About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life, more dog time than cats but love them equally! Would love to spend more time with animals. Right now, I do have one black lab mix at home. I’ve raised dogs from 8 weeks old on and loved them beyond belief. Currently, I’m on maternity leave through the end of the year so I’m flexible and will have my baby with me. Once I go back to work, I will be able to use my lunch break to do drop-in visits only. We have a fenced in yard at home so we go out off leash together for playtime and bathroom breaks. My dog also gets walks at least once a day with a harness as I feel like it less likely for him to break free should he try.
About: I have been dog sitting dogs since I was a teenager. I have experience with many different breeds both big and small. Since I don’t have any pets of my own right now I love being able to go meet new furry friends and play with them I have a pretty flexible work schedule. I can make my own schedule based off of the needs clients may have. Depending on when your pets need care I can adjust my schedule accordingly It is my pleasure to keep your pets company while you are away. I am happy to help out with whatever is needed. I am reliable and will keep your pets company while you are away.
About: I do senior care, special needs, puppies, play time, walking and bathing. I do not mind cleaning up after your animals and I plan to bond with them. I do not just come and go like most people, I plan to give your animals joy when I visit. I have worked in a vet clinic for approx a year so I do have some specialized skills administering meds when needed and cleaning up after them. I can board one pet at a time , only on weekends ( Friday night - Sunday) when I board animals I do not have my cat present , as they will be kept separated. I do have a large kennel and a lot of space to play in the fenced yard. My schedule is flexible. I am very open on weekends, nights and holidays. I also accept same-day cancellations for emergencies and same day appointments because I understand life happens. I create a loving and safe environment for the animals I care for. I believe that the animals I care for will Bond with me, especially if I am coming back routinely. I think that is important for the animals to have a happy and fun experience and a very loving and trusting experience.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years through a mix of personal, volunteer, and professional experience. I grew up pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family, so I’ve been trusted with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities from a young age. My parents also have two yorkies who I’ve helped care for over the years, which taught me a lot about routines, patience, and understanding each dog’s unique quirks. I also spend a couple of years working in a veterinary hospital in a client-care role. Even though I wasn’t a vet tech, I interacted with dogs every day and learned how to stay calm, read their body language, and make them feel comfortable in a new or unfamiliar environments. That experience helped me become confident handling shy, energetic, senior, and nervous pups. Between my personal background and my time in a vet setting, I’m comfortable with a wide range of dog temperaments and needs. I’m gentle, reliable, and always focused on making sure each dog feels safe, understood, and cared for. I work a hybrid job, which gives me a really flexible schedule for pet care. On my work from home days, I’m able to do quick walks throughout the day, especially around lunchtime or early afternoon. I’m available for drop/ins with plenty of notice. I’m also able to house sit on the days I’m remote or on weekends, and I make sure your pet’s routine stays consistent and stress free. If you need someone who can be around, keep your dog company, and provide reliable care during the day, my schedule works really well for that. Just let me know what you need, I’m happy to work with your routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. When I’m caring for a dog in your home, I keep their routine as close to normal as possible. Same feeding schedule, same walking style, same rules you use every day. I take the time to learn what helps your dog feel secure, whether that’s a quiet approach, extra playtime, or a slow, sniff-filled walk. I’m very respectful of your space and treat your home the same way I’d want someone to treat mine. I make sure doors are locked, lights are used responsibly, and everything is left clean and exactly how I found it. During visits or house-sitting, I keep a calm environment so your pet feels relaxed and safe while you’re away. I always pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and anything that seems out of the ordinary. If something comes up, you’ll hear from me right away, communication and transparency are really important to me. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet and your home are in good hands.

About: 🐾 Hi! I took a break from pet sitting because corporate America was consuming my life (0/5 stars, don’t recommend, seriously terrible experience), but I’m SO EXCITED to get back to doing what I love again!! I’m proud to be a certified crazy dog & cat lady - I have two dogs & four cats and I've taken care of dogs & cats of every kind over the past 15 years. Ever seen some crazy girl wearing a hoodie with her cat's face all over it? Yeah, that's me. Ever been so obsessed with your pets that you contemplated tattooing yourself with their paw print? Yep, I did it. Ya know the weird girl that jumps up and down everytime she sees a dog and asks to pet them? You guessed it, that's me. There's only one thing I"m truly passionate about and it's animals! I love dogs of all sizes & have experience with all different temperments & personalities over the years as well - from the laziest of the lazy who want nothing more than to nap 85% of the day to the highest strung herders who need a job all day long, I've had them all! I have a lot of experience with special needs & senior animals as well - our mini dachshund is fully deaf & visually impaired so her disabilities are a part of our everyday life! 🐾 My schedule is pretty open & flexible - whether you need mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends or weekdays, I’m just happy for the chance to take care of your babies while you’re gone! 🐾 In your home, you know what’s best when it comes to your babies care so whatever your preferences, requests, rules, and asks of me are is exactly what I am going to deliver! I'm here to give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are being cared for exactly like you would & loved like they're my own in your absence!
About: I have owned and lived with dogs and cats for my entire life. After losing my beloved shihtzu 6 years ago I decided I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I foster pets, dogsit/housesit board and walk dogs and I have a flexible schedule. I love dogs of all sizes but I only have space in my own home for dogs under 20lbs. I am available to do home checks and midday walks. I am available for overnights or weekends stays. I will of course follow your rules for whether pets are allowed on the furniture but as far as I am concerned, your pets are family and in my home they can go anywhere that I can go! If you’re looking for someone calm, dependable and responsible, look no further! I have a flexible schedule and can be available for midday walks, dinner, enrichment, and overnights. I love field trips and fun adventures with your pup and can also just hang out if they need companionship. I do not have any pets of my own so that I can dedicate my time to pet sitting and fostering. This enables me to host small pets in my home or to stay with pets for extended periods such as vacations.
“Sam was with Laila a couple weeks before she passed, but she was amazing and was so patient with my girl. Sam has a great compassionate way towards animals. You'll feel reassurance and know she takes great care of them. 💕”

