“Julianne was easy to reach, flexible and has great communication before, during and after the visit. She is reliable and took the time to play with our puppy and even sent me pictures. We will definitely use her again.”

“Sarah did great with our cats…very reliable and a good cat photographer! She spent a good 30 mins each visit. Kept things tidy, even wound our grandfather clock for us. Would love to book her again.”

“Upon meeting Lianna we immediately got over our appreciation of having someone we didn’t know pet and house sit for us while we were away. Our older dog and cat are too set in their ways to board anywhere. Lianna asked the right questions and provided great answered to ours. She provided great responsive communication when needed and never pestered us with trivial stuff. Ultimately she left our house every bit as clean as when we left, taking care of all laundry and dishes before leaving. We will certainly call on Lianna again for absolutely worry free house and pet sitting service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“This was our first time using Rover, our first time leaving our dog alone and we could not be happier with Danica! She is an outstanding pet sitter. She is caring, communicative and professional. Our 6 month old puppy was very comfortable with her and Danica was sure to take her out several times during her drop-in visit and sent us a few pics too! We look forward to having her pet sit or drop-in in the future?”

“Shannon is beyond amazing, and I would not hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone! She sends the best pictures, respects your space, communicates quickly and is just an amazing sitter.”

About: I’m a graduating law student looking to take pup-filled study breaks while I prepare for the bar exam. I have a big cat named Perry and I love dogs. I’ve had at least one dog my entire life, and most of my family members have as well, so I have a lot of experience with many different breeds. I hope you’ll trust me to take care of your beloved pets while you’re away. Even shy dogs and cats tend to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting them out of their shells. Please note that I am unable to do walks longer than 20-30 minutes. I am available for longer daytime stays but not overnight stays. I am currently a student, so my schedule, while a little sporadic, is fairly open, especially on the weekends. I also enjoy taking walks when I can, so adding dogs to those walks can only make them better! I do not accept clients for boarding. If and when I do drop in visits, I will make sure and follow the owner’s instructions, and primarily make sure the pet feels comforted and doesn’t feel alone.
“Whitney does such a great job with our pups! We love having her watch them because she is reliable and I can also tell they truly enjoy being with her! Thank you, Whitney!”

“Marlow took such amazing care watching our cats, especially with some snow hitting while we were out of town. Marlow was responsive, quick to schedule a meet and greet with the cats, and provided detailed daily updates with photos. I would absolutely use Marlow again for pet sitting!”

About: Hello there, fellow pet parents! I’m Taylor and I can’t wait to meet your furry, feathery, and scaly companions! I have spent as much of my life as I can remember caring for and being around all types of animals. Honestly being around animals just makes me the happiest I could be. I have 5 rescue animals of my own! 2 dogs, 2 Cats, and a bird! All of which I rescued not from a shelter but by very happy coincidences! I work part time at a boarding facility so I’m with animals not just at home but at work as well!! I work remote for my full time job half the week so my availability is pretty open. As I work at a boarding facility I have a wealth of experience when it comes to a wide verity of pets. I understand the importances of feeding times, administration of medication, and routines in general. Your pets health and safety is my top priority. I know when I am away from my animals I love getting updates so I believe communication is key. I love sending photos and updates so when you’re not there you can still feel with them! I am dedicated to providing the service that I would want for my pet family. Your pets happiness is my top priority! I am very excited to meet your pets! I work remote half of the week so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals on the other days I can be there before and after my shift. I will treat your dog and your home as if it were my own. I follow the established routine provided by the owner to ensure a stress free and fun time
About: I have 15+ years of experience with dogs, cats, rodents. and a few years professionally as I worked in an animal shelter feeding animals, cleaning cages and cat boxes, light housekeeping and laundry & keeping animals company. I’m available Monday-Thursday I have an open schedule currently. I have a couple re-occurring clients in the afternoon that I walk but I can work around that schedule for your pupper or kitty! I prefer to take care of the clients precious fur baby in the owners home. I offer dog walking, drop in visits in the clients home if they are at work or out of town.
“Lindsay is fantastic. Our dogs love her and she took great care of them! She is reliable, responsible and goes above and beyond for her clients. We highly recommend Lindsay and will definitely reach out to her again!”

