“Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner”

“We are so glad we found Brigid. Our dog, Roscoe, was comfortable with her right away when we had our meet-and-greet. Brigid asked good questions and took notes. She and her house are well-suited for a little dog visitor. She has a nice, fenced-in yard. Her couch is a cozy spot for napping, snuggling and looking out the window. Brigid stayed in touch with us leading up to our trip and while we were away. It was so fun for us to hear and see pictures of how Brigid and Roscoe were spending their time. I felt that they had developed a special bond and I can't wait to book Brigid again. I think Roscoe feels the same way.”

“My 8 year old, Curly Coated Retriever, had never been boarded before. Kyle made me so comfortable at our initial meet & greet that it reduced my trepidation of being away from my girl for the first time & I knew she was in good hands. Kyle’s daily pictures & comments made being away from my girl so much easier. It was very clear seeing how much Kyle loved dogs and she was such a good caregiver to my girl. I would strongly recommend Kyle’s service to anybody who wants to ensure their dog is in the hands of someone who truly cares about her furry friends.”

“Chelsea and Chris were great with my puppy, Sully, during his 3-night stay. I got daily photos and updates, which made me feel really comfortable knowing he was safe and having a good time. Sully clearly enjoyed being there and came home happy and relaxed. I really appreciated how attentive and caring they were and would definitely book with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Lori is kind, responsive, and reliable. I appreciated her reassuring texts letting me know my pup had settled in and was doing fine. I would recommend Lori to anyone.”

“Kristine & Robert were great with our Gus! They took the time to meet and make sure he would be comfortable with their dog in advance. I truly left him and was so comfortable and trusted them completely. We received regular updates which made it even better. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to board their pet!”

“I had to find a last minute sitter for my 2 dogs and was truly panicking because I usually interview any potential sitters. I found this lovely couple on Rover and they were responsive, very empathetic and reassuring. I was sent updates and pictures and I can highly recommend them to care for your animal. Will be utilizing them in the future.”

“Marisa has been very accommodating to each of my stays for my dog!! I couldn’t more appreciative. I will definitely reach out in the future for more stays! Thanks Marisa!!”

“Christopher and his wife did a wonderful job watching my Australian Shepherd. I appreciate the daily updates with pictures. She was well loved and cared for. Would book again.”

“I have a high anxiety; high energy breed and Cache took amazing care of him. Additionally, she sent plenty of updates/ videos, so I didn't have to worry about him. I will 100% be rebooking with her!”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

Kristine & Robert were great with our Gus! They took the time to meet and make sure he would be comfortable with their dog in advance. I truly left him and was so comfortable and trusted them completely. We received regular updates which made it even better. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to board their pet!

I am so happy we found them, our dogs had an amazing time and we will 100% bring them back. They are so nice and really care for the dogs. I was so nervous because of previous experiences with other sisters but they put my mind at ease. I couldn’t imagine bringing our dogs anywhere else!

Kaitlin, along with her crew of kids and kitties, were absolutely fantastic. My dog had a wonderful time there, and I know made fast friends with everyone in the house. You can tell from the moment Kaitlin meets your pup how comfortable she is around dogs, and especially for a sensitive pup like mine, she made us both feel like it was going to be a great match. During my dog's stay at her house, I got lots of photo and video updates, my dog got lots of great outdoor time, and Kaitlin was also super flexible around me coming by to pick up my doggie at the end of it, which was really helpful because my flight got in sort of late! Would definitely ask her to pup-sit again.

Korinne absolutely couldn’t have been a better caretaker for my pup. She stayed in close contact with me throughout my trip and sent plenty of pics and videos so I could be sure that my doggie was having an amazing time over there (probably even more fun than she has at home!). Korinne has a really comfortable space with a luxurious backyard and I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
