“Samantha and her family are amazing. Honestly. My first time boarding my 3 month old puppy and they made it so easy. Communication and kindness!! Such genuine people. Thank you for everything!!”

“Brigid was perfect for my older dog Scout. She is very loving and attentive. Scout seemed very content with Brigid, who kept me updated with photos and videos. I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for Scout.”

“Chelsea and Christopher were wonderful with our 2 pups. This is the first time we’ve had to leave our dogs outside of staying with family so I was nervous and hesitant. They calmed all my fears and took great care of our dogs— one of which also has some special needs. If we come back to upstate NY, we will definitely be booking with them again! Thank you!!”

“Kimberly was so kind to take Toby my 19-lb Havenese dog very last minute! I have a bad wrist fracture and was not able to take care of him properly. She took such great care of him with only hours’ notice. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Mery and Brad looked after my greyhound Nadia for a few nights and they did a marvelous job! Setting up Nadia's stay was very easy and my messages were replied to promptly. I was also kept updated throughout her stay. Nadia was obviously happy and well looked after when I went to pick her up; I would definitely recommend Mery and Brad to anyone looking for caring and wonderful dog sitters!”

Every pup gets one-on-one attention, enrichment, and plenty of daily playtime. I’m home the majority of the week, which means your dog gets lots of company, cuddles, and care! I’m happy to board your sweet pup anytime you need me. I’ve got a fully fenced yard and a goofy young playmate who loves making new dog friends! Your pup will enjoy tons of zoomies, sniffing, and social fun. At night, everyone snoozes safely in their crates—but don’t worry, I’m always on “midnight potty duty” for puppies and seniors who need a quick outing!
“Jennifer was amazing. I can’t say enough good things. She treated my pup like one of her own and I am truly grateful. Leaving and being away from your pup is an anxiety inducing experience, but Jennifer took such good care of Cadbury and was so incredible at keeping me updated that I didn’t have to worry and was able to focus on my conference instead of worrying about him. And she also kept Cadbury entertained and engaged so his mind was on whatever thing was going on at the moment which I was glad for Her dogs welcomed Cadbury to their pack which I was also incredibly appreciative of. I am so glad he has new friends that I look forward to him spending more time with them. Jennifer, her mom and their pack were amazing and so glad it worked out the way it did. I’m sure I’m missing things but they were amazing and look forward to Cadbury’s next experience there and so glad to know I have a place I can trust. Thanks Jennifer!”

“I had to find a last minute sitter for my 2 dogs and was truly panicking because I usually interview any potential sitters. I found this lovely couple on Rover and they were responsive, very empathetic and reassuring. I was sent updates and pictures and I can highly recommend them to care for your animal. Will be utilizing them in the future.”

“Natthinee did a wonderful job taking care of my Moose! She sent lots of pictures and videos of him having a great time doing all of his tricks and playing with their dog. He will definitely be coming back for more visits!”

“Anna was absolutely amazing with my dog during his overnight stay! She’s very communicative, caring, and clearly passionate about what she does. From the meet-and-greet, I knew my pup was in great hands. She even sent him home with a thoughtful doggy bag, which was such a sweet touch. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog Cadie very much enjoyed her stay at Lori’s! Cadie was able to play ball and enjoy playing with the other dogs. Lori was very flexible and accommodating to our schedule and took great care of Cadie. We definitely recommend Lori and will have her watch Cadie again in the future.”

“We couldn’t have been happier with our first experience leaving our dog with Kyle. Her love of dogs is obvious. She took such good care of him and kept in regular contact with us with pictures and videos. He came home happy and unstressed. Actually, I’m not sure he wanted to come home 😆. We definitely recommend her!”

About: My name is Kylie and I’ve always had such a strong passion for animals. I’m currently in school to be a licensed veterinary technician. While I pursue this, I also work full time in an animal emergency clinic. I have had 2+ years of animal emergency experience, including large dogs and cats, and even reptiles like snakes! I am comfortable pilling animals and have direct access to emergency care 24/7 in case your fur babies need it❤️. I currently own 2 cats of my own and a ball python. I’ve owned large dogs my whole life including a Cane Corso & Giant Schnauzer! I currently work full time in the animal emergency clinic. My schedule is Tuesday 11a-11p - Friday 7a-7p - Saturday 1p-1a and I do pick up shifts here and there. With this being said, I can come by before and/or after my shifts. I am currently not accepting boarding as my current living situation is not feasible for more animals than I currently own. I can care for pets in your home!
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Gillian and her family. We’ve used her a lot this year and will continue to trust her to take care of my pup. Cooper is 15 years old, he sleeps a lot but still has a pep in his step. Gillian makes sure he gets outside time and walks along with lots of snuggle time. He isn’t hesitant when we get to their house like he was with other sitters. And he’s acting more like himself there which tells me he is comfortable. I get multiple texts, pictures and videos when he’s there, so I know he’s doing well.”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“Pam did a great job with my dog who has never been comfortable with other dogs. I’m very glad that Pam not only took care of my anti-social dog (got her during COVID) while I was away, but also helped her learn social skills with other dogs!”

