“Samantha and her family are amazing. Honestly. My first time boarding my 3 month old puppy and they made it so easy. Communication and kindness!! Such genuine people. Thank you for everything!!”

“It is always so comforting to know that Bailey is in good hands when we go visit our family. She keeps us informed and sends pictures. This is the fourth time we have used Brigid and Bailey seems to feel just as comfortable there as he does at home. Thank you Bridgit!”

“Kimberly was so kind to take Toby my 19-lb Havenese dog very last minute! I have a bad wrist fracture and was not able to take care of him properly. She took such great care of him with only hours’ notice. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Chelsea and Christopher took wonderful care of our pups Obi and Opal, we could leave them in their care and be rest assured they were safe and happy. They both have a very calm vibe which our pups need. lol. Our 1 year old Opal is definitely not chill and they didn’t make us feel bad about it which we appreciate. 😂 it was clear they loved their time and they look forward to their future booked stays with Chelsea and Christopher! Thank you both!”

“Our 5-month old Goldendoodle puppy had a great time with Lori. He's active, growing, friendly, and loves playing with other dogs, and she supported all of his needs, especially the play and affection that's so important for puppy development. He liked her immediately, and came home happy and healthy. I'm also grateful for her flexibility when we had to extend his visit by a day because of a cancelled airline flight. I will definitely reach out to Lori the next time.”

“Christopher and Chelsea did a fantastic job caring for my big and energetic dog! They were friendly, professional, and experts at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much for caring for Wyatt. I am so grateful to have found Tumbaros Clubhouse and look forward to using your services again.”

“Our second time booking with Nat and our pup was so happy and healthy when we returned! She is always very communicative and we are extremely grateful to have a safe and comfortable place for him to stay!”

“Gillian made us feel so comfortable after the meet and great! She treated our puppy like one of her own and we really enjoyed the picture updates showing us that Loki was having a blast!”

“I had Anna watch my dog, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was reliable, attentive, and really seemed to connect with my puppy. Poncho was well cared for, and I received regular updates and pictures, which gave me peace of mind. I would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a caring pet sitter.”

“Marisa was absolutely great with Lily! Marisa was very attentive to making sure that Lily would enjoy her stay, and she definitely did enjoy her stay. Thank you!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with our first experience leaving our dog with Kyle. Her love of dogs is obvious. She took such good care of him and kept in regular contact with us with pictures and videos. He came home happy and unstressed. Actually, I’m not sure he wanted to come home 😆. We definitely recommend her!”

“Kristine gave our dog Chauncey exceptional care! She gave us updates with photos , which is very important to us. She was communicative and overall just lovely to interact with. She even mended a bandana he was wearing. On top of it, she sent him home with a Halloween bandana she sewed! We will definitely request her care again.”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“I have two very skittish dogs she said they settled in after while and they came home as if they never left. I boarded a dog one other time and it took almost 2 weeks for the dog to act normal again. Very good experience”

“Tiffany was wonderful with our two beagles. She sent us great photos and a video of them interacting with the other animals staying with her. This is our second time using Tiffany and we plan on booking with her again in the future.”

“Amy was incredible. She sent me updates, was kind, flexible, and treated my puppy very well. Her home is in a safe neighborhood and has a great setup for pets. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Amy and her care.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Guilderland
This was our second time booking with Alexa, and once again she was fantastic. She took great care of our dog, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It’s such a relief knowing we have someone we can trust. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner

Korinne absolutely couldn’t have been a better caretaker for my pup. She stayed in close contact with me throughout my trip and sent plenty of pics and videos so I could be sure that my doggie was having an amazing time over there (probably even more fun than she has at home!). Korinne has a really comfortable space with a luxurious backyard and I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough!

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
