“I contacted Ryan and Jennifer because I needed someone to walk my dog as I recovered from recent back surgery. I was pleased to learn that they were very close by and familiar with my neighborhood. So far we’re set up for three walks per week and my dog loves going out with them. They have been on time for each visit and keep me informed on how the walk went.”

About: Raised to love both cats and dogs, I’ve often looked after pets of all kinds for friends, family, and neighbors 😊 (As a teen, I once raised a litter of seven kittens from birth and found loving homes for them all! And I once babysat a friend’s hedgehog for a month while she was studying abroad.) My husband and I recently lost our beloved GSP to lymphoma, so I welcome the opportunity to look after sweet local doggos ❤️🐾 I work from home and enjoy long walks! I’m currently between gigs (just finished my PhD and am seeking a full-time position), so my schedule is super flexible right now! Plus, I always make a point of taking at least one good walk a day rain or shine ☀️😊🌧️ We just got a brand new fence for our backyard, so it’s perfect for both potty breaks and sprinties 😊 We also have a large crate and dog bed (w/ clean blankies!) suitable for most any sized dog, so if you board with us, your doggo will be comfy cozy 🐶 I’m also an experienced house/pet sitter, so I’m prepared to meet whatever needs you might have if I’m booked for a house call 👍
About: I have been a dog lover since I was a kid. I have been taking care of dogs from the past 20 years. In my coarse of dog care, I have dealt with dogs ranging from puppies to senior dogs. I have also gotten the opportunity to take care of injured and disabled dogs making me proficient in handling dogs with any behavior. ✨ A Real Home: No kennels. Just couches, sunny spots, and a peaceful house with a secure yard for stretching their legs. ✨ Family, Not Clients: Your pup gets all the love, gentle talk, and belly rubs they're used to. We send you happy photo updates so you can truly relax. ✨ Your Routine, Honored: I keep their normal schedule—meal times, walk times, and all the little quirks that make them them. ✨ Peace of Mind for You: The greatest gift I give isn't just to your dog, but to you: the ability to enjoy your time away, knowing they are safe, happy, and cherished. Because they deserve a vacation, too. I’m a home maker taking care of my two kids going to school. I see dogs as my way to happiness while I’m at home alone. Most of my house chores are done by the time kids leave to school and I would like to spend time on something I’m passionate about and hence I choose pet sitting. I myself have a GSD who is 6 years old and very pet friendly. He loves to make new friends and he is neutered.😉 I have a temperature controlled garage completely converted to a dog play area to provide a spacious and fenced zone. In addition we have front yard and backyard for occasional outdoor plays. I take dogs for a dog walk every 4 hrs and if owners prefer, I will take them to a dog park daily. I provide attention, love and care by ensuring proper nutrition, daily exercise, and regular grooming to keep them happy and secure.

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, growing up in a family that always had two dogs. As the eldest, I naturally took on a lot of the responsibility, feeding, walking, bathing, cleaning up, helping with training, and of course giving plenty of love and playtime. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also cared for neighbors’ dogs and cats, always making sure to follow their instructions carefully so each pet feels comfortable and cared for just the way their family would want.😊 Working from home gives me the flexibility to be fully present for your pets throughout the day. I naturally take breaks often, which I love to spend playing, walking, or giving them attention so they feel happy and cared for. Since I can bring my work with me, I’m also able to stay in your home as long as needed; making sure your pets have company, comfort, and consistent care without ever feeling alone. When I care for pets in their own home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar space. I follow your routines closely so everything feels consistent for them. Since I work from home, I can spend plenty of time with your pets, giving them attention throughout the day. My goal is to treat them like family and make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and never feel alone.
About: I have had some sort of animal in my house since I can remember from dogs to cats to little critters! For my older, bigger, hyper pup we had a professional trainer train us on how to keep him under control, works wonders!! I am completely comfortable with all types of dogs from Chihuahua’s to Pits. The type of dog you own is my last concern, the safety of your pup is my first! My current pup is Biggie, just a big ole cuddle bug who has anxiety at times. Ive been working with him and he has gotten significantly better, that being said i now also have experience with hesitant dogs who need a little more time to adapt! I work as a massage therapist, 9am-5pm Sunday- Thursday, and 9-1pm Thursday and Saturdays This fluctuates a little but the hours I listed are the longest my days will be so if anything I would be going in later and/or getting out earlier I unfortunately do not do dog sitting in my home, i have 2 cats that are not too fond of new animals so just to keep everyone happy and healthy i avoid bringing new animals in my home
“Shannon was huge help walking our dog Nora after my foot surgery. She was responsible, communicative, and took some cute pictures of Nora during their walks! We will definitely book again.”

