About: I have many years of personal experience caring for cats, including senior cats and cats with chronic health conditions such as kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. My experience includes following detailed feeding and care routines, administering oral and topical medications, monitoring appetite and water intake, maintaining clean litter areas, and watching for changes in weight, energy, behavior and bathroom habits. I have also helped one of my own cats recover from a wound that required consistent cleaning, prescribed topical treatment and close monitoring. That experience reinforced the importance of patience, careful attention and following care instructions consistently, even when a cat is less than thrilled about the process! Caring for senior and special-needs cats has taught me to recognize subtle behavioral changes and respect each cat’s individual comfort level. Some cats welcome immediate affection, while others need time and space to build trust. I never force interaction, and I follow each owner’s instructions carefully while adapting my approach to the pet’s personality. My schedule is currently flexible, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon and evening visits based on availability. I keep my service area intentionally small so I can arrive reliably, spend the full scheduled time with each pet and avoid overbooking. Before a first booking, I prefer to meet the pet and review feeding instructions, medication routines, emergency contacts, veterinarian information, entry procedures and any household safety concerns. I follow written care instructions carefully, I will never force interaction with a nervous pet. I'll confirm that doors and entry points are secured, and provide photos and detailed updates after each visit.

About: I’ve taken care of friends’ dogs for years! I love meeting new dogs and creating bonds with them. At home, I have a senior dog who requires some extra care so am able to provide the same for your dog. I’m currently applying for jobs, so I have plenty of time to hang out with your pets! I’m available anytime of day that is convenient for you ! Aside from the basics of caring for your pet (feeding, water, walks, etc), I will spend some extra time playing and petting as needed to make sure they feel safe and happy!

About: I am very available in the summertime (I am a teacher), and I am available on day on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week, I am able to travel to your pet in the morning and evening (before and after work). On weekends and on school breaks I am very flexible. I currently am a teacher, so I am available morning and evening on weekdays, and I am available all day on weekends. I am also available all the time in the summer. I am very willing to come take care of your pets at your house. I am very welcoming to all behaviors and I will follow all expectations perfectly, as well as take care of your animal with as much love as you would!

I'm only taking cat clients at the moment, for drop-in visits*** Loving, caring pet-sitter with 35+ years of experience, taking care of your cats in YOUR home, where they are the most comfortable and relaxed. ***Please know that I am a NON-SMOKER. *** I will make your house appear lived-in while you're away, and will perform light duties like trash-to-curb service on your specific refuse day, watering plants, bringing in mail and packages, etc. I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I have a full-time job, but can do pop-in visits during my lunch break, or after 5pm during the week. On the weekends, time is of course much more flexible. Just give me your expectations and I will do my best to accomodate you. I will spend 20-30 minutes per visit providing food & water, clean litter boxes, and play & affection for your cats. I'm also happy to take lots of pictures! Please note that I do not board or care for pets in my home.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I have handled dogs as small as Pomeranians and as big as full grown pit bulls. I also have experience in caring for pups as young as 8 weeks and as old as 13 years. I currently work 9-5 until end of summer and spend the rest of my day with the pups. I go to the dog park almost daily. I wake up at 6/7am to feed the dogs let them out and have time with them before work. When I get back they eat dinner, go on a walk, and finish at a dog park before going home to relax. I have a privacy fenced in yard, lots of treats, two fur babies of my own who love to meet new friends and will keep your babies company. I allow dogs to be in the couch to enjoy comfort and snuggles if wanted. I also own a large crate for any pup to use if they need a space away to themselves.

About: I can cat-sit and house-sit in both Richmond and Loudoun County (NoVA), depending on the time of year! I am a full-time student at VCU, so I am in Richmond during the school year and go back home to NoVA during the summer and other breaks. In Richmond, I am available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I can do drop-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1 pm and 3 pm as well. I'll update my availability in NoVA a couple of weeks before each break! I will look to see how comfortable your kitty is and work towards making them as at ease as possible. I will work with your pet's routine and any strict scheduling so as not to disrupt their comfort. I can also adapt to create a flexible routine after getting to know your pet. I'll make sure they are fed on time, their water bowls are fresh and filled, litter boxes are clean, and they are getting ample pets and play! If requested, I can also do light cleaning and general upkeep tasks when I'm visiting your kitty/kitties, and of course, also while I'm house sitting. My ultimate goal is to make sure your furry friend is comfortable and satisfied :)

Put away anything that may be a choking hazard. I give my dogs affection and attention. I have them on a eating schedule and make sure they have plenty of filtered water and potty breaks. We walk our dogs around the neighborhood. We give them constant love.

About: I have had dogs, cats, rats, birds, etc. my entire life and there is not a critter in the world I don’t want to snuggle. No fear of reptiles, rodents, or insects either. I am working part time and am in self paced school to further my career so I have to plenty of time to give proper love and attention to your pet(s). I currently don’t provide pet sitting in my own home due to having two elderly cats with medical issues. They need calm, quiet, and a predictable schedule.

About: I started regularly cat sitting for my dad’s coworker when I was 14. It was the first job I ever got paid for! Since then I have continued to enjoy taking care of the cats of my friends and family members. While I definitely prefer cats, I have taken care of my sister’s dog (dachshund/rat terrier/chihuahua mix) dozens of times, have pet sat a friend’s Alaskan Malamute, and used to provide afternoon/evening care (food, walks, play time) for and frequently pet sit the best golden retriever I’ve ever met (RIP River). Pet sitting is a part-time gig for me. I am typically available on week nights and often during weekends to provide drop-in visits for cat care. I will follow whatever rules and instructions I am given. My priority is making sure that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well taken care of.
