“We had a great experience with Veronica, who helped us with cat and house sitting. She took wonderful care of our two cats, making sure they were fed, comfortable, and given attention while we were away. We also appreciated that the house was well-kept when we returned. Communication was smooth throughout, with regular updates that gave us peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Veronica to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and we look forward to reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Camryn was great. She was very communicative and we could tell she cared nicely for our two boys. She even noticed one of our boys had some itchy ears and offered to clean them out. Hopefully she is available next time we have to go out of town.”

“Carolyn was wonderful. She took good care of Charlie and was careful to follow instructions including administering medicine and following physical therapy instructions. She left the house very clean and orderly. We would love to use her again.”

“Mikella was great with my pup. He was really apprehensive about a new sitter in the beginning but within a short time she had him comfortable and snoozing in her lap. She sent multiple pics throughout her short stay with Potato, made me feel like he was well taken care of. Definitely would book with her again!”

“Ajax did a great job with our Great Dane! He assured me that everything was under control while we were out and checked in with us periodically. We will definitely look to use his services again in the future!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Chantal!! We had a change of plans and she canceled her own plans to stay an extra day, which was an absolute life saver. What’s more, she took incredible care of the dogs - they are clearly happy and had lots of great walks and playtime throughout the time she was here. She even played fetch with our super active pup. And finally, our house was SPOTLESS and well taken care of - even our plants were happy! We will 100% book her again and I’m sure the dogs can’t wait to have her back.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover who has grown up with family cats and has experience caring for cats of different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality, whether they’re playful, shy, cuddly, or independent. I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and attentive caring for your pet while you’re away, and I always aim to make cats feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their own environment. From feeding and litter box care to playtime, treats, and plenty of affection, I’m happy to give your cat the care and attention they deserve. I love meeting new cats and spending time with them, and I’d be excited to care for yours!. I work full time but have an hour long break. I also have a reliable personal car so I can travel to homes during my lunch break, ensuring that pets are taken care of throughout the day I visit homes often and send updates and pictures to families, ensuring that everyone sees their fur baby often. Litter boxes and water bowls are cleaned daily. While home owners are away, I also make sure to bring in any mail and anything else that shows up during my stay.
“Previsit really put Ellie and us at ease. Becky arrived on time and asked questions to be sure she understood everything. Photos and videos were sent to update us during the day and evening. Ellie was relaxed and happy when we got home. Will definitely use her again!”

“Savannah and Tillie are now besties! Savannah was amazing—she took great care of my Tillie Bean and my home. She sent regular updates, brought in packages as needed, and kept everything clean and well-maintained while I was away. I’ll definitely have her stay at my home and watch Tillie again in the future.”

“Nick took care of our pup and house over a long weekend. He was a great communicator leading up to and during the support. He kept the pup happy, well walked, medicated, and relaxed all weekend while leaving the house exactly as we left it. Highly recommend if you need a pup sitter. Thanks!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Mark! He was so kind and attentive, truly gave our two dogs the absolute best possible care while we were out of town. He was easy to communicate with and took wonderful care of our home while staying there. While away, a storm blew through Richmond and knocked down the electric line running across our backyard. Mark was so helpful at communicating everything going on, and took our dogs to a hotel two nights to make sure they were comfortable and safe. We will 100% be using Mark next time we need care for our dogs and recommending him to anyone needing a sitter!!!”

I will filter clean the litter boxes of cats once a day and will replace litter as needed. About: Every dog, cat, and critter gets my full attention, patience, and genuinely endless affection. Your pet will be in hands that actually care, not just someone checking a box. I pay keen attention to their needs, wait patiently for pets to trust me, and show up exactly when I say I will. I'm a law student heading into my second year of school and I have flexibility this summer for regular visits or last-minute help. I've spent years caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and new clients and I'm comfortable with all kinds of personalities. I pay close attention to each animal's cues, take the time to build genuine trust, and am someone you can count on — on time, every time. While I don't have pets of my own right now, I'm surrounded by them constantly and there is honestly nowhere I'd rather be. My schedule is flexible. If it works for you, it works for me. Above all else, I believe communication and timeliness are everything. You'll always hear from me promptly, whether it is confirming a booking, giving an update mid-visit, or letting you know about anything unexpected. No guessing, no chasing me down, just reliable, responsive care you can count on. When I'm in your home, your pet's comfort and routine come first. I follow your instructions closely including feeding schedules, walking routes, any quirks or preferences because familiarity and consistency are what keep animals calm and happy in their parents absence. I treat every home with the same care and respect I'd want shown in my own, and I'm always in close communication so you're never left wondering how things are going. Further, I know that inviting someone new into your home and trusting them with your pets is a big deal, please be assured I'm direct, honest, and an open book.
“Emily was great - Super friendly with both dogs - Very attentive to their needs - She stringently followed our guidelines - Excellent communication - We're already using her again in Dec. '25”

“Michelle did a great job with our geriatric cats. Medications were properly administered and the cats quickly warmed up to her. She also kept us informed with texts and pictures and dealt with some unscheduled package deliveries.”

“Tori was absolutely wonderful with my dog! She also house-sat and did a phenomenal job, following all instructions to a tee. She even went an extra mile and did some light cleaning before departing my home- I was super appreciative of that. Additionally, I had a last minute change to my schedule due to flight delays and she was highly flexible with this. Tori is very thoughtful and considerate and cared for my dog and my home while I was away for a couple days out of state and with a time zone difference. I got daily updates as requested and was reassured that my dog was in good hands. I highly recommend Tori as a pet sitter and will be rebooking with her again in the future!!”

“Kaylan was fantastic! I needed a last minute dogsitter pre-Christmas for a whole week and she came through in a big way. Her communication was great and Lacey loved her. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and recommend her highly!”

Short Pump pet parents share their Rover experiences
Chantal was AMAZING!!!! We didn't worry even one second about the care of our two dogs, as they showed such evident comfort around her right away. She was communicative, kind, and left our home looking spotless. We would absolutely have her back to care for them. HIGHLY recommend Chantal to anyone looking for reliable care for their animals.

Alethea was so easy to work with and went above and beyond our expectations. Her daily photos and updates made us feel confident that our pups were in good hands and getting all of the love and attention they need. I would highly recommend her! We have already booked her for future house and pets-sitting needs.

Adalía was amazing. She’s kind, professional and communicative. She took excellent care of our home and of Mochi. We are grateful to know our pup continued with her routine and received plenty of love. Also, the surplus of great photos was a very welcomed bonus. We will absolutely turn to Adalía again in the future.

Eva was wonderful! Very attentive to my Dolly. She made sure to keep me updated with photos and she reached out if she was unsure about anything. She stayed over the holiday for us and was very accommodating to a last minute change we made. I came home to a handwritten note of her stay with Dolly. I highly recommend her.