“Chris was a wonderful sitter. With Chris, you also get Jia, his girlfriend, as a bonus second sitter who loves dogs. Bentley made immediate friends upon the preliminary meet and greet. The couple has no pets currently, so they were able to give Bentley loads of personal attention and play time. Chris lives near Washington Park, so Bentley had plenty of grassy area to run around and meet other dogs. Chris and Jia worked with our high energy, young pyredoodle, so Bentley would respond to commands more readily. We highly recommend booking with Chris.”

“Cache was absolutely amazing with our puppy Nala! She sent consistent updates, and Nala seemed to have so much fun when she was there. 1,000,000% would recommend and most definitely will be a repeat client!”

“Kristine was absolutely fantastic. She kept us up to date with pictures and info about our dog Griffin, who had an awesome time playing with her pup Flynn. Her backyard is so perfect for running around! I'd recommend her to anyone, and we'd happily have her as a pet sitter anytime.”

“My dogs have stayed with Marisa multiple times. My male dog has a great time playing with her dog. My timid female dog usually takes a while to adjust, but has gotten more comfortable and follows Marisa around. Marisa is very accommodating and has always been available when I've needed a sitter.”

“Katie is so awesome! She went above and beyond to befriend our grumpy old man of a cat, was very thorough at every drop-in, and just a lovely person all around. Highly recommend booking with her!”

“Amy was awesome! She took great care of my pets and gave me peace of mind while I was away. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. I came home to happy, well-cared-for pets. I would absolutely recommend Amy to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Lindsay took such good care of my two cats! I got updates with pictures every visit which is appreciated. My cats can be skittish, but warmed up to her immediately. It was a great peace of mind while away. Will book Lindsay again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I could not be happier with the experience! My cats were very well cared for by Megan while we were gone for the week. They are usually skittish for a little while when we come home from being away, but this time they came right out as if we were only gone for a few hours! I will definitely utilize her services again when needed.”

“Bradley was the perfect pet sitter. He was communicative and responsive and treated my home with respect. He sent frequent updates and pictures of my cat. He even helped out when the cat went missing unexpectedly, offering to look for him and lending a cat carrier. I will be using Bradley again for sure and I recommend you use him for your pet needs too!”

“Glenn and Diana were the best sitters ever! We have a very hyper, young lab who does not like to be left alone. We have never used a professional pet sitting service before and Glenn and Diana provided us with not only did they provide excellent pet care, but they were extremely flexible with several last minute schedule changes. They also helped us navigate the Rover app to help correct errors on our part as well as giving our dog some short training sessions with sit, down, and stay while they were spending time with her. Glenn and Diana played a lot of fetch with the dog and gave our cat tons of attention too. Great sitters who really put us at ease! We highly recommend them and Rover!”

“Pamela is punctual and conscientious. She took care of three of our pets (our dog traveled with us this time). One of the kitties needs medication two times per day and I could have set my watch to Pamela’s arrival to do that for us. We appreciated her taking that weight off our minds. Highly recommended!”

“Despite snowy conditions, Heather made it over to take care of my cats through the Christas holiday! She also patiently worked through one of my cat’s less friendly behavior.”

“Merissa and Nick are the best pet sitters I have ever had, because they care and go above and beyond!! Besides the very helpful daily updates on my cat’s food, drink, litter box usage and general behavior, they sent me some of the greatest photos and videos of Hodge, many showing them playing with my very social fur baby. When I returned home after a 10-day trip, the house was immaculate and my mail and newspapers were neatly piled up on the kitchen counter. I knew that with Merissa and Nick my cat was getting the best care possible and was very happy, which gave me complete peace of mind to enjoy my vacation.”

