About: I’ve been pet sitting for several years and have always had a dog in my house since I was 4. I even volunteer at the SPCA in my free time at college. I know how to safely walk, play, and take care of a dog. I’m working part-time this summer, so I will be free many days and would love to help you out! I only work at night so most days I will be completely free. I know how to handle dogs on a leash and how to care for them safely and effectively. I’ve always had a dog of my own so I have lots of experience in ensuring their safety at all times.
“Everything from the meet and greet to the drop in visits were well communicated and she was so nice. I felt so comfortable my whole visit away and got the best updates and pictures. Will use again. Thank you!”
About: I have been dog, cat, and house sitting for over 2 years now. I recently relocated to the Richmond area and joined Rover to continue sitting as my previous clients were through word of mouth. I have a background that includes caring for dogs of all sizes (dachshunds, corgis, aussies, doodles, terriers, dobermans, newfies). Growing up with dogs in my family, I have an innate understanding of their needs and affectionate nature. Contact me to discuss how I can cater to your pet’s specific needs! I work a full time job and do go into the office 3 days most weeks. This is why my availability is usually Friday to Monday. I will work with your pets needs to ensure they are well cared for and happy around both of our schedules. I’ve honed my skills in creating a safe and comfortable environment for pets by growing up with a dog always in the house and through my previous 2 years of pet & house sitting. Your pets welfare is my top priority, and to do this, I’ll need to know as much as possible about them before the job starts. This includes a meet and greet where we can both ask questions, and a mutual observation of interacting with your pet. I look forward to providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
“This was our first time using Rover. Riley was helpful in explaining how it worked. She watched our cat for several visits for two days. For each visit she sent information on how the visit went. Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! He ate well during her visits and she was kind to clean up the dirty cat bowls each time! It’s also very comforting knowing Riley has experience working in a vet clinic.”

“Mark was excellent with my 2 dogs and 3 cats! My dogs took to him the very first time meeting him which is very unusual as one is a very skittish mini Australian shepherd especially around men, but she immediately went right to him. Mark updated us with each visit and responded quickly to all texts. He really seemed to enjoy being around our gang and really spoiled everyone thoroughly while we were away. I actually believe that the dogs were a bit disappointed when we arrived home as they were hoping for some more loving from Mark! I highly recommend Mark and hope he is available the next time we need a pet sitter!”

“Henry loves having Katie check on him! She gives him treats we leave out and brushings. Always takes photos which is so nice when away! Would always choose Katie to watch our pets :)”

“Shannon has been fantastic! She is very detailed with her care of our dog Hobbes. She has always been there when we need her and done a great job! I never have to worry if she will be there when she says she will. If you are searching for a great dog walker I can say your search is over because you found her!”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, growing up in a family that always had two dogs. As the eldest, I naturally took on a lot of the responsibility, feeding, walking, bathing, cleaning up, helping with training, and of course giving plenty of love and playtime. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also cared for neighbors’ dogs and cats, always making sure to follow their instructions carefully so each pet feels comfortable and cared for just the way their family would want.😊 Working from home gives me the flexibility to be fully present for your pets throughout the day. I naturally take breaks often, which I love to spend playing, walking, or giving them attention so they feel happy and cared for. Since I can bring my work with me, I’m also able to stay in your home as long as needed; making sure your pets have company, comfort, and consistent care without ever feeling alone. When I care for pets in their own home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar space. I follow your routines closely so everything feels consistent for them. Since I work from home, I can spend plenty of time with your pets, giving them attention throughout the day. My goal is to treat them like family and make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and never feel alone.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover who has grown up with family cats and has experience caring for cats of different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality, whether they’re playful, shy, cuddly, or independent. From feeding and litter box care to playtime, treats, and plenty of affection, I’m happy to give your cat the care and attention they deserve. I love meeting new cats and spending time with them, and I’d be excited to care for yours!. I work full time but have an hour long break. I also have a reliable personal car so I can travel to homes during my lunch break, ensuring that pets are taken care of throughout the day I visit homes often and send updates and pictures to families, ensuring that everyone sees their fur baby often. Litter boxes and water bowls are cleaned daily. While home owners are away, I also make sure to bring in any mail and anything else that shows up during my stay.
“I will definitely book with Alexis the next time I need a pet sitter. You can really tell she has a heart for animals. She was extremely kind and took great care of my sweet pet Nugs. She asked to come a day early and learn how to take care of my Nugs and to pick up the house key and I loved the initiative. I also loved getting the opportunity to meet her before she took care of Nugs. Nugs does not warm up to everyone quickly, but was giving Alexis kisses (cute little licks) during her visits. I have nothing but good things to say about Alexis and would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter! :)”
“Kayla and Demitrius were awesome. They took great care of our four cats over the long holidays. In fact, they really went above and beyond by also feeding a stray cat we've been looking after - they didn't have to do thar but they truly are animal lovers. Our littlest cat is naturally very suspicious but even he had warmed up to them by the end of the holiday. We will definitely reach out to them first every time we need cat sitters.”
About: I've been around animals since before I could walk, and have always had a way with them. My family and I lived in a trailer park when I was little. My mother always said from the moment I was born the animals flocked to me and there was no animal I couldn't get my hands on. My sister and I used to play with the stray cats outside of Grandpa's house. Pop would always mention how the cat we were holding would never let anyone close enough. Mom would often find "miss kitty in my crib with me. As I got older miss kitty passed away, but had left behind some kittens in her stead. Mom had decided to keep one and named him pudgy. He was a long hair black cat with the tiniest bit of white on his underbelly. I can remember running up and down the hallway and tap my shoulder as if trying to play tag with my sister and I. Pudgy and I had been the best of friends for about 18 years, till his passing. During the years he and I were together, he would often come running anytime he heard me sniffle or begin to cry. There were many other animals that we had over the years as well. Dogs, chickens, goats, rabbits, rodents, amphibians, horses they've been a vital part of my life. But no matter what I always come back to many best friend and the furry felines. If you're looking for a caring, detail oriented, and experienced fur sitter/walker, look no further. From feathered birds no bigger than your hand, to strong horses, I've handled just about anything. While I am new to this app, I am no stranger to animals. Wether they are young babies or older seniors, I would be more than happy to care for your pets. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and I hope to hear from you soon. I am currently working on getting my EVOC certification for Royal Medical. I will not have my updated schedule until after March 29. When I watch pets I do generally have my 5 yo with me. Availability -pending I have a dog pen out back and a cable that we use with our dogs fairly frequently when the weather is nice. I also have a play pen that the pups play in.
“I booked Farah to look after my 2 cats over Christmas break and she did a wonderful job! Both my kitties loved Farah and were obviously well cared for. I have one cat who’s very shy but he warmed up to Farah very quickly. One of my cats required oral medication and the other needed his teeth brushed daily, both Farah was able to do successfully. Her prompt communication also kept me assured while I was away. The house was tidy/clean when I got back; one of my cats has a habit of kicking litter out of his box and Farah was on top of vacuuming it up. Thank you Farah!”

About: I’ve been passionate about animals since I was child, caring for our family and neighbors pets, rescuing wounded critters, volunteering at the local SPCA, and playing with all furry (or not), creatures! I am very active and can walk for miles! I am responsible, dependable, and will provide exceptional service! I work part time with a flexible schedule. I don’t travel for work and I have my own transportation which can accommodate multiple pets of all shapes and sizes. Currently, our family doesn’t own any pets and I miss that interaction! I have a fenced in back yard and live in a neighborhood full of side walks and walking trails with lots furry friends to play with!
