“Cathy-Jo is amazing! She gave my special needs cat pills without any issue, and she gave us consistent pictures and updates! I definitely recommend her to take care of your furbabies!”

“Helen is wonderful! She responds quickly and was able to accommodate last minute requests. She is great with our puppy always keeping her entertained. We will definitely continue to use Helen’s services.”

“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”

“As always Sierra was amazing! She acclimated to addressing the needs of our new puppy while still attending to our older dogs every need. It is clear that her top priority is the wellbeing of our pups. I can’t thank her enough for the care she gives our dogs!”

“Taylor did a great job with our dog Arden! She was very communicative and provided daily updates to go along with the photos. Got back home from our trip to a happy pup. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Cathy is AMAZING! She took such good care of our dog Tanner while we were out of town for a week. Tanner is older nearly 14 years old and she was so good with him. He loved his walks and all the attention he got. Kathy was punctual, her updates were very detailed we knew exactly what was happening when she went for the drop in visits. She really took care of Tanner like he was her own! I highly, highly recommend Cathy! I can’t say enough about her professionalism and love for animals!”

“Although my cat was initially wary of a stranger, Alexandra made fast friends with him and I felt better knowing he wasn't too lonely while I was gone. Thanks Alexandra!”

About: I've owned dogs, cats & horses my entire life. I currently have 2 rescue dogs, 2 cats and a horse that are all treated like human children. I'm familiar with both young and elderly animals that require medical assistance. I work from home in Glen Allen. I have a flexible schedule and can check on your pet during the day and before/after work. I am comfortable with walking all dogs, crating dogs, working on commands and especially providing love and treats if desired! Happy to also prepare lick mats or other stimulation while you're away.
“Corrine was amazing! This was our first time away from the cats and having someone check in on them made us feel so much better. Corrine took care of litter boxes, feedings, and playtime. We could tell they were in good spirits and had been well taken care of upon our return!”

“Laura was great. It was comforting knowing she was here to check on our puppy while we were gone. She was very punctual which was important for our puppy who isn’t quite house trained. We highly recommend Laura.”

“Once again, Steven stepped up when the unexpected happened! I failed to provide the alarm access - and he had to deal with that ALARM sounding and the impact on the kitties. He is always calm and handles all issues with professionalism. Thanks (again!), Steven!”

“Allyson was wonderful, punctual for every visit and communicated very well. She even squeezed in a last minute visit for us when our flight got delayed. Would definitely have her watch our kitties again.”

“Casey was great for Ally. She was punctual and took good care of Ally. She seemed patient (Ally is a super senior at 16) and Ally seemed to like her (she does prefer women over men). Overall, Ally was well cared for and received the level of care befitting a senior animal.”

“This was a difficult sit for Lauren. Mal was approaching 18 years old and was not eating well. Several days into our trip, he took a turn for the worse. Lauren could not contact our veterinary because it was the weekend. We advised her to contact my daughter who was our contact on the Rover site. Lauren was able to pass our key to my son-in-law who sat with our cat as he passed away. Lauren was very professional.”

“Very communicative and was awesome! My mom and I live about ten minutes away from each other, but we both went on vacation so we booked Krystal for both of us with close times together. She made it work and worked with us on it. Highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
