I am an animal lover with a wealth of experience! I have two dog of my own and I am their primary care taker. I have had a dog in my household for over 20 years. Growing up I always had cats in the house, having as many as 12 rescued indoor outdoor cats living in the house at one time. We ran an unofficial shelter of sorts, rescuing the cats and rehoming them in safe, loving situations. I have experience around dogs and cats from puppies and kittens to seniors. I have experience pet sitting for friends, family, and clients. I also have some experience with special needs pups, having had blind and deaf pups in my household and dog sitting pups with epilepsy. I have spent time with pups with dementia, dog compulsive disorder, pica, and hoarding. If I see something that seems out of the ordinary to me or that I have not yet encountered I will fully research the condition to find the best possible explanation and will of course always let you know of any and all observations I may have. I will get to know your pet well during our time together, but no one knows them better than you. I also have experience with oral medication administration to both dogs and cats. I spent time working as a professional dog trainer as well, so I can handle any temperament of dog. I volunteered as a dog walker at the Richmond SPCA for a year prior to starting on Rover. Until it closed, I spent my weekend mornings volunteering at Central Purrk, the cat cafe. Central Purrk was filled with adoptable cats that I helped care for. I have experience with many different temperaments of dog and cat and will give your pet the special attention he or she needs. I will treat your pet like they are my own!
