About: I’ve had cats my entire life and a dog since I was ten. I’ve also been volunteering at animal shelters since the beginning of 2024! I have a calm energy which is great for putting anxious pets at ease. I have the most experience with small dogs but love dogs of all sizes! I have the most availability on weekends but I have no problem making weeknight visits to provide your pets with the care they deserve! I have my own car so transportation is not an issue. Pet safety whether out and about or in your home is my top priority! I am careful to observe animal body language so I can better know when to give a pet space or remove them from a distressing situation. If you have any care or safety concerns that are specific to your home or pet, do not hesitate to let me know!

“Debbie was amazing! She was patient and kind towards our shy and mean cat. Our cat can be hard to be around since he scares most people but she did amazing with him. We look forward to having her visit our cat again when we are out of town!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with 11 years of experience who provides a safe, clean, and loving environment. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your fur baby, and I’ll treat them like part of the family. I enjoy walks, playtime, and making sure each dog gets plenty of attention and affection. I can’t wait for all the new amazing pets I will get to meet and have the privilege of taking care of! I work full-time 8am- 4pm Monday through Friday, so best with dogs that are comfortable being home alone during the workday. Before and after work, I’ll provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. On evenings and weekends, I’ll have much more time to spend with them! I grew up with dogs and have loved caring for them my entire life. After recently losing my family dog to old age, I want to continue sharing that love by caring for other people’s pets. I provide a safe, loving environment, follow each pet’s routine, and treat every animal like family. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of many pets in my life as I used to live on a farm growing up. I treat them all as if they’re my kids. I have a part time job as a nurse at a nursing home and I have two children in the home but over the ages of 15, other than that I have no young kids or other pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play! As well I have a park 2 mins from my home that I can take any pet I’m caring for.
“Our first experience with Leah has been great! She took perfect care of our 4cats. Leah is a great communicator and took good initiative when things arose that we hadn’t been able to discuss in advance. We’ll definitely feel our cats are in excellent hands when we have the opportunity to have her here again!”

“Kaeleigh is a kind, caring, and honest pet sitter. She pays great attention to detail and sends me information about my cat's disposition (with photos) during every drop-in visit. She's easily able to address all of my cat's needs, and she goes above and beyond to make sure my cat is feeling well. Kaeleigh is very sweet, friendly, and trustworthy. I highly recommend her pet-sitting services.”

“Merissa and Nick are the best pet sitters I have ever had, because they care and go above and beyond!! Besides the very helpful daily updates on my cat’s food, drink, litter box usage and general behavior, they sent me some of the greatest photos and videos of Hodge, many showing them playing with my very social fur baby. When I returned home after a 10-day trip, the house was immaculate and my mail and newspapers were neatly piled up on the kitchen counter. I knew that with Merissa and Nick my cat was getting the best care possible and was very happy, which gave me complete peace of mind to enjoy my vacation.”

“Net is awesome! She came to the house a few times, to meet Lucy, before our trip so Lucy was comfortable with her. She visited Lucy 4 times per day starting very early and a bedtime visit around 8:00pm. Polite, dependable, caring, professional and dedicated are a few words to describe Net. We will definitely have her take care of Lucy again and I encourage you to have her care for your pet as well! Six out of 5 stars!!”

“Alexis is flexible and easy to communicate with. She took plenty of time getting to know our shy boy during the meet and greet. He is very timid and she went at his pace. I was very comfortable having her come give him a potty break while we were gone for the day.”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs of all kinds for over 10 years. I grew up with 3 cats and 2 dog. I love animals and I can stay in your home or host pets. Your dog will be allowed on the couch and bed. I have a fenced in back yard where your dog will always be accompanied by me. I will give lots of cuddles and love. I work full time but I have a hybrid schedule where I can be home all day. I can also stop in for visits as needed. I have a fenced in yard and will always be with your dog in the yard. We can go for great walks around the SUNY Albany campus. I currently have 2 cats that are very kind and curious.
About: My whole life I’ve just loved animals. I’ve always had pets. I was the one in my family that pet sat when they went away. I am a real estate agent and being that I have very flexible hours with that I would like to fill my time with doing something that I think is fun. That is by loving animals. I plan on just doing dog walking to start. Maybe eventually doing at home care. Just moving to the area I need to get more acclimated.
About: I will pay full attention to your pet. I am flexible and I can work with you to tend to your pet's every need. I am often the go-to call when my friends or neighbors plan to go away. I will love your furry family member like they are my own. The great bonus for me is the love I get in return from your pet and hopefully provide peace of mind to the owners. I have one 18-year-old grumpy kitty who I love dearly, who will happily hide in my bedroom – and ever so briefly – coexist with my doggie guests. All good there. I would be available any time from Sunday-Thursday for doggie day care or drop in visits... and available from Sun to Wed for overnight stays. I will love and protect your pet like they are my own. If I were to visit your/their home, I would enter and provide excellent service with respect to you and your pets!
“Our cats and I were talking and we are very happy with the care Kim provided! Kim was caring and loving, giving them plenty of playtime and attention. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. She was responsive to any concerns we might encounter, as well as adapting to misunderstanding. What really stood out was her ability to adapt to our instructions and solve problems on her own without hesitation. She even went above and beyond by keeping the house clean, even though it wasn’t part of her duties. We highly recommend Kim to anyone looking for a responsible, compassionate, and dedicated pet sitter. She truly exceeded our expectations!❤️🐱 P.s. Pumpkin is always loud”

About: I have been caring for pets for friends and family for many years. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up pet messes. Plus I love sending photos to owners to assure them that their pets are happy and cared for. I am mostly available weeknights and weekends. I am currently working full-time, but I have the ability to check in on pets during the day if needed. Weekday mornings are usually a little busy for me. While I cannot currently offer housing for pets in my home, partly due to a cat diva, I can promise to be respectful of any home I enter.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Loudonville
Maria was over the top amazing with my dog Brooke. After many attempts to find a pet sitter through our neighbors we decyto try River for the first time. Maria was the first to pop up near our home and was the perfect match! She even said she notice we were a bit in need and was gracious enough to try us for the first time. Maria came early for our first meet up, asked the right questions and is an absolute delight! She sent us pictures and positive feedback through the care process. Unfortunately, we were supposed to go camping for the entire weekend but due to lots of rain we had to cut the weekend short and I felt kind of bad but she was incredibly kind and understanding and helped me through the entire process seamlessly. I can’t thank her enough and am looking forward to our next visits with her and feel relieved to finally have a loving and caring responsible and professional pet sitter for Brooke. Maria is practically perfect in every way

Nicole was amazing! We have used Rover for years, but have never had someone come to our house, so I was very anxious to start this process in general. From the messages, to the meet and greet, to the actual dog sitting, I can confidently say Nicole was an excellent choice all around. She is very communicative and personable (putting my own anxieties at ease!), sent detailed updates, was incredibly respectful of our home, and all of my kids were very happy with her. My dog is often a loud and anxious weirdo, but was excited to both meet Nicole and then have her in our home. Even my temperamental cat wanted to interact with her. We will absolutely check her availability next time we are in need. Thank you so much again, Nicole!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
