About: Hi! I'm Heather, and I'd love to care for your pets while you're away! I've been an animal lover my whole life. Growing up, I had a cat, a guinea pig, and an English Mastiff, which gave me experience with pets of all sizes and personalities. One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is getting to know each pet's unique personality—whether they're playful, shy, energetic, cuddly, or independent. Every pet is different, and I enjoy earning their trust and making them feel comfortable while their family is away. I know how important it is to have someone reliable caring for your pets because they truly are part of the family. I provide attentive care, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, medication (if needed and discussed), and plenty of affection. I especially love taking dogs on long walks and making sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I also believe in keeping pet parents updated, so you can expect lots of photos, videos, and messages during each visit. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. My schedule is flexible! I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, making me available throughout much of the day. I'm also generally available on Saturdays and Sundays. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, I'm available before 8:00 a.m. and after 5:10 p.m. If you're located near Scott's Addition, I may also be able to stop by during my lunch break. I have reliable transportation and am happy to travel to your home. I'm also more than happy to bring in mail, water plants, and help keep your home looking lived-in while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because my partner and I already spend a lot of time caring for and spending quality time with our own cat. We both genuinely enjoy being around animals and making them feel comfortable, loved, and part of the family. We also love going on long walks after work each day, so having a dog companion along with us would fit perfectly into our routine and lifestyle. On weekends, we have even more flexibility and time to dedicate to walks, playtime, cuddles, and attentive pet care. We understand how important consistency and attention are when caring for pets, and we’re happy to follow each pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I always try to care for pets in a way that keeps them as comfortable and stress-free as possible by following their normal routine closely. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, litter box or potty routines, and any specific instructions their owner provides. In a client’s home, I understand that pets feel safest in their familiar environment, so I aim to maintain their routine and give them plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while their owner is away. I also love sending photo and update check-ins so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life: Owned 4 and raised/trained 16 service dogs in training for children with disabilities. I run half marathons, so I'll run with your pup if that's what they like! I have plenty of toys that I've collected over the years for your dog to play with! I love teaching dogs new tricks and commands, and would love to work with your fur baby so they can show you something special when you return! I take pictures constantly, so you will always have an update on your pup. I am comfortable with all breeds, and have the most experience with labs, goldens, and doodles. I am happy to give your pup a bath for a small fee so they come back to you looking and feeling great! I also have experience teaching basic commands to your dog, and would be more than happy to discuss training programs if that’s something you’re interested in! I also have experience with kittens and cats, having had 3 of my own. I'm comfortable with super friendly cats, or cats that want to keep to themselves. I will make sure your cat has food, water, and a clean litter box while you are away. In addition I can offer care for any gardens/houseplants that you have as well! While I work during the week, I am still committed to providing the best care for your pets. This will especially be true for pets that are use to having their people work during the day! This will provide a routine for your furry family member while you are away! While I live in an apartment, I am close to a park if your dog is friendly and enjoys going for walks! I am also very comfortable caring for cats and all that that entails while the cat stays in your home, usually where they are the most comfortable.

About: I have five years of professional dog care in many different spheres. I have previously managed two different kennels, groomed many dogs around Richmond, and am K9-CPR certified. I have experience training puppies, adults, and seniors basic obedience, leash manners, and beginner agility. I am well versed in administering medications. Prior to working with dogs as a career, I have experience caring for many dogs over my life, from family pets to petsitting in the neighborhood. I am happy to provide enrichment activities for your animal as well, such as bubble play, doga (dog yoga), or drives to hiking locations. I have also recently taken a course on dog massage! I am committed to being completely available for any of your pet needs! My main focus is comfortable care for your critter, no matter how early or late that may be. I feel that years of experience in caring for animals who are being boarded, hanging out at daycare, or getting a stylish spa day have taught me so much in how to interact and build trust with many animals no matter the situation. I believe a combination of patience, kindness, intuition, and some snackos can really foster a safe, positive environment for everybody.

About: I love dogs as I’ve had many throughout my childhood and adulthood. My family has always been a big pet family and so I completely understand the love and attention pets need and deserve. After all, they are an important part of our lives! I am currently a student on summer break, so my schedule is quite open and free at the moment. This allows me to be flexible with fitting pet care into my daily schedule. I can work around your schedule! In my house, I help with feeding, walking, playing, and overall petting and loving on our dog. I love to walk my dog at home and play with her using her favorite toys.