“Always does such an amazing job watching my girl. I usually only book for 1-2 days but went away for 5 this weekend, leaving more detailed instructions and she followed every step thoroughly and took great care of my Jupiter! Will continue to rebook with Ashley (:”

“Sydney is the best! She is extremely helpful, professional and attentive to my dog's needs. She is always on time and thorough with her visits. Couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

“As an avid cat lover, I have a pretty good nose for our own. And I knew Alicia was a perfect choice upon on our first meeting. My cat is usually a very shy and skittish boy around new people but absolutely fell in love with Alicia. I figured he would just keep his distance like he has with other sitters when she came to check on him while I was away, so imagine my surprise when she shared pics of him sitting right next to her on the couch AND on her lap. So yeah. Your fur bubs will be in 100% trustworthy hands. Thank you, Alicia!”
“Nina is the best cat sitter we have had. She cares about our cats and makes sure they are safe, fed, and happy. One of our cats is elderly and has had some health problems. I was worried about leaving her for over a week. Nina was great about giving me updates so I could stop worrying and enjoy my vacation.”

“Jennifer was great! We came home to 5 happy pups. 3 of our dogs needed twice daily medicine, and I felt comfortable knowing Jennifer had the knowledge to meet their needs. I really enjoyed the daily picture updates and notes!”

“Chelsea was amazing and my pup must have known the minute he met her. It is rare that he walks right up to anyone he doesn’t know but he did with her. He seemed to have a great time and looked so happy in the pics. This really made me feel good about my choice. Thanks Chelsea. Loved the report card as well. See you next time.”

“Great first experience leaving my dog in their house for a day for daycare. Christopher and Chelsea both are very kind, sweet, patient and knowledgeable about caring for dogs. When I picked up, I can tell my baby is so happy, satisfied and well rested. Will definitely come back again!”

“I'm so happy with Anna's pet care service. She is incredibly responsive and kind to my pup. My dog is normally anxious with new people but he gets along very well with Anna. He comes home happy and relaxed everyday! I highly recommend her.”

“I am so grateful to Kim for watching my dog for daycare. Tuna had a great time hanging out with resident pup, Bella; they ran around in the enclosed back patio and she got to hang outside on the deck which is her favorite pastime while waiting for me to pick her up after work. Kim's son took her on multiple walks each day, including first thing in the morning which gave me peace of mind and made our morning that much easier. I could tell Tuna liked spending the day there which is super important to me; we'd love to be a repeat client due to our positive experience!”

“This was my first time using Rover and, remarkably, my first time leaving my dog Maddy with someone in their house, and not my own. Lori was wonderful! She answered all my questions before the day, and answered so promptly too. Maddy and Lori's dog Rees were very compatible, even though Rees is much bigger than Maddy. When I came to pick up my dog, Lori said Maddy missed me and was a bit subdued, but that's to be expected for the first time. Maddy was perfectly fine, and happy to see me when I came to pick her up. I will be booking with Lori and Rees again. Practice makes perfect!”

“Brad and Mery were wonderful, and took great care of our dog Maisie. I loved getting pictures and updates daily- it made me feel much better being away! I highly recommend, and hope to use them again in the future!”

“Nat was great with our two pups. Our one dog is still a puppy in many ways and this was her first Rover experience. Nat didn’t make us feel bad for the behaviors that I know are difficult to manage or come with a pups first time stay. She kept us updated With pics and videos which we loved. If you want a safe and loving place for your pups, Nat is the way to go!”

