and send you all the pictures! I have a fenced backyard for those dogs that love to be running around outside. If I am coming to your house, then I love taking walks and if you prefer, I would love to take them to the dog park. You let me know what you would allow/prefer for the care of your pet, and I will do just that!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Short Pump
My cat is almost 19 and has a lot of medical issues and requires multiple medications and subcutaneous fluids. Even though he is usually pretty good about all that, he still requires a lot more than most cats. Kayla and Demetrius agreed to learn how to do the subcutaneous fluids when they came for the meet and greet. They were able to give him all his needed pills and the fluids along with giving various foods when here to get him to eat as much as possible. They were great with daily communication to let me know what all they did for him that day. They seem to really enjoy being around animals and taking care of them and I would recommend them.

We are so happy that we found Katie. She is the kind of person that, in a second, you could trust your pet with. She took such great care of Shelby, followed all of our instructions, and kept us updated throughout her visits. She was also so thoughtful and even brought our Amazon packages inside. We truly appreciate her kindness and care, and we would absolutely recommend Katie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

This is the second time I’ve booked Corinne to help look after our cat while we’ve been out of town. She is communicative, professional, and does a great job taking care of our cat’s needs for love, attention, and treats. I would happily recommend Corinne to anyone needing a sitter, and I will definitely ask for her help again in the future.

Loren was absolutely amazing with our pit bull and cat while we were on vacation for a week! Our animals aren't the easiest to look after since one gets an insulin shot twice a day and the other has had some behavioral issues. I couldn’t recommend Loren more! She made an extremely stressful pet care situation for us so stress free and our fur babies were so loved on! She is a natural and our babies LOVED HER!

Lee was absolutely wonderful with my cat Theo. From the first day, he was dependable, caring, and gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that he cruelly cared about the well being of Theo, and I appreciated the updates and attention he provided. Although right now I no longer need cat services, I can’t recommend Lee highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, compassionate, and treats your pets like they’re his own, Lee is the person to call. Thank you Lee for taking such great care of Theo, I truly appreciate everything you did.

We absolutely adore Olivia! She is reliable, proactive, and an excellent communicator. She's always responsive and keeps us updated, giving us complete peace of mind while we're away. Olivia consistently goes above and beyond, and it's clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We know our Kitty is in the very best hands with Olivia, and we couldn't ask for a better pet sitter. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate pet care!

Ariella took amazing care of my senior dog Chyna and my cat Suki while I was out of town. She was incredibly patient with Chyna and took her time to make sure she was comfortable and cared for every step of the way. You can truly tell Ariella has a genuine love for animals and treats them like her own. After having a not so good experience with another Rover sitter in the past, I was honestly nervous about leaving my fur babies again. But Ariella completely changed that for me. She kept me at ease, provided the ultimate care, and made sure both Chyna and Suki were happy and well cared for while I was away. I would absolutely trust Ariella again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and attentive to watch their precious fur babies.

Leslie took extraordinary care of my three (3) cats while I was out of town for two (2) days. Bandit and Patches (7 months old) had never been left alone overnight and Bella (16 years old) needed a little extra care because she tends to hide (and Bandit tries to eat her food). Leslie provided exceptional updates with lots of photos after each visit! It allowed me to focus on my work trip and not worry about my kitties!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
