“Chynna was so wonderful with our senior Bostons I felt like she looked after them like they were her own. I really appreciated all the photo updates and the extra attention she gave them while we were away! We will definitely have her watch our pups again 💯🧡”

“Rachel was amazing! Very professional and reliable. She treated my dogs like they were her own. Being that this was my first time leaving my dogs alone with someone I was nervous. I really appreciate how well it went. I definitely will be using Rover and Rachel again.”

“Kirby has been great helping me with daily let outs while I’m at work this week. She even went out of her way to schedule a meet and greet since my dog can be a little anxious. Highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth is fantastic! Clio requires special care, and Elizabeth was super communicative and comprehensive in our upfront prep, and was great during her drop-in visit to make sure everything went smoothly for Clio. She was attentive to our fur baby's needs, and Clio seemed to have a great time hanging with her! We will definitely be working with Elizabeth again!”

“Linsey was super communicative and gave lots of attention to our two kitties over the Thanksgiving holiday. She kept an eye on things for us and kept us informed about the pets. We would highly recommend and will plan to utilize her services again in the future!”

“Elijah did an excellent job taking care of our cats while we were on vacation. He was quick to communicate, and he went over and above to help take care of not only the pets, but also the house while we were gone.”

“Danyelle is AMAZING!!! Took such great care of my boys over a holiday. Gave me daily updates and even put up with some of their eating "quirks", which isn't always easy. But she was super patient with them and gave them all the love they needed while I was gone. I was so super happy and relaxed to know they were in such great and caring hands. Heck, even just the trek to my trash can for litter box cleaning was an extra effort in and it's self. Can't recommend Danyelle enough!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Alyssa. They took such thoughtful care of Mabel and Sweet Pea, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well-loved while we were away. It was such a relief knowing our cats were in kind, reliable hands. We would happily book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for truly attentive care.”

“Holland did a wonderful job of looking after my cat, Lucy. She was always on time, took plenty of pictures/videos, and was even able to give her eye drops. I knew that Lucy was in good hands, and appreciated her thoughtfulness. Will definitely rebook again!”

“Haven was absolutely wonderful with my two senior cats, Brother and Bitty. Both are on transdermal methimazole, and she handled their medication confidently and consistently. She sent two photos every morning and evening, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Her communication was reliable and reassuring, and it was clear she genuinely cared about my cats. She also went above and beyond—cleaning up cat vomit without hesitation and even turning off a TV that had accidentally been left on. Those extra details really stood out. I came home to happy, calm cats and a well-kept home. I would absolutely book Haven again and highly recommend her, especially for senior pets or those with medical needs.”

I provide pet care in Richmond and Charlottesville and the surrounding areas, though I am also happy to travel to other states with advanced notice. I have a breadth of experience caring for my former pets and my home, as well as house and pet sitting for friends and for my clients. I grew up on a farm and cared for goats, horses, cows, dogs, cats, sheep, and poultry. I make an excellent house/petsitter due to my experience with and love for animals and my tidy and loving personality! ** I charge $45 / night for 1-6 night house stays, but have a sliding scale for longer sits (negotiable at the time of request). I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. I’m happy with staying overnight for housesitting or sharing my home for boarding! I have the utmost care and respect for my clients pets and homes and treat them as if they were my own. “I continue to book Jeffrey to cat sit because he is so thorough, communicates incredibly well, and goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for my cat! As always, I highly recommend booking Jeffrey for your pet sitting needs :)”

“Nick’s care and communication have been absolutely phenomenal, and I truly appreciated it. I could tell Sebastian felt well loved and cared for through the pictures that he sent during my time away! This was my first time using Rover, and I'm sold. I'll definitely keep Nick in mind as I travel frequently, and we've had some family shifts so care is not always as readily available.”

“Maggie is so kind and wonderful with my two cats. She’s so thoughtful and detail oriented and I really appreciated her help while we were away. Maggie is a great rover!”

“Alyssa was a great pet sitter! She took care of my indoor cat for two weeks. She met him beforehand and he warmed up to her quickly. She listened to and followed all instructions. Alyssa was also very easy to work with and responsive to messages. She shared great pictures of him daily, which we really appreciated. She played with him, brushed him, and feed him (and cleaned up one spit up). She clearly has a great connection to pets and I highly recommend her.”

“Shannon did a great job checking in on my two cats while I was away. She sent pictures and messages daily which I really loved. Will definitely call her again when I go out of town:-).”

“Kacey was so great with Rosie! She made sure she had everything she needed and took lots of photos for us. Definitely recommend her for all your pets!”