“Eydid did an amazing job with his drop-in visit for my cat, Bella. She seemed so happy, relaxed, and comfortable in his care—it was clear she trusted him right away. Eydid is a trustworthy and dependable individual who followed all instructions perfectly and kept me at ease with his prompt communication. I’d hire him a million more times without hesitation!”
“Joe is great!! Really cared for my 4 cats while I was in Italy. He sent pictures everyday and told me how they were doing. He’s a great communicator and caring person. I will definitely hire him again for my next trip.”

“Sydney is the best! She is extremely helpful, professional and attentive to my dog's needs. She is always on time and thorough with her visits. Couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. I have been surrounded with Great Danes, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Black Labs, and of course my own Dachshund Rat Terrier mix! I value my awareness of how comfortable your pets that I am caring for are, and making sure they are as happy and healthy as they can be. Not only do I find great joy in caring for dogs and other animals, I think that they provide an important staple to human wellbeing and content, as the health of your pet reflects the health of you. I have experience dealing with animals, as I have walked dogs before, looked after family members and friends, as well as my own. I would be honored to care after your pet as I would mine! I am currently obtaining my degree in Environmental biology and am looking for summer work, this means I have full flexibility and can work with your schedule whenever best suits you and your pup! :) I treat your dog like I would my own- complete love and care for whatever their needs are in that moment. Making sure they have their basics covered, as well as mental enrichment, and some good belly scratches is how I would look after your pet.
About: I have had pets my whole life and have cared for my friends and families pets. Experienced with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes! I am currently working part time and my work schedule is extremely flexible so I will have plenty of time to play with and care for your pets! I love playing with and spending time with my animals and others animals as well. I make sure all the pets have water and are fed properly as well as ensure they have plenty of outside time if desired!
“Elizabeth took care of my cats as if they were her own. She was an excellent communicator and sent me tons of pictures and videos, so I knew they were in good hands while I was away. Even more amazingly, my one cat is very scared of new people, but he warmed up to her right away. Cats can tell when humans are safe and I am so thankful to know they were given loving time and attention in my absence. I highly recommend and plan to book Elizabeth again for my future cat sitting needs!”

About: Having grown up with cats and dogs, I recently spent a couple of years on a horse farm caring for horses, cows, chickens, large dogs, and barn cats. From feeding and bathing to administering medicine, I've spent years with animals. I love meeting new pets and learning about them. I look forward to making memories with these new pets and hopefully making pet parents’ day a little easier. I’m currently a senior in high school but I only have 3 classes from 10-12:30 making my schedule pretty open on weekdays. On weekends I host kids birthday parties which are usually only 2 hours and from 12-2 or 2-4 other than that I am free. When it comes to drop in visits I like to follow strictly to pet parents instructions to make sure all expectations are being met with no risk of harm to pets or property.
Colonie dog parents share their Rover experiences
Met Michael at colonie center and wally instantly hit it off with him! Found out that he was a dog walker and animal care giver!!! Mike checked in and checked out with me via text because the app has some technical issues (weather related) when he visited w/ Wally. He provided Wally with play time, a walk & treat I left him. He also cleaned up after him because Wally left a mess. I appreciate the extra effort! Wally did well with him and I highly recommend for your pets!

Emily was amazing! She dropped in to take care of our two dogs when we had a last minute schedule change. She was so responsive and accommodating, and our dogs were well taken care of. Emily is reliable, kind, and we will definitely be reaching out to her again for future needs!

Merissa was AMAZING with Ollie! From the meet and greet to drop-in visits, she was communicative and wonderful every step of the way. Ollie is very wary of strangers but was even giving her kisses on the third visit. I am so grateful to have someone we BOTH trust to take care of him when I’m away :)