About: 🐾 I’m absolutely obsessed with cats—and honestly, that’s the biggest reason I’m here. Rover isn’t just a side thing for me… I genuinely love spending time with cats and getting to know all their unique personalities. At home, I care for three cats of my own, so I understand everything from playtime energy to quiet, independent moods. I’m also known locally as a stray cat feeder and caretaker, and I always keep cat food in my car—because you truly never know when a hungry kitty might need help. Caring for animals isn’t something I “turn on”—it’s just part of who I am every day. While cats are my specialty, I’ve recently been spending more time around dogs as well and have become increasingly comfortable and confident with them. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to adapt to different temperaments, whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between. When you trust me with your pet, you’re getting someone who is: ✔️ Reliable & responsive ✔️ Gentle, patient, and detail-oriented ✔️ Experienced with multiple-cat households ✔️ Truly passionate about animal care I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own—with love, respect, and close attention to their needs. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, medication, or just keeping them company, I’ve got it covered. I’m also very flexible and able to travel, so feel free to reach out with whatever you need—I’m happy to make it work!! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I recently bought a house here in Albany, so it’s just me and my studies now — which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to devote to caring for your cats. As a law student, my classes are only on Mondays and Wednesdays, so the rest of the week I’m fully available to spend quality time making sure your cat (or cats!) get the love, attention, and care they need. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping your cat’s routine consistent and stress-free. That means fresh food and water on schedule, a clean litter box, and plenty of playtime and affection — whether that’s cuddles, brushing, or just quiet company if your cat prefers space. I always make sure to respect your home, follow your instructions closely, and send regular updates so you know your pet is happy and safe. If I’m welcoming a cat into my own home, I create a calm, cozy environment with safe spaces for them to explore or retreat to, depending on their personality. I treat every cat as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.
“Kenia is kind, flexible and communicative. The second day I brought my anxious rescue poodle to her, she sprinted up the steps and could NOT wait to get inside! Her warmth is unmatched and she brought me great comfort knowing my pup was in a safe, loving environment while I tended to family needs. Will definitely use Kenia again if I’m in the area, and highly recommend anyone in need use her too!!”

“Tiffany is a wonderful host, and Sunny had a terrific place to stay. A big comfy couch for the pups, a doggy door leading to a big fenced yard, and three very friendly pups of her own. Looking forward to a return trip later when we’ll be gone for a week. And looking forward to checking out the delicious looking cakes, cupcakes, & cake pops she custom makes!”

“Tatiana was amazing! She took care of my two pups very last minute and was very understanding if we were later than expected! Sent me pictures and updates throughout the day 😊. She treats them like they are her own. She also was very considerate with taking everything slow with them (introducing to her dogs). She’s an awesome pet sitter and definitely will be using her again!”

“Marianne is absolutely wonderful. I'm very grateful to have found Marianne after going through a few different sitters. She is fast and great at communicating, reliable, spends a lot of time with my pup and takes her on so many walks, clearly cares a lot about my pup, and is incredibly kind and a dream to work with. My pup also totally adores Marianne as well. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Katharine was extremely easy to work with! She assisted in fulfilling a last minute request, and got along great with my dog! She was able to get my pup to take a walk and eat her food, which are often difficult tasks due to my dogs anxiety. Would 100% recommend Katharine to others!!”

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.

“Jessica has been walking our dog since April and she has been terrific! We feel very lucky to have found her! She’s reliable, kind, and intuitive with our dog. She sends midday reports on her walks which are super helpful. I always come home to a calmer pup since Jessica started with us. We’re hoping to hire her for a longer sit at some point, too. Jessica is great!”

“Bradley is a terrific walker. He is attentive to my dog’s needs and diligent with the daily schedule. He promptly communicates throughout each walk and is very caring for my pooch. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Bradley.”

“Sarah was wonderful! She was able to help us out last minute this morning after a last minute work schedule change and being new to town we didn't have a support system established yet. We are very appreciative of her support and attentiveness with our girl :)”

“Glenn and Diana’s care of my big dog has been such a weight off my shoulders. He has some special needs and they didn’t hesitate to help. Also so appreciative of the questions they ask and how much they care!”