I’m comfortable with animals of all age ranges, as well as all kinds of species and breeds. I also have plenty of experience with higher needs animals that require special care, and animals that require medication. If you’re looking for drop-in visits, walks, or an overnight sitter for your pets, I would love to see if I’m a good fit for them! I will try to stick as closely as possible to the routine they are used to, to ensure their comfort as much as I can. My schedule is completely open currently, so I am available to care for your babies at just about any time. “Andreea was great with both of our dogs. She even got our younger pup to warm up to her quickly and explore outside of her comfort zone a bit. She has a calm yet friendly demeanor, which was perfect for our dogs.”

“I was very thankful Lainey was able to meet with me on such short notice and start right away. She communicated in a very timely manner and sent me reports and pictures after each walk. Lainey was very patient with my two senior dogs and they were very happy to be able to get out for a walk while I was away.”

“Brandi is very reliable, caring towards my dog and accommodating. She also helped us to better understand the Rover app and how to utilize all its features. I would highly recommend her.”
“Mark took great care of our puppy. He was very quick to respond to my request (it was somewhat short notice) and was a lifesaver. He kept us updated and paid attention to our dogs needs. I highly recommend Mark and will be using him in the future.”

About: Hi, I'm Rebecca! I'm certified through NAPPS, and I'm available to do house sitting, drop ins, or walks. I'm focused on caring for others' pets as I'd want mine cared for, and keeping their home routines. I treat them all like they're someone's baby. Whether they're anxious and need comfort, or playful and need a friend while you're gone, I'd love to help your pets have a relaxing time at home. I value clear communication on both ends, any helpful instructions from you, and knowing how you like things done. Every pet is different, and your personal requirements and preferences are important. More about me: I've lived with pets my whole life, and started helping with their care as soon as I was old enough. Dogs and cats were my first animals, and I love to have a dog for company while enjoying the outdoors and nice weather. I've walked and sat for dogs, cats, and quite a few other pets of friends and neighbors over the years. Pet care has always been something I've truly enjoyed, and I'm so happy to be taking that in a more professional direction. I love what I do! If you have any pets that aren't dogs or cats, feel free to ask. I do have some experience with pets who need medication, and I'm comfortable giving oral or topical meds. I just ask for any special needs or instructions to be clear and detailed so I can give the best care possible. Fun Fact: I actually completed a veterinary assistant certification course in Maryland many years ago. I never ended up with employment relevant to that, but the experience was worth it. The educational clinic hours were great for becoming more comfortable handling different breeds and sizes. *At this time, I'm seeking more up to date pet care education, with a plan to continue building my knowledge and skills. A future goal for me is Fear Free certification. I also enjoy finding other pet care education resources, and love learning new, helpful things! **I'm occasionally available with short notice, especially for short sits that are close by, and you're welcome to ask. My schedule is pretty flexible and open right now, and any questions are welcome. I'm available on most holidays as well, and booking ahead of time is welcome of course. I give personalized care for pets in the comfort of their own homes while their families are away. It's less stress for everyone when the pets are relaxed and happy!
About: Hi I’m Corinne! I’ve loved animals since I was very young and took care of my dog since we adopted her in middle school. I began pet sitting in middle school and have taken care of a large range of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, and even a duck! Whether your pet needs long walks, quiet company, or extra pets, I’m down for the job! Additionally, I have spent over 100 hours volunteering at my local animal shelter during the summer and I’m continuing my animal knowledge as a Wildlife Conservation major at Virginia Tech. I am currently a student at Virginia Tech, but have lots of flexibility with my schedule especially in the evenings and weekends for pet care! I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I’m reliable, communicative, and can always send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and safe while you’re away. I am comfortable cleaning up after your pet in a capacity including accidents and litter boxes.
Short Pump dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ryan and Jennifer are the absolute best!! They are flexible, reliable, and communicative. When we moved to Richmond, finding someone to care for Rocky while we worked was a top priority. Ryan and Jennifer have exceeded all of our expectations! I could not recommend them enough.
Camille has been great to work with. She came over to meet our puppy to ensure it was a good fit before we booked her. She arrives on time and stays the duration of the walk and sometimes even a few minutes extra. She walks our puppy and plays with him. She takes great photos and I enjoy reading the recap for the day.

Evelyn is amazing! So happy I went with her. She comes every time on time and if there is a problem, she let's me know in advance (which only happened twice in the 2 months and it was only a time difference that was within the hr of the original time). I even had to use her on a day she was not scheduled, last minute on a weekend night and she made it happen. Jada will miss her when we leave Richmond!