“The absolute best pet sitter ever! Our cats' happiness is proof of the wonderful care and attention Camilla provides. From the moment we met her, she was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. Knowing our cats were in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It's not easy to earn the trust of our cats, but they were comfortable and happy with Camilla, which says everything about the way she cares for animals. We are incredibly grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

About: I have had dogs growing up and they are the best companion to life! I'm currently taking courses to become a certified Veterinarian Assistant . I have a lot of knowledge and background schooling to help keep the doggies safe and well taken care of. I'm currently working hybrid times. Sometimes part time but also full time . I'm sure i can make it work ! Any thing for a dog and or cat :) I have a fenced yard. I have a kiddie pool, which can be for dogs to play in the summer time. Sprinklers too :) :)
“Not many people can handle my 3 crazy Pitbulls. Duncan did a great job, and most importantly kept all of my babies safe. Thank you Duncan, we look forward to having you back soon! Sam and Al”

“I highly recommend Lydia. Her calm energy is exactly what my dogs need. My lively dogs are happy and tired after her walks and drop-ins. What I appreciate most about my interaction with Lydia is her communication. She is proactive and thoughtful in the way she communicates. She asks for clarification and she anticipates any possible needs that may come up. It was great to see photos and get her updates when she spent time with the dogs. I feel confident she will carry out whatever we discuss. She is also reliable and timely. I would definitely call on her again!”

“We have a senior pup with quite a few special needs and Tatiana has been wonderful at being gentle with him and accommodating of his needs when checking in on him during the day. We feel a lot more comfortable knowing our old boy is getting good care nowadays in the middle of the day.”

About: With my 7+ year career in non-profit animal welfare and vet med, including running a spay/neuter and vaccination clinic, (plus 30+ years of personal experience caring for cats, dogs, small animals, horses and exotics) you can rest easy leaving your animals in my experienced and loving care. From rambunctious puppies and kittens, to shy and reactive dogs (I have one of those myself), to seniors with special medical needs (I have THREE of those!), I've seen them all. When you entrust me with the care of your animal, they become like members of my extended four-legged family, receiving the same loving attention and care as my own. My engagements (work, volunteering, assisting with family childcare, etc.) are part-time only and highly flexible. My calendar reflects times that I am available (with notice) to intentionally commit my time and attention to your animals. Cats boarded in my home are given their own private bedroom with lots of natural sunlight and views over the garden for prime bird-watching. They will receive visits and love all day long, kept separate and unbothered by my cantankerous orange fluff-ball. Because one of my two dogs is very seldomly dog-social, out of fairness to her AND to clients' dogs I do not offer dog boarding in my home. I will happily care for your dog in your home, including overnights when my schedule allows.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, I grew up with dogs and have watched friends and other family members animals while they’ve been gone on vacation. I’m currently working part time with kids and a full time student! However I take classes online so I have a fairly flexible schedule overall I don’t board, but when at a clients home I like to follow instructions left behind. When taking care of your fur baby I’ll make sure they get lots of love and playtime!

Meg was great with our pets! Our dog is a reactive rescue who usually takes multiple visits before he’s comfortable and he was begging her to pet him within the first 30 minutes. Our cat is elderly and needs medication and Meg was great with her as well. She was super communicative so we always felt like we knew exactly what was going on at home. We’ll definitely be booking more visits in the future and recommend Meg!

Mary took such good care of our gang of quadrupeds. We booked last minute but she was still able to schedule a meet & greet with the crew prior to caring for them. One of our dogs (ok, 2) struggles with new people, but Mary was patient and took her on a little trust walk to get acclimated, which meant a lot to us. She was a dream and we highly recommend her to care for your loved ones too!

Alyssa did an amazing job taking care of Huxley! She arrived on time, followed all directions perfectly, and was reliable and communicative throughout. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals. She also kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!

Scott was wonderful with our 3 dogs. One has stranger danger and he she warmed up to him with no question. Our puppy had some accidents and he made sure his crate was cleaned and dry. He was prompt and communicated very well. Would use him again in a heart beat!
Drusila did a WONDERFUL job with our little scamp, Spencer! I can't say enough good things about her. He's very bonded with my husband and we were afraid that he'd be depressed when we were gone, but he loves Drusila, ate all his meals, played frisbee and even climbed in her lap and enjoyed belly rubs! He's normally quite shy and even tends to duck away from petting, so we were quite pleasantly surprised. Aunt Drusila is a keeper! <g>

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Scotia with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