About: Hi, my name is Jennie and I would love to care for your fur baby !! I’m originally from Nepal, where we actually have a whole festival (Kukur Tihar) just to celebrate dogs and thank them for their loyalty 🐕 . Caring for dogs comes naturally to me, and I treat every one like family. 🐶 I will treat your dog like my own , ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or a relaxing walk, I tailor my care to meet your pup’s unique needs. I also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind! If you prefer we can also set up a meet-and-greet to see if we’re a great fit! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! 🐶 I find spending time with dogs truly therapeutic—they bring so much joy and comfort. Honestly, I enjoy being around dogs more than humans! I love and care for every pup as if they were my own child, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved at all times.” flow: I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for pets in my home. My husband and I live in a townhouse with no kids or pets, so your furry baby will get plenty of attention and care. I make sure they have regular exercise, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. I also follow their routine closely to help them feel secure and comfortable, whether it’s feeding, walks, or companionship. No matter the breed, I treat every dog like my own—making sure they feel happy, loved, and well cared for.
“Megan is awesome! My dogs love her and she is very reliable. She shows up at the agreed-upon time and always sends messages and pictures. My neighbors have also said that my dogs look very happy walking with their new friend :)”
About: I have been caring for pets for friends and family for many years. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up pet messes. Plus I love sending photos to owners to assure them that their pets are happy and cared for. I am mostly available weeknights and weekends. I am currently working full-time, but I have the ability to check in on pets during the day if needed. Weekday mornings are usually a little busy for me. While I cannot currently offer housing for pets in my home, partly due to a cat diva, I can promise to be respectful of any home I enter.
About: (she/her/hers) I mean, who WOULDN'T adore those two orange boys? 🥰🥰 Chili and Chalupa were adopted from Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue in Denver, Colorado, in January 2023. They rule the house, and I can't wait to love your pet like I love them! I am often available for same day appointments within a 3 mile radius of Guilderland. I am flexible with responsibilities as well- let me know if you want your space left a certain way (AC on, bathroom door closed, etc) and I'll make sure you have peace of mind about your home while you're out. My times are flexible if yours are as well. I work retail, and my schedule changes from week to week. I will always be able to committ to a minimum of one visit a day for all services, but may double check with you if your booked visit times are flexible, especially for multiple day bookings. I love taking photos of your pets! I often send lots of updates during walks and drop ins, from when I get there, to what we're doing, to one more before I go. I'm going to try to catch your pet in the middle of a yawn, or a meow, or a bark! They get lots of love while they're with Aunt Stacie, and special attention to details like extra water in their wet food and tracking general hydration levels, supervised outdoor times for cats with secured balcony privileges, PLENTY of scritches wherever they prefer (got an elevator butt cat? A pibbie that lives for scratches on their big melon head?), and equal amounts of love, as well as awareness and respect of their boundaries and body language. **Please be aware of and respect my service radius and availability windows. My lower sitting fees are a result of a smaller service area and limited availability due to a separate work schedule. If you need a walk, please book a walk and not a drop in. Drop ins are for fenced in private yards, cat visits, and other similar situations.** Thank you so much for your understanding!! I have a very flexible schedule and I am happy to commit to both long and short term care. Travel in the Guilderland and Colonie areas is not a problem. Please don't hesitate to send a message if you aren't sure I can meet your needs. If we aren't a match, all bookings can be changed/canceled if needed with no penalty and full refunds*, and I'd love to chat! (*Meaning if we communicate about a visit BEFORE it is booked+agreed on by both of us. Anything discussed, agreed to, and booked by both of us will have the normal refund dates respected.) I am known for being very thorough in cleaning up after myself, whether that's keeping your kitchen clean or cleaning up after dogs on a walk.

“Samantha and her family are amazing. Honestly. My first time boarding my 3 month old puppy and they made it so easy. Communication and kindness!! Such genuine people. Thank you for everything!!”

“Amy was wonderful with our puppy! She took great care of him and kept us updated during the stay. It’s such a comfort knowing he was in good hands. We’ll definitely book with her again.”

“Alyson was wonderful! She was very patient with my dogs, even when they got nervous and peed on her floor. They quickly warmed up to her and her dog, and from the photos she sent, it was obvious they were having a great time. I will definitely rebook with Alyson.”

“Kaitlin housed and took care of my dog, Pip, for two weeks and was outstanding in the care she provided to him. From the very start of our communication, she was responsive and answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. We set up a visit, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable 90 minute visit together. Kaitlin has had extensive work and experience with dogs, and I could see her watching Pip, and checking whether there was any stress in his behavior. Kaitlin has a lovely young family, and her children know their way around dogs, and Kaitlin watches these interactions carefully also. Kaitlin kept me up to speed on how Pip was doing during my two-week absence, sending me pictures and color commentary throughout. While no one wants to think about our pets having an emergency, I know Kaitlin would be cool under pressure; she has so much experience with dogs! I recommend Kaitlin with my highest confidence and without reservation—she is dependable, loving, and truly gifted at caring for animals. Pip was happy, safe, and adored in her hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call on her again.”

“Jayla was patient with Luna (she's kind of a chicken) eventually Luna warmed up to her and seemed to have a blast. Jayla did a good job of keeping us updated and responding to my check in texts. Luna really liked her, I would use Jayla again to watch my fur monster”

“Anthony and Jane were fantastic. Great communicators, really nice setup on their property with tons of space and a fenced yard. My dog got along well with theirs. Will definitely book again.”

“Sheronda was a great sitter for my elderly poodle! She provided updates and photos and was very conscientious about a couple of special instructions I left. Sheronda is highly reliable and very personable. I highly recommend her!”
