“Eliza did a great job walking Teddy! She was on time and took photos. I can tell she is comfortable with dogs and in tune with their needs. Teddy was excited to walk with her and was a happy dog when he came home! I will definitely be hiring her again for more walks.”

“Lexi went above and beyond. She not only cared for our cat (who loved her!!) but she also saved our home when our water heater exploded and was leaking all over our house. Seriously saved the day!!! 15/10 would recommend and will be booking with her again!!!”

“Taylor is amazing! We’ve trusted her multiple times to watch our dogs, and she truly cares about their wellbeing. Having Taylor as our pet sitter provides peace of mind when we are out of town. She’s the best!”

“Sydney was so communicative prior to and throughout the visit! She even sent me pix and texted me a question while she was at my house. I very much appreciated this and will definitely call on Sydney first whenever I need pet care.”

“Maggie took such great care of my kittens while I was away! The transparent communication--pictures, updates, videos, etc. was FABULOUS! They were in great hands with her! AND I would very much recommend to anyone in the area looking for the same level of care!”

“Meghan was great with my cats and dogs. She was very professional and took notes at our meet and greet. She didn't have to ask any questions while caring for my pets. She also didn't send an overabundance of pictures, usually just one picture of each animal.”

“Amy was absolutely amazing, I had no worries about my cats when normally I freak out leaving them. She sent amazing pictures of the cats and watered my plants. Thank you again so much!”

“Shelby was great! She was available last minute to stop by to feed our cat, and was very professional and had great communication! Highly recommend and will be using her in the future.”

“Emili really helped me out watching my cats last minute on a holiday weekend. She offered a meet-and-greet, but my schedule wouldnt allow. Regardless, she followed my instructions perfectly and I felt my cats were well cared for. I'm glad I booked Emili and recommend her to others.”

“Alyssa has been great for taking care of our dogs Finley and Poe. She provides regular updates/pictures, and records the time she spends with them to make you feel comfortable that your dogs are receiving the attention that they need. Highly recommend!”

“Chynna did a wonderful job caring for our two cats while we were on vacation! The litter box was nice and clean when we got back and the kitties seemed very pleased. She was super responsive and provided updates.”

About: I've been dog-walking and cat sitting since I was about 13-14 years old! I've cared for a range of dogs and cats, from young to old, and everything in between. I also have lots of experience with big dogs in particular. My family has had labs since I can remember, and I've cared for and walked two big dogs at the same time. I currently work from home, and usually have a pretty flexible schedule most days a week, so I'd be happy to fit your pet into my schedule! I do occasionally have a public involvement meeting that requires me to be elsewhere during the day, but happy to plan far in advance with you to make sure your pet's care needs are met. I provide a safe environment by making sure your pet is in a place they know best - their and your home. I find that pets who are in their own space are the most comfortable. I also have experience with needing to provide pills to cats, and can crate trained pups.
“AMY IS AWESOME. As our first experience with using Rover she made us feel completely comfortable with the entire thing. She even came in for a visit beforehand just to make sure that my pups needs were met. She really loves dogs too. Like really loves dogs. Book Amy to take care of your dogs and you can rest at ease.”
“Grace was awesome! She was so helpful with toby, always sending me picture updates of her drop in with Toby. I will definitely be reaching out to her again with any help I need with Toby:-)”

Kaleigh did a great job with our 2 kitties while we were away for the weekend! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dumbarton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
