“Cathy Jo did a great job taking care of my furbabies while we were away for my son's wedding out of state. And she had her hands full with 2 dogs (Otis and Cricket) and 2 cats (Jinx and Meatball) although Jinx hid from her after the first visit. She gave us an update and photos after each visit and was very responsive whenever I contacted her with questions, both before and during the time of service. Everyone was just settling in to their routine with Cathy Jo just about the time we returned home, but I could tell they definitely enjoyed having someone come by to give them the needed attention while we were away.”

“Meghan was great with my cats. Even Beans, who hides from everyone but me, found himself rolling over for belly rubs from Meghan. Highly recommend her and would definitely request her services again!”

“Grace was awesome! She was so helpful with toby, always sending me picture updates of her drop in with Toby. I will definitely be reaching out to her again with any help I need with Toby:-)”

“Once again, Steven stepped up when the unexpected happened! I failed to provide the alarm access - and he had to deal with that ALARM sounding and the impact on the kitties. He is always calm and handles all issues with professionalism. Thanks (again!), Steven!”

“Helen is wonderful! She responds quickly and was able to accommodate last minute requests. She is great with our puppy always keeping her entertained. We will definitely continue to use Helen’s services.”

“I’m so grateful that a friend recommended rover to me. I was able to secure a reliable, loving animal caregiver to care for my pets while I was away. Having Anne’s help gave me peace of mind. She’s honest and caring. I sincerely think Anne was a true blessing.”

About: Hi! I'm Christynn, and I'm 19! I’ve worked with animals for years, starting at a boarding facility when I was 16, where I learned daily care, handling, and health monitoring. I also completed a two‑year animal science program in high school that earned me my Veterinary Assistant Certification. Now I’m studying Animal Science at Virginia Tech, continuing to build both hands‑on and academic experience with animal care and welfare. Now that I’m home for the summer, I have plenty of time to take care of your pups! I’m available throughout the week and on weekends, and the only day with limited hours is Sunday, I’m free after 1pm. I’m excited to spend my summer giving your pets lots of attention, walks, and love. I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. In your home, I follow your routines closely, feeding schedules, walk times, crate use, and any house rules you already have in place. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and supervision so they feel secure while you’re away. I also keep an eye on behavior, eating, and overall well‑being, and I’ll always update you so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make your pet feel relaxed and cared for, and to give you total peace of mind while you’re gone.
“Amy is amazing! She took such good care of my cat while I was away. She always does. I came back to a calm, cuddly, healthy baby and I can never thank Amy enough for that. She’s the best!”

“Laura was so great! She responded to a last minute request quickly, came to meet my gang the next morning and provided plenty of photos during her drop in that evening... (which I LOVED seeing after a long day on a work trip). ❤️”
“Taylor was so attentive and friendly. She was always on time and reported everything. She even had to work around a storm- which our dog gets severe anxiety about. Our dog was extremely well taken care of and loved. We will definitely use Taylor again!”

“Savannah did a wonderful job taking care of Phoebe. She was attentive, gentle, and responsible, making sure Phoebe was comfortable and well cared for at all times. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Phoebe’s well-being, which gave great peace of mind.”

“Olivia did a great job with my cats! She came by to meet me and the cats before I left for my trip. She sent me pictures every day and let me know how they were doing. My two cats have very different personalities. One is very shy, and one is very outgoing. She did well with both of them. She followed my instructions well. I am very pleased!!”

“Katharine is so easy to work with. She is always on time and gives great updates and pics. She is always happy to help watch my puppy who can be crazy sometimes. We will definitely continue to book Katharine!”

“Brandi was excellent with the cats, and took lots of pictures. The updates on when she was arriving for a drop-in visit and when she was leaving were helpful. The cats really seemed to respond to her. I will definitely book her again in the future.”

Cathy Jo is a wonderful sitter who is super reliable and gets the job done right. She has taken care of my 19 year old kitty who needs medications for a few years now as well as taking care of my 4 backyard hens. Last summer we had an extreme heat wave and Cathy Jo ensured their waters were filled with ice and they were doing okay. I highly recommend!!

Meghan was great with my cats and dogs. She was very professional and took notes at our meet and greet. She didn't have to ask any questions while caring for my pets. She also didn't send an overabundance of pictures, usually just one picture of each animal.

I’m so grateful that a friend recommended rover to me. I was able to secure a reliable, loving animal caregiver to care for my pets while I was away. Having Anne’s help gave me peace of mind. She’s honest and caring. I sincerely think Anne was a true blessing.

I never hesitate to leave my cat in Kristina's care. He has a heart condition and takes two medications daily. I can always count on Kristina being there. She takes care of everything he needs (pills, food, water, litter box), and provides the petting that he loves, during her visits. You won't regret hiring Kristina!
